Chapter 1502 Last Cry

Ning arrived inside a large palace-like hall, filled to the brim with gold and silver artifacts and furniture. The room was a simple one, but it had been changed due to just the presence of such decorations.

At the center was a dining table full of men, dining on the meat of a freshly roasted pig that was served along with a few dozen other foods that were prepared for them.

They spoke and laughed, not noticing Ning's arrival in the room.

The only person who noticed Ning was a white-haired man at the end of the table who looked up to his right in confusion as that was where Ning had arrived. He was about to ask who Ning was when Ning reached out and punched the man in the face so hard that he broke through a couple of walls before landing outside.

The large explosion finally let others see that there was someone else in the room along with them.

Langoris quickly stood up from the ground, the dirt and dust falling off of him as he did so. He grabbed the right side of his face where Ning had punched him, his eyes wide in shock. He didn't feel pain from the punch, but he felt the force of the impact.

That was not something a regular person, or even an empowered one was supposed to be able to do. To do something like this, one had to be as strong, if not stronger than a Constellation.

Langoris' first thought was that Ning was a rogue Constellation that wanted to kill him and take over his place. But that was wrong. That was not what Constellations did.

In a fight between Constellations, it was impossible to tell who would be the real victor. What could be told was that there would be two losers, as both constellations would lose something.

So, Langoris quickly threw away the thought of Ning being a Constellation, but something else entirely. Something unknown.

Langoris didn't like anything unknown.

"What are you?" he asked, watching as Ning slowly walked through the rubble of the broken wall, steadily coming toward him.

"Langoris!" Ning said loudly. "How would you like to be forgotten?" Langoris' eyes narrowed. "Identify yourself."

"Won't help you," Ning said. "You don't know who I am or what I am. Farhalis didn't know, Indebiss didn't know, and Zurinus didn't know. So, I suspect you do not know me either. I'm afraid, just like the others, you will have to die knowing who I am either."

It didn't take Langoris very long to recognize not just the name of the constellations Ning spoke of, but also the fact that they were dead.

That was not what he had been expecting to hear today. The death of 3 constellations. That was a big deal.

"And you think you can kill me too?" Langoris asked. He wasn't sure if he could win against this unknown figure, but he was damn sure he wouldn't go out without a fight. He would even run away if need be.

"Kill you?" Ning chuckled. "I'm afraid I cannot kill you. Just as I cannot melt water or freeze ice, killing you is out of my power now."

Langoris didn't understand what Ning meant. "What… what are you trying to say?" he asked.

"Can't you feel it already? It started a few seconds ago, so you should be feeling the effects… right… about… … now!"

Langoris felt his existence collapsing. The power he had gathered for so long was being siphoned away. It was being taken by this unknown being in front of him.

He was experiencing death.

"You…"

"That is why I say I cannot kill you, Langoris," Ning said. "For you are already dead."

"Why are you attacking me?" Langoris asked. "What did I ever do to you?"

Langoris wanted to kill this man however he could destroy him. His anger was reaching heights that he hadn't felt since that one time so long ago when Zaraxus had humiliated him in front of so many other constellations. Langoris felt the same humiliation now and felt hatred like never before. He prepared an attack, about to use it when Ning disappeared. He tried to search for Ning, but Ning had arrived behind him already.

"It's nothing personal, I'm afraid."

Ning kicked Langoris, sending him flying straight into the stratosphere. He teleported up there once again and punched Langoris again, sending him flying out of the planet's gravitational pull, directly into space.

Langoris tried to fight back, but his energy was being depleted very quickly. He tried to attack Ning, but his attacks barely did anything to Ning.

He tried to open a portal to another place in the galaxy, but Ning collapsed his portal before he could form it.

He tried to call for help, but Ning silenced all of his messages before they could go out to the other Constellations.

"Damn you!" Langoris shouted. "I won't die like this. I'll take you out with me!" Ning smiled. "You may try."

Langoris gave it everything he could. He attacked Ning with all sorts of powers, but Ning had the energy of 3 Constellations in him right now and a system that allowed him to do virtually everything he could think of.

Countering a single constellation, that apparently was not even that strong to begin with, was a piece of cake on his end.

Ning toyed with Langoris for a while. Their fight lasted for a long time in comparison, nearly 15 whole minutes during which explosions flew all around in the vastness of space.

Their fight was one that could threaten planets, and yet no one was there to witness it. Even as Langoris reached the end of his life, dying at the hands of Ning, no one was there to witness it or even hear it.

The last cries of the Will who called himself a god were silenced by space itself.

Langoris disappeared into motes of light, flowing back into Ning as he absorbed all the remaining energy.

Langoris was dead.
