RE-AWAKENING: I ASCEND WITH A LEGENDARY CLASS
Chapter 313 Progress Before The Deadline (7)Different Prana Art could provide different benefits.
Almond’s Prana Art was top-tier one at that, the top-ranked one.
First, the better the Prana Art, the easier or rather faster it was to open the Geno Gates.
The difficulty of opening the gates would reveal from the 2nd Geno Gate and onward, but speed and method were also important.
Immortal Emperor ranked Prana Arts were best in that regard on the second layer.
Aside from that, Prana Arts could provide some benefits and manifest a power or rather, an innate talent.
Now, the quality and potency of these innate talents depended on the Prana Art’s rank.
The manifestation was also random, influenced by the user’s myriad of aspects and attributes, but as it was Body refinement, the innate talent was always based on and centralized around one’s body.
Almond had shut himself from all senses and solely focused on absorbing the energy and running Eternal Tapestry of Refinement to strengthen his Body Constituion.
The tower’s system also heeded his request and sent him a floor higher every minute.
Since Almond was improving rapidly with his Immortal Emperor ranked Prana Art, he only needed a minute or so at the maximum limit floor to increase his Body Constitution by around 10, so he climbed the floors every minute, though the speed gradually slowed as he climbed higher. When he arrived on the 100th Floor after roughly eight hours, the thread connecting all of his cells suddenly buzzed, rendering him a crazy amount of pain, but only briefly as the thread scattered into motes.
These motes washed over his body and gathered at his heart before beginning infusion.
Almond opened his eyes.
‘So it began.’
An innate talent was developing in him.
He looked at his status and saw that his Body Constitution was exactly at 200.
Not only that, his Mental Constitution also increased from 40 to 53.
Almond didn’t train further and left the tower.
He was feeling a bit weird as a strange energy was in some kind of process at his heart and he didn’t even know how long it would take for this innate talent to develop.
‘Whatever. I have to focus on increasing my Mental Constitution now. There should be a facility that can help increase that as well.’
He arrived back in the Central Lobby and went to the desk where he met Zek.
“Sup, brother Almond. I see that you’ve already made substantial progress,” Zek wryly smiled as he scanned Almond’s aura. “Damn, Immortal Emperor ranked Prana Art does work wonders.”
“What did you get from Phantom Library?” Almond curiously asked.
“I got an Immortal King ranked Prana Art,” Zek grinned. “Still, even though there’s only a difference of a single word between Immortal King and Immortal Emperor, the difference in training and overall power of the art is quite huge. You got your Prana Spirit?”
“Nah, it’s still in the egg form. Do you know when it will done hatching?”
“No idea. And from what I know, every Prana Spirit’s incubation period is different.”
“That said, how are these Prana Arts created?” Almond blinked.
“Well, up to the Immortal King ranked Prana Arts, you can copy them and let others use them as well. But Immortal Emperor ranked Prana Arts are different. Their books have specific intent and concepts infused into them, and those books also disappear and turn into Prana Spirit once you start training in the Prana Art.”
“I think Immortal Emperor-ranked Prana Arts are created in the third layer as I don’t think Immortal Emperor-ranked Powerhouses can create Prana Arts of the same rank.”
“I see…”
Almond knew the Immortal Emperor lifeform was the peak rank on the second layer like how the Mythical-rank or rather Mortal-rank lifeform was the peak on the first layer.
“Anyway, I need to know a facility that can help me improve my Mental Constitution.”
“Hmmm, increasing Mental Constitution is straightforward, yet very tricky. If you want to use the facility for it, I won’t stop you, but it has the highest amount of casualties.”
Almond raised his eyebrows, “People die while training?”
“Or become mad forever and kill themselves,” Zek wryly smiled. “Of course, if one is careful and in control, they would survive and even recover despite having some hiccups. I am just stating facts about this facility called…Devil’s Playground.”
“Devil’s Playground,” Almond repeated, his curiosity piqued.
“You can go there, but don’t you want to create your faction? Your 10,000 Academy Points won’t last long. Once you consume them, you’ll need support from factions to handle various missions given by the Academy and earn points.”
Zek grinned and added, “You should create one first. I’ll also join you. Factions can accept missions from the academy as they require a team to take them. Many newbies are waiting for you to create the faction, especially after the information of you getting Immortal Emperor ranked Prana Art was spread.”
Just as Almond was about to reply, a group approached them with one of them shouting his name.
Almond and Zek turned to them and saw six people coming at them, led by a handsome dark crimson-haired man with a lean yet muscled physique, but he wasn’t a human.
Rather, he was a vampire as indicated by his eyes and two fangs as he grinned at Almond. “So you are the famed newbie.”
In the group, there was also a familiar figure that Almond had totally forgotten, but the same couldn’t be said for that person.
Harken, the one whose chance to acquire an Immortal Emperor ranked Prana Art was snatched away.
Almond had left shortly after picking up his Prana and getting help from the elf girl Levia, but once Almond left, those Immortal Emperor-ranked Prana Art books also left.
The one that Harken attracted flew past him instead of returning to him. It even acted disappointed at him by slowing briefly before him to look at him before leaving.
That made him so angry, that he literally puked blood and became famous throughout the academy for losing this chance.
Of course, Almond didn’t know all that he wasn’t watching or reading Academy News channels.
However, Almond could feel the terrible killing intent aimed at him from Harken, so he knew that this group was going to waste his time.
“I am Almond. What business do you have with me?” Almond asked as he looked at the leader.
“Haha, you are right. I do have a business with you. I am Brian Vexfleet, the leader of the Crimson River Faction,” Brian grinned with a nefarious glint in his eyes. “I want you to join my faction.”
