Reincarnated With A Glitched System: Why Is My MP Not Running Out?
Chapter 1614 1614: A Single Punch!—–
Nepheline, after analyzing the city and grabbing some shinty shells for herself, walked into the castle, forcefully opening the gate using her stone and ore manipulation, which even applied to Orichalcum after her growth so far.
It took her some effort, but it didn’t seem to be something overly taxing either, this just showed how strong she had become, as Orichalcum had always been deemed a metal impossible for normal people to even mold or wield, the toughest of them all.
Yet, after Nepheline grew stronger to the point she is right now, and after learning the true origins of this metal, she grew capable of wielding it, although not without difficulties or effort.
However, the moment she walked to the last room in the castle…
SPLASH!
Nepheline was shocked as she fell to the ground, looking around and then behind her. She noticed a membrane of water behind her, right around the entrance to this hall. It seemed that this place was dry, completely separated from the water on the other side of the castle.
She quickly realized there was a bubble that separated the seawater from the fresh air down below, perhaps done through some kind of magic of the dungeon itself, meaning that the third floor wasn’t underwater as she imagined.
Once she calmed down, she slowly stood back up and looked around while stretching her arms and legs. She was all wet, and wished her daughter could be here to clean her water. Her Water Magic was perhaps her most underdeveloped one, as she was only capable of conjuring Spells up to Tier 4.
“I guess I should just wait for Shade first while I dry out my clothes or something, fighting while being wet is freaking annoying and-“
BAAAM!
Nepheline’s eyes widened, as she suddenly saw something, a huge silhouette, a figure, fall from the ceiling and land right in front of her.
“Hm? Damn… Look at you!”
It was a huge golem made of orichalcum, shining bright gold, with massive and bulky arms, tin legs, and a head shaped like a shark. It looked more mechanical and machine-like rather than a bulky and normal looking golem made of metal.
“Hoh? I guess this wasn’t going to be as boring as I thought!”
Nepheline cracked her knuckles, as she prepared for battle and…
FLASH!
“Hm?!”
The golem rushed towards her at lightning speed, with a single step, it appeared right in front of her! Its massive, bulky arms began releasing mechanical sounds as gears started to propel a large centrifugal force, golden flames encompassing the arm.
BOOOM!
A single blow came with a blazing explosion, hitting Nepheline’s face with full power, the blow alone released a shockwave that shook the entire castle.
RUMBLE!
As the smoke dissipated, the golem’s crimson eyes suddenly began to glow brighter, alarmed.
Nepheline’s bulky, muscular body seemed unscathed as she emerged amidst the smoke, the blow hit her face directly, but not even her nose was broken.
Her brown skin shone bright with a metallic sheen; her skin resembled an alloy made by combining several different metals together.
“Heh, this is the first time I see one like you… You’re different, aren’t you?”
She smiled, as the golem’s eyes shone brightly, its other arm rapidly overflowed with golden flames, propelled by giant propulsors at their elbows.
BAAM! BAAM! BAAM! BAAM! BAAM!
Nepheline was battered with tremendously powerful blows that could easily spread cracks through mountains! The shockwaves alone broke through the ceiling, floor, and walls, as pieces of stone flew everywhere.
And yet…
“That didn’t even tickle, are you even trying?”
Nepheline gras grabbed one of the golem’s metallic hands, and then she exerted force, beginning to shatter the metal with her bare hands, explosions of electricity erupted as the circuits and internal wires began to burn.
Crack, crack…!
CRAAASH!
The golem began punching Nepheline, kicking her, and firing beams at her while she still held on its arms, explosive blows engulfed her entire body and yet…
BOOM!
“Not bad…”
“Maybe you could’ve been an okay challenge back then…”
“But right now? You’re not going to get through me, even if you’re made of Orichalcum.”
Nepheline’s fists closed, and then she grabbed the golem, which weighed several tons, dragging it into the air as if it were merely a ragdoll.
And then, as it was in midair, she moved forward, punching the golem right through its chest, the orichalcum encasing was easily shattered into pieces as she controlled the particles of the metal itself before breaking it.
BOOOMMM!!!
The golem instantly exploded into pieces, its core was immediately shattered despite also being as hard as a diamond, it was a crystal after all, something she could also modify and control, easily destroying it once she got through.
“Hmm, that wasn’t even a warmup.”
She sighed, cleaning her hands as the pieces of burning metal fell to the floor, she quickly stored them inside her Storage Earring, before moving forward towards the staircase.
“I assume that was something like a boss battle or what?”
Nepheline wondered for a second, remembering that her daughter told her that every piece of Khepri’s ornaments were being guarded by an Orichalcum golem.
However, last time, they didn’t find any, it seemed the thing had been greatly misplaced and was now here, unable to guard the ornament of Khepri from robbers that could come to steal it.
“I suppose it’s better that way, I don’t know if Aquarina and her pals would’ve been able to easily defeat this one, it definitely was of a stronger model…”
She glanced at the junk for a moment walking downstairs a second before someone came through the bubble.
SPLASH!
“Nepheline! Are you there?”
“Oh?”
Nepheline stopped midway through, walking back to find Shade was back.
“Where are you going? Didn’t you said you just went to explore?”
“A-Ah, I forgot to tell you… there’s a third-floor honey!”
“I can see that…” Shade said. “Hmm? Smells like burnt metal… What are these pieces?”
“I fought an Orichalcum Golem and defeated it with a single punch,” Nepheline said. “We’re done here though, let’s go deeper!”
“A single punch?! I remember it used to take you longer than that…!”
“Well, not anymore! For a while now…”
