Chapter 1875: Water Giant Tribe

The next few days, Sam and Mitra leisurely traveled and scouted the area around water city.

They took notes about the Water Giant tribe. They are a lot more aggressive than the Fire Giants because of the obvious pressure the Fire Giants are facing. Within the chaos, they just fished around and concentrated on capturing some water giants here and there.

"So, why are we doing this again? This is not our mission. We are supposed to wait for our orders."

Mitra asked as he knocked down a giant and carried him to their temporary hideout.

Sam looked at him and said.

"Why do you keep on asking so many questions?"

"I am a curious person."

"And I am a silent person. So, please explore your curiosity with no or fewer words."

"Alright, if you say so. Back to the question, why are we capturing them?"

Sam sighed and just shook his head. He resigned to his fate and said.

"Okay, it is basic strategy. We used the Water Giant tribe to fight the fire giant tribe, so currently the water giant tribe is pretty divided. The humans are fighting the Water Giant tribe from their front too.

Even if the human attacks are not exactly strong at the moment, it is still there.

If we start working on the Water Giants now, by the time we are done with the Fire Giants here, we can immediately move to finish off Water Giants.

Apart from that, I need to search for something as well."

"Searching for what?"

This time Sam didn't speak. He just controlled the puppets that are flying around capturing the layout. He has been on this for some time. Just like when he searched for the Fire heart, he is doing a thorough search of all the layouts.

But unlike before he is doing a very thorough and comprehensive observation and analysis of the whole area. The trees, plants, grass, soil, the beasts.

He didn't leave anything out.

Since he only needed to wait for the next mission announcement, he took his sweet time doing it.

Seven days passed just like that.

The duo went deep into the area of Water Giants and almost reached the Water City.

Sam is also well into his research and almost reached his goals.

At that time, the human commander made contact with Mitra.

"The mission for the Fire City capture is going to be a success. The Fire Giants are exhausted, they lost a lot of their people and they are facing pressure from Water Giants as well.

They are holed up in the Fire City. They are only focusing on their defense now.

We like this current status quo.

Once we finish them off completely we would be clashing against Water Giants who wouldn't be willing to let go of the chance to take over the Fire Giants' territory.

So, you guys should focus on Water Giants.

Unlike before, you don't need to wait for a specific time to create chaos. As long as you create a big incident, the attack from the humans towards the Water City will increase and we will push them from the side of Fire City.

We will take them off in a pincer attack.

Just let us know when you cause a big enough commotion."

That was the message.

Mitra was surprised once again. By this point, Sam doubted many times, if this guy is really worthy of being a young master. After all, his thinking is way too shallow and it is almost like he doesn't know anything related to strategy and tricks.

He is surprised by every little thing and he is very much lost if Sam does something complicated.

He sighed at the state of his teammate.

"At least he is strong."

Sam muttered and they left to deal with the Water Giant tribe.

This time, since the information gathering is done, Sam already had a plan in mind. The Water Giant tribe also had multiple factions, but they are a bit more united compared to the fire giant tribe. It would be hard to break it apart.

It might take some time and a step-by-step proper procedure for Sam to do it.

"So, who are we targeting first?"

"A squad that we marked before. They are our primary targets."

"Okay, what is the plan?"

"You attack the leaders, I will attack the minions. Brute force and Fire element that is it. But don't kill them, just leave a way out for them to escape."

"Sure. Let's go."

Just like that, they moved to the squad they were targeting and ambushed them. Sam took one of the hammers laying around in his storage as he bashed the crap out of the water giants.

And just like they planned, the water giants were only allowed to escape in one specific route. But as they escaped, they were met with a water giant that is from a different squad.

"Tenth Squad leader? What are you doing here? Anyway, it is good that you are here. We need reinforcements. Some humans have infiltrated the territory. They are causing chaos…."

This is what the leader of the target squad said as soon as the newly appeared water giant.

Too bad, in his excitement he failed to notice the massive inscription on his forehead and the eyes.

The giant attacked without even blinking. The squad that was already beaten to half death was killed off by this giant and after killing them, he fell off unconscious right there.

Exactly twenty minutes later, the Tenth Squad came to that spot. They got some clues about the location of their squad leader who went missing a day ago.

When they arrived, all they saw is their boss laying down unconscious, obviously exhausted from battle and the other squad that died.

They didn't understand the situation, but the whole thing is suspicious. And when they inspected their squad leader, they didn't find any anomalies. The inscription ink disappeared on its own.

The deadbodies and the squad leader were taken away by the squad to the nearest camp.

They wanted to extract the memories from the souls to get some info, but the souls were already extracted and there are no clues. The squad leader was placed on arrest while receiving treatment to recover.

Similar incidents kept on happening on that day at different areas within the Water Giant territory.

The squad leaders are attacking other squads and are killing them. There are no traces left behind and the only clues they could barely find are that there is a lot of fire elemental attacks that happened in the nearby areas.

At first they didn't think much of it. They just thought, the squad might have been clashing against the Fire Giants nearby with their war going at a full swing. But now they are having second thoughts.

Soon, all the captured giants are taken to the Fire City directly.

They were imprisoned and as soon as they gained consciousness, they started protesting.

After all, the last thing they remembered is being blacked out after they spotted something suspicious. When they were alone in the forest, they felt an impact on their heads and they lost consciousness. From that point onwards, they didn't remember anything.

For all they knew, they were captured by their own people.

They started arguing.

The whole water tribe's upper circle is puzzled with this. They couldn't just take heavy measures on these people. All they could do is keep them in house arrest while they investigated on what exactly happened.

But no matter what lead they discover, they are hitting a dead end.

While things are going on like this, two days later the water tribe held a meeting to figure out a conclusion for this whole fiasco. After all, the humans are also closing in from the front and the rear.

"How about we send all of the captured to the front lines? If they are loyal to us, they wouldn't mind going there since they are part of our troops, if they are disloyal, we would find them out."

This suggestion was brought up in the meeting and it was soon met with acceptance.

All the captured squad leaders were given the order. They would be sent to the frontlines, along with their squads. Their job is to charge ahead into the human camps.

The squad leaders were very delighted when they heard this. They were ready to fight, they are not ready to swallow suspicions and accusations. They would take the former over latter any time of the day.

But right before the squad leaders were deployed, after they fully got equipped, the inscriptions appeared on their foreheads. Their eyes were lost in daze.

They turned to their companions and then towards the city and they attacked.

The water giant tribe that was much more stable than the fire giant tribe was now just as unstable. As soon as the plan was implemented, Sam sent the information back to the human camp. The attack on the fire city was immediately concluded and the pincer attack on the water city started.

While that was happening, Sam went to pick something and awaited orders. Although, he could guess what he would have to do.
