Senior Sister, Shut Up!

Chapter 146: Is Your Game Even Legal?

Before heading to Senior Sister’s home, Jiang Miao had entertained various guesses about what she needed from him.

For example, maybe she had drawn a new female lead illustration and wanted a kiss as a reward;

For example, maybe she had run into some trouble and needed to curl up in his arms to vent and seek comfort;

For example, maybe she missed the experience of sleeping together and wanted to pull him onto her bed for a nap.

But when Jiang Miao saw Senior Sister take out an outfit from her wardrobe, he had an epiphany.

Was this another outfit she had bought as a reference for her art, so she wanted him to help with photos, just like on his birthday?

His anticipation grew.

He still had a vivid impression of the sexy JK uniform she had worn.

Usually, when he saw Su Huaizhou in school, it was hard to imagine that such a gentle and polite girl would secretly wear such sexy clothes in private.

And this side of Senior Sister belonged exclusively to Jiang Miao.

Every time he thought of this, an indescribable warmth would surge through his heart.

But the next moment, Su Huaizhou shook the fancy outfit, held the collar, and placed it in front of Jiang Miao, measuring it against him.

She seemed to be checking if it would fit.

He instinctively took half a step back, his gaze hesitant and suspicious. “Senior Sister… what are you doing?”

“Of course, I need you to wear it,” Su Huaizhou said matter-of-factly.

“Wait!” Jiang Miao shouted, raising his hand to stop her. He examined the strange outfit—a mix of hanfu and a qipao, unsure how to classify it. He felt a bit at a loss. “Senior Sister, why do you want me to wear this?”

“To be my model, of course.” Su Huaizhou grinned triumphantly and grabbed his wrist to prevent him from escaping. “I recently accepted a commission for a male character and need material!”

“You can find similar pictures online for that!” He struggled slightly, but she hugged his arm, preventing him from moving.

“It’s not the same!” Su Huaizhou protested. “Seeing it in person is way more useful than looking at pictures online! Otherwise, I wouldn’t have bothered buying outfits and wearing them myself.”

“But this outfit is way too revealing!” Jiang Miao protested, pointing at this pseudo-traditional attire that exposed large sections of the left waist and right thigh.

“It’s just the style of the game. I specially borrowed the official cosplay costume from them.” Su Huaizhou pouted, holding onto him tightly. “You promised you’d help me.”

Jiang Miao: “…”

Compared to the usual playful antics of most girls, when the usually composed Su Huaizhou acted coquettishly, it was far more formidable.

Jiang Miao usually felt embarrassed and put off when hearing female streamers use sweet, coy voices online. But when Senior Sister’s soft pleading reached his ears, his body instantly melted.

He found himself momentarily speechless.

Thinking his silence meant refusal, Su Huaizhou hesitated before deciding to go all out. She gritted his teeth and proposed, “If you want material in the future, I can change into outfits for you too.”

“Really?!” Jiang Miao perked up immediately.

“But nothing too revealing!” She looked at his eager eyes and immediately became vigilant.

“Ahem… What about black stockings…” He rubbed his hands and asked carefully in a negotiating tone, “They shouldn’t count as too revealing, right?”

“N-no…” Su Huaizhou’s eyes shifted away nervously, but deep down, she felt a flicker of anticipation.

“White stockings?”

“Mm…”

“Fishnet stockings?”

“Don’t go too far!” She became embarrassed and slapped him on the back. “What are you thinking about all day long?! Pervert!”

Jiang Miao cried out in exaggerated pain. “It’s human instinct to pursue beauty!”

“I think it’s the instinct of a pervert!” Su Huaizhou harrumphed coldly.

“No way!” Jiang Miao argued, “Perverts lust after every pretty girl, but I only have eyes for you, Senior Sister. This just means I’m devoted.”

“Heh.” She couldn’t out-argue him, so she could only sneer. Then she grabbed him, pulled him to the guest room, and threw the cosplay costume at him. “Get changed. Once you’re done, I need to get my material.”

Pushed into the guest room, Jiang Miao looked down at the outfit in his hands. Seeing the cuts and ribbons on it, he was silent for a moment before letting out a resigned sigh. “… Fine.”

Su Huaizhou beamed with joy, stood on her tiptoes, and kissed him on the cheek as a reward. Then she fully pushed him into the guest room and closed the door.

Jiang Miao came out five minutes later.

Changing clothes didn’t normally take that long.

But first, this was his first time wearing such a revealing outfit, so he felt a bit embarrassed.

Second, the costume was more traditional in style, and for someone like Jiang Miao, who found even tying his shoes a hassle, the outfit’s complexity was a bit overwhelming.

