Chapter 705: Chapter 660: Initiating Promotion_2

The ones offering their greetings were Martin and Dante.

It was quite a coincidence—they both emerged victorious on this very day, each becoming Level 4 lords capable of leading independently. This undoubtedly pleased Locke, whose high expectations for them hadn’t been in vain.

Currently, the Endless Spirit Workshop has a total of six Great Workshop Masters.

Among all the Great Workshop Masters, Locke’s tenure controlling one region has been the shortest, and his foundation the most shallow. Compared to the other five masters, he virtually lacks usable personnel, often having no choice but to personally lead teams during missions.

As a result, he has even faced ridicule from certain colleagues.

Martin and Dante, being unique figures stepping up as lords, finally brought a change to Locke’s current predicament.

“Thanks to your tremendous support, Workshop Master, Martin has achieved today’s success. Going forward, I will work with all my might,” Martin solemnly promised after hearing Locke’s words.

“Same goes for me,” Dante echoed.

“I know you are both loyal, but the current situation is a bit grim. That fellow Tosh McDougal mentioned they’re about to bring out the seventh Great Workshop Master over there. Time waits for no one,” Locke nodded slightly, sighing deeply.

Neither Martin nor Dante could quite grasp the meaning behind these words.

“Why am I telling you all this? All you need to do is work harder—harder on carrying out duties and harder on cultivation. Opportunities for your brothers will not be lacking in the future.”

“Understood! We’ll follow your instructions completely,” they responded solemnly.

For the sake of solidifying his position as Master of Workshop Realm, Locke intended to groom them into future Great Workshop Masters as well. But everything was still too early; he wasn’t ready to disclose the entire plan to them just yet.

For now, they needed to prepare step by step according to the established order.

When their leader eventually forms the throne, that will mark the true beginning of the plan. By then, characters like Tosh McDougal, Powell Sink, and Wulei Elliot would all be pushed aside.

Endless Spirit Workshop, Master of Workshop Realm—who else but Locke?

Danaila.

The surface of the world can essentially be divided into two parts: the Mondola Continent and the Dragon Luo Star Sea. The other parts are hardly worth mentioning.

Among the two, the Dragon Luo Star Sea is more significant and can be regarded as the bountiful portion of the world’s surface.

On the Dragon Luo Star Sea, islands are scattered like stars, numbering beyond count, earning the nickname “Longluo Thousand Islands.”

In this vast ocean, its surface has always been under the complete control of the giant lineage. In ancient times, there were giants such as the Subduing Dragon Giant and the Golden Giant, capable of shaking the land and taming dragons. Today, there are the Island Giant, Ridge Giant, and Black Iron Giant, reigning over all.

However, the giants’ dominance is far less absolute than it was in the distant past.

It’s precisely for this reason that other races have had room to develop and thrive, leading to the vibrant yet chaotic landscape of diverse species in Longluo Thousand Islands.

In the entire Dragon Luo Star Sea, the most renowned thing isn’t the giant lineage or any peculiar island but the “Dragon Ancient Ruins” left behind from a cataclysmic war.

Anyone who comes to the Dragon Luo Star Sea dreams of exploring the Dragon Ancient Ruins.

After all, the Dragon Ancient Ruins symbolize an immensely glorious era, retaining certain treasures from the Dragon Ancient Era. Its existence simultaneously serves as a warning to posterity and offers them generous gifts.

“Come take a look! I’ve got loads of items brought out from the Dragon Ancient Ruins. Whether these treasures remain dusty or see the light of day depends entirely on your sharp eyes. Prices are absolutely fair—-”

“Over here! I’ve got Thunder Brilliance Stones retrieved from the Thunder Dragon Emperor’s Nest. After absorbing their power, the thunder you command will naturally carry dragon might. First come, first served!”

“Sir, spare me some element crystals, will you? I haven’t had anything to eat in three months.”

Outside the Dragon Ancient Ruins lies a bustling market, crowded with all sorts of people, enough to leave visiting explorers from faraway lands gaping in amazement.

This place is undoubtedly far too vulgar, entirely out of sync with the aura of ancient mystique conveyed in legends.

