"But how is Senior sure that this Origin Seed or whatever it is in my ethereal core could help me gain more benefits. What is this Origin Seed exactly?" Damien asked in a guileless tone.
"The Origin Seed is not something a mortal should possess. In fact, the reason I wanted to take a look at it is to see how much time you have left to live," Yohr said in a serious tone.
Damien frowned, "Time left to live? What does senior mean?" Damien asked in a worried tone though inwardly, he could already feel strange vibes from his answer. It was not like Damien had no idea what an Origin Seed was, especially when Luna explained everything to him.
The only reason he even pretended not to know anything about an Origin Seed was to hear Yohr's answers and confirm his speculations.
Yohr sighed and said, "Child, I know you are afraid. But this is not the time to give yourself up to fear but instead, think about dealing with the problem and finding a solution. As for the former, it's something up to you, and as for the latter, that is something only I can help you with. With my divine knowledge, it is almost impossible for a problem to exist which I can't solve."
'Isn't this god a bit too much?' This was the first time Damien was meeting such an eccentric god who had no shame in bragging like this, even if it was true. Usually, godly beings wouldn't even need to brag since their presence alone would speak volumes.
"But why would the Origin Seed inside me shorten my life? What does it do exactly?" Damien asked with a concerned expression.
"It's because it's a thing made by ancient demons to increase their power but at the cost of their own lives. Since they were powerful beings, they had a really long lifespan compared to mortals. So even if their lives were shortened, they would at least live a thousand years and assert dominance as long as they lived. I don't know how such a demonic seed ended up inside you, but since you are a mortal, you were not built to possess such a seed, and you might not even live five more years with such a seed in your ethereal core. Now you might not feel anything, but one day it will suddenly show its true nature and devour your ethereal core along with you," Yohr said in a grave tone as if he was very concerned about Damien's wellbeing.
"What kind of bullshit is this guy serving me, Luna?" Damien started to feel uneasy since, by now, it was obvious that this god had some ulterior motives by feeding him a big pile of nonsense.
He already knew what an Origin Seed truly was, not only from Luna but also from the last remaining soul fragment of Anti-God himself!
There was no reason for any one of these two primordial gods to lie to him, especially when they stand nothing to gain. If he was really going to die within five years, would Luna remain so calm? Without him, how will she survive?
"It was a mistake coming here, shit!" Luna said in a serious tone and continued, "But we could only learn it the hard way. At least now we are sure of one thing. This puny god is after your Origin Seed. You have to find a way to get out of here!"
"Don't worry, Master. Even if I am weak now, I was once more powerful than even a Demi-God. I can help you get out of here even if it means laying down my life," Kalypso said in a determined tone as if she meant each and every word she said.
Because of the guilt she had towards her previous master, she was even more eager and determined to make sure her present Master did not suffer the same fate.
Damien was surprised to hear that Kalypso was as powerful as a god once, while all this time, he thought she was a false god in her prime.
"Nobody is going to die or needs to die for me. We all are getting out of this," Damien strongly said though inwardly he couldn't help but feel that he was quite in a pickle. How was he going to fool a divine being and run away from here?
And even if he ran away, would that solve anything other than buying some time? This god can easily destroy him without even lifting a finger and just use the Xeton Emperor to deal with him.
"Are you worried about something? Your expression seems quite serious?" Yohr asked though his tone had begun to get a bit heavier.
Damien realized that in the heat of things, he had forgotten how divine beings could observe even the slightest of things and immediately restrained his emotions from spilling outside.
Luna was there to help mask his heartbeat and even the undulations of his soul, even if he was feeling anxious or worried. Otherwise, Damien would have to try really hard to mask his emotions and smoothen his heartbeat in front of a divine being to avoid getting caught.
Damien immediately answered, "Yes. After hearing what you said, it seems like this Origin Seed might be a bad thing for me despite the amazing powers it has given me. But can you give me some time to think about it before I think of how to get rid of it? I mean, you are offering to get rid of this Origin Seed for me, right?"
"Of course. Even if I have lost all or most of my divine abilities, removing an Origin Seed from a mortal should be no problem for someone like me," Yohr confidently said and continued, "But walking around with that Origin Seed is very risky, especially with the passing of each second. It might even react to your mortal ethereal core abruptly and cause you to explode at any time, like the next minute, an hour later, or a week later, and so on. We can't tell for sure, and you can consider yourself being lucky all this time. So you have to make a decision now," Yohr said as his tone became a bit oppressive, making Damien feel as if his mind was being forced to make a decision, making him inwardly feel pissed off seeing how this god was pretending to be concerned but was subtly blackmailing him at the same time.
"Luna, you said my Origin Seed can't be used by other gods.. Then why is he so desperate for it??" Damien asked frantically as his mind continuously searched for a way to deal with this god and get out of this dangerous situation.
