As Bing Shi uncapped her bottle, she took a sip of the water with a relieved sigh; after all those scenes, her throat was starting to hurt. Her eyes observed Aoi Hong’s performance while her legs dangled freely in the air.
“Do you remember me?” Quin Yu examined the fully tamed Silika Lin. Did the presence of her husband cause that wild woman to make one hundred and eighty-degree turn in behaviour?
“Don’t talk to her,” Lu Kai put an end to the short, one-sided conversation like a father who was scolding his children, “Her reputation is unstable, the next thing you know, it will be Silika Lin trying to seduce a coworker’s man.”
“...” Quin Yu shifted his attention to Aoi Hong, keeping his silence. That man had to be hiding his identity for a reason, or else Mo Luwei would have thought twice whether to provoke Silika Lin or not. When he invited Lu Kai to his country, he was dismissed. But the moment someone’s mysterious wife appeared, that someone immediately began to secure a foothold in the country.

“Thank you, everyone, for your hard work,” Mo Luwei said, “I reserved a private lobby at Black Dragon. Dinner will be on me today.”
.....
Food for free at a famous BBQ restaurant immediately cheered everyone up.
Li Jie and Mo Luwei drove their car to the restaurant, Aoi Hong left with Quin Yu while Bing Shi tagged along with the crew.

The tables were connected to create a long rectangular shape, whereas the seating arrangement allowed the guests to sit opposite each other. As a small surprise for Silika, the crew decided to reserve a seat next to Li Jie, just for her.
“Thank you,” Bing Shi chuckled as she agreed to the crew’s arrangement. She chose to sit on a seat with only one chair free by her right.
The moment Li Jie appeared, everyone waved at him. After greeting him with a shower of enthusiastic waves, they all pointed at the seat next to Silika Lin enthusiastically.
“Could everyone stop with that? There is nothing between us,” in the end, Li Jie still sat next to Bing Shi, telling her to stop joking, “You should also stop with creating all these misunderstandings. Someone might actually believe it...”
“Why should I stop? I’m in the movie industry. I might as well enjoy the drama and go with the flow,” Seeing everyone’s anticipating eyes, Bing Shi handed Li Jie a small note from under the table, “This is my first love letter, please do accept it.”
——-?????——-
This Is A Love Letter. ??(°?°)??
——-?????——-
“...” After reading the short content, Li Jie showed the note before everyone’s eyes, “Do you understand now? She’s a big huge troll.”
Bing Shi watched Li Jie as she supported her chin on her palms. The small, upwards curl on the corner of her lips contrasted with the pain in her voice, “Ouch, I’ve been rejected.”
“You...” Li Jie looked at Silika Lin then at the rest of the crew. Everyone was sporting a teasing smile on their lips; let’s not mention the guffaws that threatened to spill out of their lips. That woman... She teamed up with the crew just to pull a prank on him!
Li Jie’s eyebrow physically twitched because of his frustration. Here he was, an innocent, hardworking man, just trying to clear up the misunderstandings people had between Silika Lin and himself, only to turn himself into a clown in front of everyone!
He suddenly missed his old acting career... When Quin Yu’s party and Mo Luwei arrived at the set, at the same time, Li Jie immediately stood up and offered his seat to Lu Kai.
Nobody could erase the image of Silika Lin’s room covered with Li Jie’s collections. From an outsider’s eye, it looked like a cold rejection from Li Jie’s side and Silika Lin trying to move on.
The atmosphere suddenly turned heavy when Lu Kai and Mo Luwei reached the chair next to Silika Lin, each with different intentions.
“An uninvited guest?” Mo Luwei stared at Lu Kai with disdain. His hand was settled on one side of the back of the chair. It was obvious that he had declared this seat, his own.
Murmurs and whispers about Lu Kai’s identity resonated between the crew.
“He’s Quin Yu’s personal doctor,” announced Aoi Hong in Quin Yu’s stead. She made a deduction herself as there was an accident in the middle of the road, where Lu Kai took care of Quin Yu’s wounds. That was why they arrived so late.
Lu Kai, ‘Shit, that sounds too rich.’
A doctor? Everyone looked at the young-looking man with even more respect. This man is Quin Yu’s personal doctor? He must be someone impressive to withstand the god of hell himself!
Some single women, with bad intentions and quite a bit of desperation, began to sharpen their claws in hopes to snatch this man who not only had status, but also looks (even though they didn’t quite compare to Quin Yu or Mo Luwei).
Lu Kai yanked the chair away from Mo Luwei’s grip and seated himself with a grunt. There was no need to do some silly, silent war, when you could just take what’s yours. And besides, he had no reason to give that childish Mo Luwei any attention.
“I’m just a simple art teacher,” he corrected Aoi Hong with a soft smile. He then continued to speak as his smile faded. He stared down at the frowning Mo Luwei, “Most importantly, I’m Silika Lin’s number one fan.”
The women, who were previously eyeing up Lu Kai, sheathed their claws when he announced his occupation.
Bing Shi looked up from staring at her plate of steak (Lu Kai noticed that the plate was untouched) when she heard what he said. Her eyes felt as if they were being attacked by onion slices as she asked Lu Kai, “Really? You’re... my fan?”
Lu Kai knew how drained Bing Shi must have felt. There was only so long she could handle being around big crowds, before she would shut down. Because of this, Lu Kai easily took control of the atmosphere and held everyone’s attention.
The staredown between Lu Kai and Mo Luwei ended when the latter moved away to sit on the seat opposite of Silika with a frown. That man... Lu Kai, was it? His behaviour would make sense if he was an ordinary man: arrogant with a small sense of presence between himself and Quin Yu but... Just who was Mo Luwei? He was the president of Mo group!
Was this Lu Kai another one of Silika Lin’s kind? That would make sense, he supposed. Lately, there were just too many people who didn’t show Mo Luwei the respect he deserved. With this thought, Mo Luwei picked up his phone and called his PA.
After a while, the manager of the restaurant arrived personally to pour the most expensive wine for Mo Luwei, describing every little detail about its worth. Everyone on the table watched in awe how the big boss spent a fortune on a bottle of wine. Was this what it was like, to be rich? Spend a fortune on small luxuries? How... wasteful, but it was to be expected of the rich! Their loud chatter, excitement mixed with envy, resonated in the spacious private room.
“A teacher?” Bing Shi asked quietly, her eyes curious. How much could a simple occupation turn off so many women from further approaching Lu Kai? It was to the point where Lu Kai was almost immediately ignored. Li Jie, Quin Yu and Mo Luwei stole all the spotlight.
“Mm, at Pujing Academy of Fine Arts,” Lu Kai sent a message to the Pujing university’s dan, asking for an employment contract. He tilted the phone in his wife’s direction so she could read the content.
“So cool,” Bing Shi hid a giggle behind her palm, giving Lu Kai the menu, “Choose one dish. This is a treat for being my number one fan.”
“Are there any other benefits?” Lu Kai chuckled, his eyes locked at her untouched food, “As your number one fan, I mean?”
“Countless,” Bing Shi nodded. While Lu Kai surfed through the menu, she got a notification, turning on her phone, she flinched in her seat when she received Silika’s nudes from Mo Luwei. She immediately took some precautions earlier that day when Xiao Pu ran to her in tears.
How many people got a hold of them? Were those pictures fake? How come she had no recollections of sending out these things when she received Silika’s body?
