REBORN IN THE EIGHTIES AS A HOUSEWIFE WITH A SPACE

“Are you taking a bath or resting?” Qin Xue asked, knowing foxes come out to find food in winter, especially snow foxes. In snowy weather, they could blend in with the snow, making them difficult to notice unless you were paying attention.
“I think I’ll bathe then rest.” Xue Ling thought, not voicing any concerns. She wouldn’t mind not bathing, but she had no choice. Having now taken human form, she has to learn human ways – so, she had to bathe.
“Then wait a bit; first, come with me to my room,” Qin Xue said, standing up to return to her room, and called Xue Ling alongside. She intended to put Xue Ling in her spatial dimension – that wasn’t something she could do here.
“Alright.” Xue Ling agreed, nodding and following her while the others continued their business.
“After bathing, why don’t you dry your hair before returning to your room?” Chu Molin asked, looking at his wife. But before he could say anything more, he saw Xue Ling following behind her, and said no more.
“I’ll put Xue Ling in the spatial dimension. She can only stay in normal space for a while before needing to return to the dimension. I’ll let her out again when it’s time to sleep,” Qin Xue spoke. As she was saying this, she moved the spiritual pet into the dimension.
This was the first time Chu Molin saw Qin Xue directly using her spatial ability – last time, he was asked to close his eyes, so he couldn’t observe. Now that he saw it, he found it fascinating.
“Chu Molin, do you want to get in?” Qin Xue looked at him with a mischievous smile. Before Chu Molin could respond, they suddenly found themselves in a different place.
“Xue’er, they might not find us if you do this,” Chu Molin didn’t remark on the sudden change of location but expressed concern about her father-in-law potentially looking for them.
“The master isn’t new to such willfulness, they’ll get used to it.” No sooner than Xue Ling arrived in the spatial dimension, she reverted to her true form, a snow-white fox appearing before Chu Molin.
“This is Xue Ling?” Chu Molin pointed to the orb of white snow at his feet, seeking confirmation.
“Yes, isn’t she cute?” Qin Xue replied, squatting down to hug Xue Ling in her arms.
“Not too bad, I suppose,” Chu Molin, seeing Xue Ling for the first time in this form, was surprised at how adorable she was. Even he, a grown man, found her beautiful. No wonder his wife loved her so much. He could imagine how others would’ve kidnapped her and taken her home. Some might even devise to kill her for her rare fur.
“Your sense of appreciation leaves much to be desired.” Qin Xue scorned him, understanding that his eyes conveyed that he found Xue Ling beautiful, but his words belied that.
“Whether she appears as a fox or a child, keep an eye on her; otherwise, you wouldn’t know where to find her,” Chu Molin ignored her remark and stated his worry.
“I know. But ordinary people wouldn’t find it easy to catch her,” Qin Xue countered. Other people might not know Xue Ling’s capabilities, but she did.
“Xue’er, remember, not everything is always constant in this world. Sometimes, under certain circumstances, certain things might not work,” Chu Molin cautioned his wife, realizing she had let her guard down.
“That shouldn’t be the case because Xue Ling isn’t an ordinary animal; she’s a Fox Fairy,” Qin Xue fell silent after hearing Chu Molin’s words.
“Indeed, you mentioned she’s a Fox Fairy, but are you aware of the immortals’ laws? Can they cast their magic on the likes of us, ordinary people? Could they harm people unconditionally?” Chu Molin posed two questions that left Qin Xue speechless.
