“Dare you do it again next time?” Chu Molin stared at the grinning woman who dared to defy him. Who gave her the guts? Now she knows who’s boss.

“Yes, I dare.” Qin Xue spoke fearlessly, wondering why the differences between men and women are so vast.

“Alright then, I accept your challenge. Feel free to challenge me again.” A hint of amusement flashed through Chu Molin’s eyes. She talked tough, but why did she have such a look of grievance on her face?

“I hate you.” Qin Xue really wanted to kick him. Chu Molin knew he was in the wrong but still acted innocent.

“Do you want to get up? Didn’t you say you’re going back to H Province today? Are you going or not?” Chu Molin gave her a slight peck on the lips.

“How about we go back tomorrow, and rest for today?” Chu Molin suggested to his wife.

“Get lost, you bastard.” Qin Xue was furious.

“Eh, guess I better shut up.” Chu Molin laid Qin Xue on the bed and touched his nose, admitting fault.

“Aren’t you coming?” Qin Xue was frustrated. She knew he was a wolf in sheep’s clothing, so why did she provoke him? She just wished she could bump her head against a block of tofu and die.

“Xue’er, you know I can’t resist you; I can’t resist anything about you. When it comes down to it, whose fault is this really?” As Chu Molin massaged her pressure points, he said this, dragging out the last word which made Qin Xue feel rather guilty.

“Chu Molin, I was just joking with you.” Still, Qin Xue spoke up in the end.

What will you do if you encounter danger, or if somebody stronger than you overpowers you, or drugs you while your guard is down? Would you still think you’re strong and capable then?

I’m your man; I can tolerate your behavior. But do you think others won’t harm you? Or do you not realize how beautiful you are?” Chu Molin gave Qin Xue a stern lecture. His face was ice-cold. He didn’t want something terrifying happening to her, did she not understand?

“Chu Molin, I know I was wrong. I won’t do it again, please don’t be angry.” Qin Xue didn’t realise that her casual comment could worry him so much. She wouldn’t have behaved like that with anyone else.
