"Then what else do you want me to think? Why did you want to get close to me?" Reva asked, her glimmering azure eyes looking at him with a certain expectant gaze.

"Because...I want you…" Damien said softly as his gaze made Reva feel like her soul was thawing.

"Wh...What did you just say?" Reva felt her heart suddenly picking up the pace for no reason as she unconsciously took a step back again as Damien appeared to come closer to her. She could hardly believe the words that came out from his mouth, especially when he didn't even bother to hide them in any way.

The Damien standing before her seemed a bit different from the Damien before he left for the Gale Empire.

This time his aura not only appeared more fatally charming but also more domineering as if no force could stop him.

Damien felt that he had to come out with his true feelings and confess while the time was ripe, "You have stolen a part of my soul, Reva. And now I want yours as well. I know you have feelings for me..."

Reva's expression froze as she felt a strange, unfamiliar feeling in her chest. But then she slowly shook her head as she said in a taut tone, "Who said I like you?"

Damien softly chuckled as he said, "If you didn't, why would you care if I lied or not? Why would you be so hurt or concerned thinking that I was lying to you this whole time? If you didn't really care about me, why would you help me with things in the past when you never had to?"

Reva's face couldn't help but heat up as she looked away and said, "That's because I am your—"

"Teacher? How long are you going to hide behind our teacher-student relationship? But if that's how you want to play, then I am willing to cross a taboo with my teacher," Damien said with a burning gaze.

Reva's eyes widened a bit as if she was taken aback to hear these words from him and immediately said in a flustered manner, "You are talking nonsense. I am leaving!"

She immediately turned around to walk towards the door and leave even though this was her own room. She was too flustered to even think about the fact that she was running away from not only him but from her own room.

She didn't even bother to think about where she was going to go.

She felt as if her thoughts were going haywire and restless and needed to settle them down. Never before had she experienced such a situation.

"You are not going anywhere," Damien adamantly said as he blocked the door with his arms while trapping her against the door with his body.

"What is the meaning of this?" Reva felt her heart rapidly beating, though on the outside, she asked him in a stern voice while turning around, only to get startled by how close Damien was standing before her.

Nobody had ever dared to even come closer to her like this, let alone look at her eyes for more than a second.

But this devilishly handsome man seemed like he knew no fear or had any regard for her status.

"I want to know your answer...I want to know how you feel about me," Damien said as his gaze melted onto hers and continued, "Till you say it...I won't let you go."

She couldn't understand why her mind was going blank in this situation or why she was having these strange feelings.

All she knew was that the moment Damien barged into her life, she felt the world seemed more colorful and lively. Till then, she felt as if everything was an icy prison from which she could never escape.

From the day they started to have evening classes, she felt as if each and every moment she shared with him in those evenings made her feel like the icy prison was slowly melting in his presence.

His warm touch when he tied the friendship bracelet on her wrist and whenever he taught her to cook her favorite dishes, she couldn't forget the feeling of his touch. It was as if he had left behind a hot imprint on her.

At first, she decided to entertain his presence only because she thought she wanted to see if he could be trusted, especially since he had joined the Forsaken.

Only over time, she realized that she had long forgotten about her original mission and began to interact with him freely.

But when she realized he went to the Gale Empire for the pandemonium needles, she was able to put two and two together and realized the true identity of Alchemist Azrael, making her think whether Damien was indeed using her or not.

She didn't care what he really thought about the Xeton Empire or her father but how he really saw her.

"I...I have nothing to say…" Reva looked away while wondering why she was still standing here. Her soft chest was heaving up and down slightly, her heart beating like there was no tomorrow.

Damien narrowed his eyes, seeing how this woman was too stubborn and wouldn't melt that easily. He could feel in his heart that she didn't merely see him as a friend. Otherwise, there was no way she would let a friend get this close to her, especially someone who wasn't used to having someone this close to her.

This only made him remember the same woman in his mind whenever he was with Reva, and there was only one way to make her show her true feelings.

"Then there is only one way to find out," Damien said as he suddenly grabbed her nape and pressed his lips onto her cold yet soft velvety lips.

Reva was too distracted and wasn't able to react in time before she found her lips getting enveloped by something warm, soft yet firm, "Mmh!~"
