Rise Online: Return of the Legendary Player
Chapter 912: Department Meeting"Nathan, you almost scared me to death," said Klaus, then laughed. "But I admit it was a good prank."
Nathan patted Klaus on the back. "I knew you could use a little fun. You've been too serious lately, man. We need a more relaxed Klaus."
Klaus sighed, picking up his cell phone and checking his messages. "I know, I know. It's just that things have been a bit complicated lately, both at college and in the game."
Nathan sat down on Klaus' bed, nodding understandingly. "I see. But seriously now, what are you going to do today? You mentioned a department meeting earlier, right?"
Klaus nodded, getting out of bed and putting his books back in his backpack. "Yes, we have a department meeting later. Until then, I need to study a bit more and prepare for tomorrow's class. I think I can fit in some time for the game, too."
Nathan stood up, stretching out his arms. "Good luck with that. I'm going down to meet the guys. If you need anything, you know where to find me."
Klaus thanked Nathan and said goodbye, watching him leave the room with light steps. After a brief moment of silence, he took a deep breath, trying to refocus on his studies. The text of the book seemed to dance before his eyes, and he had to make an effort to absorb the content. As he read, his mind occasionally wandered to recent events in the world of Rise Online.
The responsibility he carried was great, but Klaus knew that with determination and the support of his friends, he could face any challenge.
After an hour of intense study, Klaus decided to take a break. He got up from his chair, stretched and felt his tense muscles relax. He walked over to the window and opened it, allowing the cool afternoon breeze to enter the room.
"Looks like it's going to be a nice weather day today."Klaus took a deep breath, enjoying the cool breeze that flowed through the room. The soft afternoon light gave the furniture a golden hue, and he allowed himself a moment of contemplation before returning to reality. The day still had a lot to offer, and he knew he had to be prepared for whatever came.
He closed the window and picked up his books, a leather-bound volume full of notes and colored markers. He decided that a cup of coffee would be the impetus he needed to continue studying. He went downstairs, feeling the soft texture of the carpet under his feet, and went straight to the kitchen, where he found Maria, the dormitory maid, preparing food.
"Good morning, Maria," said Klaus, with a smile. "I'm going to make some coffee, would you like some?"
Maria, a middle-aged woman with kind eyes, smiled back. "Good morning, Klaus. I'll have a coffee, yes. I need some energy to continue my work."
Klaus prepared two coffees, pouring them into large mugs. Meanwhile, Maria continued to cut vegetables skillfully. "How are your studies going?" she asked, without looking away from the cutting board.
"They're pretty intense," Klaus replied, handing Maria one of the mugs. "And I still have the department meeting later. Isabella Nairn wants to discuss some new strategies for the next tournament."
Maria nodded. "She's an excellent coordinator. I'm sure you'll do very well."
Klaus walked around the campus, appreciating the imposing architecture of the buildings mixed with modern constructions. The sound of student chatter, laughter and hurried footsteps created a vibrant soundtrack that he loved. He greeted a few colleagues along the way and exchanged a few quick words with acquaintances.
Arriving at the archery department hanger, Klaus climbed the stairs every two steps, eager for the meeting. He found the meeting room already partially full, with some of the best archers on campus arguing animatedly. Isabella Nairn, the department coordinator, was at the front, adjusting some papers on the table.
Isabella was a woman of striking presence, with brown hair tied up in an elegant bun and blue eyes that radiated confidence and authority. She wore a brown leather jacket and black pants, a look that perfectly matched her determined stance.
"Klaus, I'm glad you're here," she said, beckoning him closer. "We're almost ready to start."
Klaus nodded and found a seat around the large oval table. He sat down next to Andrew.
"Did you manage to rest?" Nathan asked, smiling.
"A little." Klaus replied, smiling back. "Let's see what Isabella has for us today."
Isabella waited until everyone was seated and silent before she began to speak. "Good afternoon, everyone. Thank you for coming. Today, we're going to discuss some important strategies for the upcoming tournament. We also have some news about the department's new policies and the resources we'll have at our disposal."
She paused, scanning the attentive faces in front of her.
"First, I want to talk about the importance of being well prepared physically and mentally. The upcoming tournament is one of the most challenging, and we need to be at our best."
Isabella began to play slides on a projector, showing graphs and statistics about the team's past performance.
"We're doing well, but there are areas where we can improve. I need everyone to focus on improving their shooting techniques and physical endurance."
As she spoke, Klaus took meticulous notes. He knew that every detail could make a difference in the tournament. After the initial presentation, Isabella opened the floor to questions and discussion.
"Klaus," she called out, "do you have any strategies in mind that you'd like to share?"
Klaus stood up, feeling his colleagues' gazes on him. "I think we can improve our coordination as a team. Instead of focusing only on individual skills, we should train more together, developing signals and strategies for mutual support. This could give us a significant advantage."
Isabella smiled, satisfied. "Excellent point. We'll implement more team training from next week. Does anyone else have anything to add?"
The discussion continued for another hour, with various members of the department contributing ideas and suggestions. Klaus felt energized by the collaboration and the sense of camaraderie that permeated the room. When the meeting finally ended, Isabella dismissed them with a final word of encouragement.
"You're doing a great job. Stay focused and determined, and I'm sure we'll achieve great results."