But the moment he came out, Su Huaizhou, who had been sitting on the couch and waiting, instantly lit up with bright eyes.

It was as though she had seen a starry sky at night.

This cosplay costume was dark green and etched with golden patterns, resembling the ancient outfits seen in martial arts movies.

But this outfit wasn’t tightly wrapped.

The fabric below his collarbone was cut into horizontal slashes, exposing a small patch of skin above his chest.

The left waist and right thigh were even more revealing, with large sections of fabric cut out. Combined with how tight the outfit was, it made Jiang Miao seem unexpectedly alluring.

However, this allure wasn’t gentle or seductive. It was more like the way girls might view a guy’s sex appeal.

For example, a man wearing a white shirt with three or four buttons undone, revealing just a hint of his collarbone.

Or when a man lifted his jersey to wipe the sweat off his face after a basketball game, and his abs were barely visible.

This was the feeling that Jiang Miao gave Su Huaizhou now.

Not only was he handsome, but this outfit added a rare, almost irresistible allure that made girls gulp with desire.

Sitting on the couch, she stared at him without blinking. Her hands pressed against the couch between her legs, and her body leaned forward like a female leopard ready to pounce.

Being stared at so blatantly, Jiang Miao froze the moment he stepped out the door.

Wearing this kind of cosplay outfit for the first time, he felt at a loss and could only clear his throat twice to ease the awkwardness. His hands tugged at the hem of the outfit to smooth out the wrinkles, subconsciously covering his exposed side waist.

“Senior Sister… aren’t you going to get material?”

“I’m getting it now,” Su Huaizhou replied, her gaze still fixed on him, her eyes glowing as though she wanted to devour him.

She stood up from the couch and walked over to Jiang Miao. As though a life-sized figurine she had custom-ordered had just arrived, she touched him here and pinched him there.

Finally, with a satisfied sigh, her right hand unknowingly slid to where the fabric was missing from his side waist.

“Senior Sister!” Jiang Miao quickly held down her wandering hand.

“It’s just for material. Don’t move.” Su Huaizhou pressed his hand down while her left hand slipped into the opening near his collarbone.

“… Are you sure this is really for material?”

“Absolutely!” Su Huaizhou nodded vigorously. After feeling satisfied, she spun around and dashed into her bedroom to grab her tablet. Then she took Jiang Miao’s hand and led him back to the couch.

“Stand still. I need to continue gathering material.”

She sat on the couch, crossed her legs, and placed the tablet on her lap. She opened her drawing software and began making adjustments to the rough draft of the character design she had created earlier.

Perhaps because she had often used her own body and features as references when she drew in high school, most of the anime characters she created tended to resemble real people more closely. She wasn’t really adept at the chibi style.

This was also why she wasn’t as skilled at drawing male characters.

After all, she could model female characters after herself, but who could she use as a reference for male ones?

It used to be a problem, but now that she had a boyfriend, it was no longer an issue.

Especially since Jiang Miao’s appearance was so outstanding, wouldn’t it be a waste not to make good use of him?!

If not for the lack of standout male characters in her past works, which limited her to commissions from obscure dating sim games, Su Huaizhou would gladly take on more jobs just to get Jiang Miao into more outfits for her to see.

It reminded her of the dress-up games she used to play on the computer when she was younger. They were similar to what she was doing now.

Only back then, it was a digital doll on the screen, and now, she was now playing with her Junior Brother, her boyfriend.

This inspired her, and she directed Jiang Miao into a series of poses. Her gaze traced the lines of his body and moved from him to the stylus in her hand.

The character on her tablet gradually began to take shape, becoming more detailed with every stroke.

“Senior Sister, which game is this for?” Jiang Miao asked curiously while holding a pose according to Su Huaizhou’s request.

“Uhh…” She paused for a moment, then remembered the name of the game and hesitated. “It’s just a small indie game, nothing big.”

“In any case, they’re using my likeness for it,” Jiang Miao said. “I’ll check it out later and see if it’s any good.”

“No! Don’t! You can’t play this game!” Su Huaizhou sounded a little anxious.

Jiang Miao: “???”

“Senior Sister… you didn’t take on the artwork for some weird game, did you?” He looked at the outfit he was wearing, which had numerous revealing holes and slits, and immediately became suspicious. “Is that game even legal?”

“What are you thinking?!” Su Huaizhou became even more flustered and angrily tossed her tablet onto the couch. “It’s a legitimate game!”

“A legitimate game from abroad?” Jiang Miao asked, still doubtful, enunciating the word ‘legitimate’ with emphasis.

“No!” She waved her hands frantically, then explained, “The devs are a company from abroad, but they’re publishing it domestically. It’s a romance game, you know, the kind where you date and interact with characters.”

