Damien didn't have much time to think about the Xeton Emperor's true intentions as he quickly took out Blake and Shania's talisman to request their help and also to inform them that their people and even the place they were staying in were in danger.
And not a few seconds later, Shania and Blake immediately appeared before Damien with confused expressions, which turned into one of shock and worry when they saw an unconscious Reva in someone's arms.
Before they could launch an attack at this stranger, they noticed that he looked like Damien…no he was! His ethereal aura was still the same but seemed thicker and stronger…how? Still, Reva's present state distracted their mind from these thoughts.
They didn't dare to jump to conclusions as Shania worriedly asked, "Oh my god! What happened to Reva?"
Blake's expression also became pale with worry seeing Reva like this, and since her body didn't seem to have suffered any serious injuries, he inspected her soul to find out that someone had dealt her a severe attack to her soul, which had made her unconscious like this.
Who could possibly be strong enough in this ice cave to deal severe damage like this to her? Damien wouldn't surely hurt her. Otherwise, he wouldn't even call them in the first place. Were they under attack from an enemy without any warning?
"Seniors, there is really no time for explanations. But all I can say is that we have to get out of here right now. Please tell senior Irene that she has to evacuate her people before the emperor comes here. There are only a few minutes left before he comes here. I will carry Reva safely with me. You all have to leave as fast as possible. Maybe somewhere not even the Xeton God knew," Damien frantically explained since time was running out and hoped that these two seniors would believe him even though he knew what he just told them could make him look like a madman.
After all, why would the Xeton Emperor even come here for no reason, considering he even knew about this homebase in the first place. Wait...or did he?
However, Shania looked into his eyes, and based on his expression and tone, she could make out that what he said was true no matter how ridiculous it sounded, and he was someone Reva had faith in.
So she nodded and said, "Alright. But you have to give us a clear-cut explanation of what is going on, especially to senior Irene. But take this talisman. It will lead you to a teleportation formation where you can take Reva to a safe place that nobody else other than senior Irene knows. Let's go, Blake!"
Blake also shared the same thoughts as Shania since Damien wasn't the type to joke about these things, and Reva's state was proof that something unthinkable had happened which they didn't see coming.
An alarm resounded in the entire Forsaken camp as confused Zirians stepped out, having no idea why the emergency alarm, which usually would go off if someone was attacking them, was going off without any enemies invading them right now. Was it a drill, or did Mother Irene sense something?
For Zirians, Irene was like their god and their mother, who, despite being so old and powerful, was still watching over them and her words were like the law for them. They would even die for her and had blind faith in her.
Irene, who was busy meditating, was surprised to hear the emergency alarm go off, and right before she could investigate what was going on, Shania and Blake had arrived before her and quickly told her the gist of things Damien had told them, making Irene's brows furrow as she picked up her walking stick and got up, "Something serious has happened, and I can't even sense the Venerable One's presence anymore. It is as if he disappeared. This could only mean trouble, and Damien must be right in telling us to evacuate. Quick, power up our main teleportation formation and bring everybody out of here. I will follow behind after everybody gets transported."
Shania and Blake bowed as they rushed to follow her orders while Irene let out a sad sigh since because of whatever was going to happen, she and her people were going to lose this precious homebase that they had been living in for quite a while.
It was very difficult to even find a safe place like this, and now it was no longer safe. But what worried her the most was Damien's words about the Xeton Emperor showing up here.
This could mean that there was either a traitor among them or the Xeton Emperor was just too cunning and more dangerous than she thought.
In a time like this, she would have gone to the King of the Frosty Seas to ask for guidance, but since she couldn't feel his presence anymore and he didn't even summon her, then it could only mean that whatever was happening was something unexpected, especially since Damien asked her to transport the people to a place, not even the divine king knew about.
She didn't waste time anymore and personally used her abilities to help her people use the teleportation formations spread across this place and also to destroy them after they had fulfilled their purpose since she couldn't let Ruthren trace it back to their only safe place left.
It was a place only she knew and the only place left to keep her people safe.
Meanwhile, Damien had followed the instructions transmitted to his mind through the talisman to access a teleportation chamber in a secret place and got into the circle before activating it.
He made sure that nobody was around, otherwise, Reva's identity might get exposed as the Xeton Princess among her people, and he felt that right now, it might not be a good thing.
However, the teleportation circle only briefly got activated before powering down, making Damien shout in frustration, "What the hell? There is no energy source? Oh shit…are we trapped?"
