Justicio, among the many young brats that gathered around Aquarina all the time, he was one of the few that was fine with her slightly… well, peculiar personality. He was always very chill. And therefore he was friendly with pretty much everyone.

Many kids had tried making friends with Aquarina before, but they were slowly filtered because of the "rough" way she often treated others.

Only Justicio and Silvia were patient enough to be around her and not mind her rudeness from time to time. If anything, they were extremely aloof and also very calm, the two of them. Although Justicio was more of the chill type while Silvia liked fooling around everywhere.

It also helped that he was already Silvia’s childhood friend, so once Silvia absorbed Aquarina into her little group the boy was forced to also adapt.

Much like Silvia, Justicio was a tall boy with a muscular frame, although not as slender as Silvia, he had large arms and shoulders. As a half desert elf and amazonian, not only did he have a long lifespan, but he also had a strong physique.

Right now, there were no original members of Bjorn’s clan or their descendants, and every descendant that was alive already had the bloodline of desert elves mixed with them. This ended creating a very strong tribe of physically powerful and also magically gifted people.

As one of Aquarina’s friends, and second of the only two friends she had made through the year, she thought that nobody else but him could fill in the role of the third member for the Inheritance Trials.

"Yo! Wanna join the Inheritance Trial in a week from now?" asked Aquarina. "We got a party with Silvia, but we need our third, so you’re perfect."

So she invited him right away, Silvia nodded at that.

"Yeah!" Silvia said, patting Aquarina’s shoulders. "Join us! Right now! No questions asked! No verification required!"

"W-Wait what?!" Justicio spat out the many little black seeds of the fruit he was eating, which looked juicy. "Don’t be ridiculous! I am not even qualified for that, man… It’s scary to even think about it! Joining such a thing… Hasn’t people died in that?"

"Nah, Svana said you’re in," Aquarina smiled. "You’re more than qualified. Right Silvia?"

"Yeppers," said Silvia. "You’re strong Justicio! Probably the strongest boy your age around the village! Most people aren’t as young as us though so it’s not too hard to become the strongest."

"N-no way! Really?!" Justicio seemed to despair even more, grabbing his head. "W-Wait a second! Why did you even tell Svana about it… Man. I’m screwed now. I didn’t want to do something so tedious. Though, it is flattering to hear the chief thinks I’m qualified… Ah, what should I do?"

"Hahah! Calm down, I’m Tier 8 and super strong, I’ll carry you two," said Aquarina. "I just need you two to fill up the number of participants necessary. I’m plenty strong I could take the trial on my own maybe."

"Tier 8! Really?! I’m still stuck at Tier 7 myself…" said Justicio.

"Me too!" said Silvia. "But yeah Aquarina’s Tier 8! Didn’t you know? For a while now! She also has a Divinity Spark! So she’s amazingly strong! We got this! Imagine if we get carried, and then we can enjoy the goodies, Justicio. We could get so strong! Our position in the village would improve."

"Hm…" Justicio nodded, considering the plus and cons. "Ah, fine… okay then. If Aquarina says so… I suppose I should trust my friend." The boy said with a relaxed smile.

Despite looking all worried, he was quite like Silvia, very relaxed and chill, they never overthink things more than usual.

"Nice!" Aquarina smiled. "Ah, I wish I could give you guys a System Seed…"

"System what?" Justicio wondered.

"Ah, nothing, never mind," Aquarina shrugged. "Haha, anyways, shall we train and warmup for the big day?"

"I was thinking on going to hunt with my bow, yes," Justicio smiled. "I want to eat some bird… or wyvern for lunch. With some potatoes and roots and… hmm, spicy sauce."

"Sounds nice!" said Silvia. "I’ve heard that a large amount of Feathered Serpent Wyverns had been seen lately to the northern steppes! We should go check them out! I’ve never seen Feathered Serpent Wyverns before after all!"

"I wonder how they look…" said Justicio. "Are they like… a serpent with feathered wings, maybe?"

"I think so, maybe," nodded Aquarina. "But we’ll see how they are. I’m also kind of hungry to be honest, so let’s eat whatever we catch guys."

"Nice idea! But it’s annoying when the vultures gather around…" said Silvia.

"I can take care of that!" Pyuku said, sitting over Aquarina’s head.

"Right, Pyuku can do it," nodded Aquarina. "He can turn into a huge camp now, so he can protect us from the sun and also from vultures."

"Oh nice!" Silvia clapped. "You’re so useful Pyukuuu! And cute too!"

"Yes especially cute," Justicia smiled, petting Pyuku. "I can’t believe you got three familiars and one of them is Pyuku, Aquarina. You’re so lucky… I still have no familiars at all… My dad reprimanded me saying I needed a familiar because we are all descendants of elves."

"Hmm, I mean…" Aquarina muttered. "It’s not like it’s easy, right? You’ll find some Spirit eventually. Desert Elves are restricted in what they can contract right?"

"Not really but we are restricted in what we end up attracting," said Silvia. "Usually, Desert Spirits and Ore Spirits approach us the most. Earth Spirits too and the like… Sometimes there’s rare Cactus Spirits! And the very miraculous Water Spirit. But you have so many already, so everyone thinks you’re very blessed Aquarina."

"Uh-huh," Aquarina nodded. "Didn’t knew that tidbit of info… I guess I’m like a sacred figure then, I can even conjure water to existence easily!"

"Some call you Water Priestess after all…" Justicia said while resting his hands behind his head.

As the trio made their way outside the village, they reached the drier outskirts, sometimes seeing a few villagers here and there.

"So, to the Northern Steppes?" Aquarina asked.

"Yep, let’s go! The last one is a rotten egg!" Silvia ran as quickly as she could.

"There she goes again…" Justicio yawned.