“A dating and interaction game?” His expression became strange. “The kind where you get a few options and control the story’s progress?”

“You’ve played one?” Su Huaizhou suddenly became alert.

“No.” Jiang Miao shook his head quickly. “I’ve just heard others talk about them.”

“Hmph.” Su Huaizhou clearly didn’t believe him but didn’t bother calling him out. “Hurry up with the next pose. Stop dawdling.”

“You still haven’t told me the name of the game.”

“You’re not going to play it, so stop asking!”

“Is it one of those games for girls? The player controls a female perspective and tries to capture male characters?”

“Don’t ask so many questions. Just focus.”

“Senior Sister, since you’re using me as a reference and drawing the male characters based on me, won’t you get jealous when other girls try to capture them?”

“Well, you get material from me and write it into your novel. Do you get jealous when the readers call the female lead wife?”

“I won’t get jealous about that.” Jiang Miao chuckled, then suddenly thought of something and added, “But every time they say that, I really want to show you off to them.”

“What’s there to show off?” Su Huaizhou rolled her eyes at him, finding him childish.

“How is there not?” He said earnestly, “There are several readers in the group who keep going on and on about how I’m a single dog, and that’s why I can write so well.

“Especially that Qiuqiu’s Licking Dog, he’s always the loudest.

“Senior Sister, you’ll vouch for me, right? I’ll go slap his face.”

Upon hearing this, Su Huaizhou struggled to hold back her laughter and lightly kicked him. “I’m not as bored as you.”

By around seven in the evening, Su Huaizhou had finished gathering her material.

She took a bunch of photos of Jiang Miao and told him that she still needed more material in the future, but for now, she finally let him go.

However, neither of them was in a hurry to return to school. After he changed back into his clothes, they both went to the guest room.

One started writing, while the other sat on the bed drawing.

Once they settled in, both of them focused on their own work, not disturbing each other.

For some reason, Jiang Miao’s writing efficiency tonight was unusually high. In just an hour and a half, he finished writing the 3,000 words for the day.

After uploading the chapters to the dashboard, adding the titles, and writing the Author’s Notes, he double-checked everything and clicked Send.

Su Huaizhou immediately received a notification about the new update.

She picked up her phone and glanced at it in surprise. “Peach Jam is so fast today.”

“Of course. Why don’t you take a look at who it is?” Jiang Miao said smugly.

“Then how about writing another chapter?” Su Huaizhou said with a smile. “It’s still early.”

Jiang Miao: “???”

“Any more tonight is impossible. Three thousand words a day has already drained all my inspiration.”

“Then when are you going to finish the twenty-one chapters you still owe the silver big shot?”

“I will. I will.”

“It’s only eight-thirty. Try to write another chapter before ten.”

“No way.” Jiang Miao shook his head repeatedly, then flopped onto the bed like a lazy fish. “I’ve exhausted my inspiration. I need to sleep to replenish it.”

“Get up.” Su Huaizhou patted him, irritated. “Learn from the big shots who write ten thousand words a day.”

“That’s not something you can just learn because you want to.” He turned to face Senior Sister sitting beside him, his eyes flickering mischievously. “Unless there’s a way to quickly replenish my inspiration, I won’t be able to do it.”

“How would you do that?”

“Ahem…” Jiang Miao cleared his throat, sat up on the bed, and moved behind Su Huaizhou. His hands wrapped around her slender waist as he whispered in her ear, “Senior Sister, you promised me earlier that if I wanted material, you’d agree. Does it still count?”

“W-what do you want to do?” She felt a tickle in her ear, and her body went limp. Before Jiang Miao could clarify, her mind was already conjuring up all kinds of embarrassing scenarios.

“Senior Sister, do you have hanfu?” he asked expectantly. “Or something similar, like ancient-style clothing.”

“Hmm… I think so.” Su Huaizhou recalled that she had worked on some ancient-style illustrations before and had purchased such clothes. “You want me to wear that? What does it have to do with you gathering material?”

“I need to write a scene for the Qixi Festival, where the male lead buys the female lead hanfu,” Jiang Miao said with utmost seriousness. “But I haven’t seen someone wear hanfu in person, so I need to gather material.”

Su Huaizhou couldn’t refuse. She bit her lip and nodded in agreement.

In reality, she couldn’t wait. “Alright, let me go look. I’m not sure if I can still find any though.”

With that, Su Huaizhou got up and hurried to her bedroom to rummage through her wardrobe.

Anyway, it was just for material, not because she actually wanted to wear it for Junior Brother to see.

She just wanted to see the novel written better!

Everything was for the readers!
