Reva pointed towards a large water reservoir that seemed to be somehow coming from a vast source like an ocean and was being passed through another formation to get it converted into the water-like ethereal energy that was flowing towards the main formation.
The water reservoir was just pouring in like a huge waterfall, and Damien gulped, wondering how he was going to freeze up the whole thing when he had no expertise in that area. He could see that this water was not ordinary and was instead coming through another formation on the outside, especially since he could sense the ethereal energy imbued in it.
He was sure Reva could do it if only her condition was in a better state, but right now, he knew that she was pushing herself to even stay conscious, and making her exert her ethereal energy could only cause a backlash on her. Otherwise, she wouldn't be asking for his help.
"Reva..are you serious? That thing is like a huge dam. Besides, I have never even used my ice elemental seed before," As Damien said this, he even tried to gather some icy, ethereal energy on his hand to try and see how much control he had over it.
"Damien…you can do it. I believe in you. The fact that you even successfully assimilated Yohr's legacy means that you have the potential to master your new elemental seed. In fact, it could be even easier for you," Reva could already sense her ethereal energy getting attracted towards Damien's aura, and she could feel that his ethereal core gave birth to an ice elemental seed after assimilating Yohr's legacy, though she had no idea that he even assimilated Yohr's Origin Seed.
Misty azure energy began to coalesce in his hand, and Damien immediately began to try and freeze the water source by placing both his palms on the water.
This was his first time trying to use the power of his ice elemental seed, and since he was not used to it, it just felt quite strange. But within moments, he was able to draw upon lots and lots of icy ethereal energy to the point his entire body was now channeling icy energy, making his aura become quite cold and frosty as well.
Reva was astonished to see how quickly he was able to channel the icy energy throughout his body when usually those who try to use their elemental seed for the first time would at most only be able to channel a wisp of their elemental seed's energy.
Still, Damien frowned when he realized that the water's temperature was indeed lowering, but it was not freezing up despite him channeling such a large amount of icy ethereal energy.
He realized that he may have succeeded in drawing upon lots of icy energy, but his control of this energy was still miles behind what he needed to achieve his task.
To freeze such a large amount of ethereal energy-infused water, he would have to focus his icy ethereal energy on freezing up the ethereal energy infused in this water. Otherwise, all he would be doing would be simply making the water go cold at best. Heck, he couldn't even make his icy ethereal energy spread over to at least slow down the flow of water.
He tried his best to focus his icy ethereal energy, but they were just not being accurate enough to freeze the water. If he had even higher cultivation, maybe his icy ethereal energy would have been strong enough to freeze the whole thing without concentrating itself, but now Damien felt it as hard as trying to thread a needle that was too big.
And the fact that his mind was counting down the time was only making his body tense up the more he realized how his abilities were not working in the way he wanted to.
He was metaphorically sweating bullets as his hands began to shake from the extensive use of his icy ethereal energy.
He felt as if this was suicide, and he should have just dragged Reva along with him and escaped through the teleportation formation, even if that meant she would hate him for what he did.
But suddenly, a pair of soft arms hugged him from behind, her big supple mounds pressing against his back as she whispered into his ears softly, "Relax your mind, Damien. The most important thing to master our ice elemental seed is to first have control over your own emotions and thoughts. Ice is supposed to be cold and tranquil, without any ripple. Your emotions can affect the flow of your ethereal energy through your body. Forget about the situation we are in…forget about our surroundings, and just focus on my voice…Clear your mind, calm your emotions, and then you will know the true power of the icy energy flowing through your body."
There was only a minute left, but Reva felt that hugging her lover while fate decided what to do with them didn't seem so bad. She still believed in Damien that he could do it, making her show him the way.
Reva's gentle and clear soft voice magically calmed down the ripples in his mind, and her words introduced him to a whole new perspective about the icy energy flowing through his body.
Just like she said, he forgot about the fact that they were this close to blowing up along with the entire place and got rid of every other thought, and instead, all he thought about was freezing up this large amount of water before him.
His body had calmed down along with him and no longer showed signs of visible tension as the ethereal energy in his body began to become denser before flowing towards his hands.
"Reva! What do you think you are doing??" Irene's sudden appearance startled Reva, who immediately got up and looked at her, realizing that her grandmother was here to drag her to the teleportation circle.
"I am not leaving, grandmother!" Reva adamantly said as she stood behind Damien with a resolute gaze.
"Then I will just have to drag you there even if you are going to hate me for the rest of your life," Irene said with a firm gaze as she quickly appeared before Reva and was about to grab her when she suddenly noticed something.
The azure icy ethereal energy that was coming out of Damien's palms seemed even thicker than before, and this time the water below his palms immediately began to freeze!
