1839 To the City
Kartikeya waved his hands.
A different screen appeared in front of the players. It looked like a map. But not any map, it is a realm map and some dots are blinking at different locations in different planets.
“The realm you are currently in actually has believers of different gods and they all fight. In fact, even believers of the same religion but different gods, fight each other frequently.
It is not an exaggeration to say that this is one of the most chaotic realms out there.
And the blinking dots on the map are all locations that are currently in the middle of a war. And there might be a new war breaking out every day.
So, your current task is, be a part of these wars. It doesn’t matter if you are going to fight in just one war or multiple wars, but in this realm you have to be part of war and you need to achieve a certain set of achievements and fulfil some conditions to go to the next level of the war game.
First condition is that you need to become a proper soldier of at least one of the forces. Not a mercenary for hire and certainly not some hidden helper. You need to be a proper soldier at least in one instance.
Second condition is that you need to fight alongside some troops as a soldier under some leadership authority and receive acknowledge of at least 1500 people that consider you a genuine ally. They should be confident enough in you to just give you a task and forget about it.
Third condition is that you need to be receive one of the highest honors from any of the armies that you might be part of. The reward should be given to you by the highest, second highest or the third highest authority of the force you are fighting for.
.....
Be sure that Seven star alliance is not considered a separate force in itself, Solar sect is. You have to keep that in mind.
Fourth Condition, you have to gain approval of your superiors and peers and lead a team that focuses on assassinations. It shouldn’t be a head on confrontation of the battlefield. Rather, it should be covert and critical assassination of targets. You need to carryout at least three.
Fifth Condition, you have to act as a leader and lead soldiers to occupy at least sixty percent of a vassal land under your enemies.
Your contribution should be at least fifty percent in the occupation.
Sixth Condition, Kill at least three thousand people with your hands. Using formations and other tricks won’t count. They have to die directly under your attack or your weapon.
Final condition, your cultivation should not be more than the Middle stage of Divine Plane Initiation by the time you are done with all of this.
You can move amongst the realm and try to target different wars, you can achieve all the contributions at a single place or you can do it in multiple places. But all the conditions must be fulfilled.
Once you finish these tasks, you will be able to move to the next stage of the war game.
It doesn’t matter if you finish it in one day or if you finish it in one year, you have to finish it there is no restriction of all the players finishing it.
You can use all the means under your disposal. No restrictions nothing.
But if you fail fulfil the conditions or if you break the condition by breaking past the middle stage of Initiation, you will be out of the game and be punished by death.
Any questions?”
The players all took a deep breath as they digested the information. It is pretty straightforward. They are now some stray soldiers here. They can pick a side, they fight, they kill, they make a name for themselves and then bounce.
That is all they have to do.
“Since there are no questions, you can go ahead. As I said, the first one to finish the conditions will get to go to the next round. That means you will have more time to play in the later rounds. So, be quick about this.”
He disappeared.
Sam and the players exchanged a glance. They didn’t expect this development, but they also felt a sense of freedom. During the hell round, they had a really really hard time. But now finally, they have some free reign. They can proceed and approach the task however they want.
They can even choose the sides.
Sam looked at them and said.
“I don’t know about you guys, but I am going to the Dark Sea Sect. They are the direct opponents of the Solar Sect and I don’t like the solar sect just because of their affiliation with Zeus.
I don’t even care what gods the Dark Sea Sect worships.”
The other players looked at each other.
“Since we are done with the task where we needed to work together, we are done here. I would like to make my own decision.”
Dayus said those words and left without so much as a thanks. Sam didn’t really care. He just smiled as he left.
He has already done everything he needed to do with Dayus.
“What about you guys?”
“I am not going to be part of this war. From the map, there is another war on the other side of the world. I will go take part in that. Can you hitch me a ride through space gate?” Arkiv said directly.
“Are you sure?” Sam asked.
“Of course. If you are in this war, it would be hard for me to get some contributions. You are going to take a huge chunk of that pie. I am not going to compete with you.”
When the remaining players heard this, they also decided it is not really worth it to compete with Sam for a share in the same area.
So, they immediately made a decision to move away from there.
Sam offered one way transference scrolls and sent them all away by that evening.
By night, he is the only one in that large room and he looked at massive statue that seemed to have been there just to disrupt the waterfall. The waterfall seemed like it is trying to destroy the statue.
He disappeared from the spot.
He reappeared in a forest not far away. The vegetation is thick. So thick, that the sunlight is barely coming in.
He took off on harbinger as he tried to reach the nearby city. It is time to gather some intel and this time, he doesn’t have to hold back. He has all the things at his disposal, all the tricks, all the toys and all the beasts.
