Rakish Little Immortal Doctor

Chapter 795 - 795: Serial Killer

Probably triggered by Li Qianfan’s words, Lin Jiajia’s brows furrowed tightly in an instant.

“You talk as if you’ve dated countless women. Young man, I advise you not to be so boastful,” Lin Jiajia said.

“Sorry, but I’ve indeed dated a lot of women. It’s just that I’m a low-profile person, and I usually don’t flaunt these things,” Li Qianfan replied.

“Aren’t you flaunting it right now?” Lin Jiajia retorted angrily.

Liu Ruyan, seemingly caught off guard by the sudden argument between Li Qianfan and Lin Jiajia, hurriedly interjected, “Alright, stop it, both of you.”

“Ruyan… ah no, Sis, how can you side with an outsider over your own brother?”

Li Qianfan almost let something slip but quickly corrected himself.

Liu Ruyan, rolling her eyes, said exasperatedly, “You’re a man. Be more magnanimous.”

“Why should men have to be magnanimous? Who made that rule?” Li Qianfan shot back.

“Are you trying to drive me crazy?” Liu Ruyan snapped angrily.

Only then did Li Qianfan finally shut his mouth and remain silent.

But Lin Jiajia wasn’t ready to let it go. She glanced at Li Qianfan haughtily and sneered, “Have you looked in the mirror? With looks like yours, which woman would possibly be into you?”

“Are you done yet?” Li Qianfan said irritably.

Lin Jiajia seemed ready to say more, but Liu Ruyan quickly intervened, “Apologies, my brother is a bit immature. I’ll teach him a lesson later, don’t worry.”

“Much better,” Lin Jiajia snorted, turned away, and ignored Li Qianfan after that.

Through tightly focused sound projection, Li Qianfan muttered, “This woman is so damn conceited, acting as if she’s some big celebrity… By the way, I was only away to use the bathroom, and you started chatting with her?”

“I felt like she looked a bit familiar, so I struck up a conversation,” Liu Ruyan replied through Divine Thought Transmission.

“Did you figure out who she is?” Li Qianfan asked again, projecting his voice through the sound thread technique.

“No idea. All I know is that her name is Lin Jiajia,” Liu Ruyan shook her head and responded via Divine Thought Transmission.

Li Qianfan scoffed softly and said, “Probably just some nobody. No need to pay her any mind.”

An hour passed.

The high-speed train stopped at a station, and a fair number of passengers boarded, making the carriage more crowded.

Despite this, the environment onboard remained quite pleasant. The passengers were courteous, and there was hardly any loud chatter.

Lin Jiajia, on the other hand, remained silent and refrained from interacting with either Li Qianfan or Liu Ruyan.

She sat with her arms crossed, legs crossed arrogantly, exuding an air of disdain for everyone around her.

Her demeanor irritated Li Qianfan to no end.

Yet Li Qianfan had to admit, this woman’s figure was insanely attractive!

Her full and perfectly shaped chest was incredibly alluring, making Li Qianfan’s hands itch to reach out, grab them, and knead them fervently.

Her long, slender legs wrapped in black stockings were seductively mesmerizing, leaving Li Qianfan increasingly restless.

Perhaps sensing Li Qianfan’s obsessive gaze glued to her, Lin Jiajia abruptly turned her head, glaring at him disdainfully, and sneered, “Shameless creep.”

“What did you say?” Li Qianfan asked, his eyes widened in shock.

“I said, you’re a shameless creep. How long have you been staring at me? You really think I didn’t notice?” Lin Jiajia snapped.

“What if I was looking? If you don’t want people staring, then don’t go out! Besides, looking at you is doing you a favor!” Li Qianfan shot back without hesitation.

“So you admit you’ve been staring at me! Shameless!” Lin Jiajia shouted in fury.

Liu Ruyan felt a splitting headache coming on, wishing she’d slapped both Lin Jiajia and Li Qianfan right then and there.

It was at that moment that several train marshals, clad in uniforms and armed with firearms, suddenly walked into the carriage with serious expressions.

The lead marshal, upon entering, announced, “Everyone, please stay calm. I have an important announcement to make. Please remain composed and don’t panic… A dangerous wanted criminal has boarded this high-speed train using a stolen identity and is possibly in this very carriage.”

“That criminal is the notorious Jiang Qingshan. We need your full cooperation—please prepare to present your identification for inspection.”

As soon as the marshal finished speaking, the carriage erupted in chaos.

“What? A wanted criminal?”

“Jiang Qingshan? Isn’t he the guy who killed eight people last year?”

“For real?”

“How did Jiang Qingshan even get on a train? What were the security checks for?”

The passengers were thrown into a frenzy, speculating wildly among themselves. The lead marshal had to shout several times to restore order.

Li Qianfan and Lin Jiajia temporarily put aside their bickering, sitting quietly in their seats, waiting for the heavily armed marshals to conduct their search.

Shifting row by row, the marshals started their checks from the front, which meant it would take a little while to reach where Li Qianfan and the others were seated.

“Who is this Jiang Qingshan? Do you know about him?” Li Qianfan whispered to Liu Ruyan.

Frowning, Liu Ruyan said, “I’ve heard of him. Jiang Qingshan is a ruthless man. Not only did he kill his wife, but he also murdered her lover, his in-laws, his boss, and several colleagues.”

“That crazy?” Li Qianfan exclaimed.

Liu Ruyan elaborated, “Actually, Jiang Qingshan is a pitiable figure.”

“How so?” Li Qianfan asked.

“Jiang Qingshan was just a low-level office worker—a very ordinary, ‘nice guy’ type,” Liu Ruyan began.

“Then one night, after working late, he came home only to find his wife cheating on him with her lover. That scene pushed him over the edge; he grabbed a kitchen knife and killed them both in a fit of rage,” she continued.

“Having crossed that line, I guess he figured murder’s murder, whether it’s one or many. Either out of despair or madness, he went to his in-laws’ house that very night and killed them too,” Liu Ruyan explained.

“The next morning, he went to his workplace and killed his boss and supervisor—both of whom were known to belittle and humiliate him regularly. In the commotion, he even killed a few colleagues who used to give him a hard time,” she said.

“All in all, Jiang Qingshan killed eight people before going on the run. Somehow, either through sheer luck or skill, he’s managed to evade capture until now.”

After Liu Ruyan’s detailed recount, Li Qianfan was left dumbfounded.

“What a legend!” Li Qianfan gave her a thumbs-up.

Liu Ruyan glared at him before continuing, “Even though Jiang Qingshan had his reasons for snapping, it doesn’t change the fact that he took so many lives. If he’s caught, there’s no doubt he’ll face execution.”

“What about the Cultivator Administration Bureau? Can’t they step in? The regular police may struggle, but surely cultivators can capture him,” Li Qianfan asked.