“Jenny, this is the Dragon Ancient Bazaar. Many people linger here after exploring the Dragon Ancient Ruins, unwilling to leave. Others hesitate to enter directly, wary of wasting their limited exploration opportunities. Over time, this has grown into a fairly large trading hub.”

“I know.”

“Really? I thought you might not know. Should we stay here and explore a bit more?”

After leaving Truth City, Jenny traveled across most of the Mondola Continent before reaching the Dragon Luo Star Sea.

The Dragon Luo Star Sea is vast beyond imagination, holding dangers far exceeding normal expectations. Fortunately, Jenny isn’t ordinary herself—capable of fighting, fleeing, and hiding when necessary. After years spent wandering and pausing intermittently, she finally reached this legendary final destination over a decade later.

By now, she was accompanied by a “little girl” of burly stature, standing over three meters tall.

The little girl’s name was “Lilian Bader.” A glance was enough to reveal her giant lineage. Witnessing Jenny’s gallant demeanor and sharing the same destination, Lilian had quickly clung to Jenny eagerly.

In truth, Lilian had bodyguards, but they had all perished en route.

“You stay here, I’m heading to the Dragon Ancient Ruins.”

“What! Jenny, you’re leaving me? What am I supposed to do by myself?”

“Don’t try to fool me—I know your new bodyguards have already arrived.”

“Then perfect! I’ll have them protect you instead. Jenny, you saved my life; I can’t repay you properly if you leave.”

“Not necessary.”

Jenny was resolute and didn’t entertain any further remarks. Stepping forward in a flash, she headed deeper toward the Dragon Ancient Ruins.

Lilian, clearly a patient person, scrambled forward in a hurry but couldn’t catch up no matter how she tried. The gap between them only widened.

“Jenny, you finally decided to wait for me—”

Just as Lilian was about to despair, Jenny suddenly stopped in her tracks ahead.

Lilian took large strides forward, only to find a stately, elegant woman standing before them. Jenny was staring at her, expression complicated.

As that woman’s gaze swept over, the words in Lilian’s mouth stuck in her throat, her entire being frozen on the spot.

“Let’s talk,” the woman said gently, her tone warm yet unyielding.

“Alright, Lady Lilabet,” Jenny replied, utterly surprised that the esteemed Dark Night Mother Goddess had chased her from the underground to the surface.

“That’s obedient. The Iron Sky Venerable’s descendant, is she traveling with you?” Dark Night Mother Goddess gave Lilian a cursory glance, asking casually.

“No, we only happened across each other on the way. We’ve just said our goodbyes,” Jenny shook her head.

The two proceeded forward, one behind the other, at a leisurely pace. Lilian didn’t dare follow anymore—she knew the woman was an influential figure, leaving no room for overstepping boundaries.

After standing there for a moment, a squad of bodyguards led by an Ancient King, just as tall as her and extraordinary in form, gathered around her.

On the other side, enveloped by the Dark Night Mother Goddess’s power, the two appeared to have entered another space, entirely separate from the surrounding crowd.

“After exploring the Dragon Ancient Ruins, is your next destination the Star Realm River?”

“That’s the plan.”

“What if I say I don’t agree?”

“I know you don’t fully support it. I’ve been deliberately taking my time getting here.”

“Ha, candid as ever.”

Looking at the person she had meticulously cultivated, the Dark Night Mother Goddess couldn’t bring herself to be harsh. After just a few remarks, her face broke into a smile, but she quickly composed herself.

“What does your sorcerer say about this?” she asked next.

“Sorcerer Ivan said he respects my decision,” Jenny replied truthfully.

“He’s merely an Ancient King. What could he possibly know? His stance is only delaying you,” the Dark Night Mother Goddess frowned.

“Sorcerer Ivan is already working to break into the throne level,” Jenny rebutted.

“Quite confident, aren’t you?”

“I trust Sorcerer Ivan. He’s always been someone who delivers on his promises—he’ll undoubtedly be the first True King Wizard. I’m sure of it.”

Seeing her unwavering conviction, the Dark Night Mother Goddess felt deeply troubled. Had all her efforts in cultivating Jenny been solely for a human sorcerer?

“If that’s the case, how about we make a bet?”
