Chapter 708: Chapter 662: Level 6 Sorcerer

“Quick, quick! Up ahead is the genuine Dragon Ancient Ruins. After traveling for so many days, we’ve finally made it here. Such a shame Jenny elder sister isn’t around.”

“Hey, do you think I should fly to the top of the gates and choose a spot to enter from?”

“Forget it. Asking you is pointless; I’ll figure it out myself.”

In front of the Dragon Ancient Ruins, a small squad approached from afar, escorting a tall girl whose mood seemed less than cheerful as she chattered endlessly along the way.

The others silently kept close to her, accompanying her toward the entrance of the ruins.

“Miss Lilian, please halt for a moment. There’s something unusual over there,” the head guard abruptly warned.

“I see it.” Lilian nodded, her eyes fixed on an unmoving figure high in the distance.

At this moment, noticeable movement emerged from the ethereal gate, as something large began to crawl out from within. Once the figure fully emerged, radiant treasure light burst forth.

The treasure light dazzled brilliantly.

The commotion immediately drew the attention of everyone nearby.

“Ah! It’s Jenny elder sister.”

Lilian focused her gaze, recognizing a familiar figure, though significantly more battered than before—clearly bearing heavy injuries.

What stood out even more was the oversized long-handled hammer hoisted above her, its dimensions dwarfing the person beneath.

From afar, the massive hammer resembled a towering mountain peak, adorned with distinct dragon patterns that looked like coiling, slithering dragons etched into its surface. Treasure light poured freely from the hammer.

“What are you standing around for? Jenny elder sister’s injured and still in danger. Quickly follow me to assist her.”

“Miss Lilian, this may not be wise.”

“Quit the nonsense! Jenny elder sister saved my life. If you won’t go, then I will. Hmph!”

Lilian recognized instantly that the long-handled hammer was no ordinary artifact—it was very likely a relic of the ancient dragon clans. Judging by the commotion it was causing, it wouldn’t be long before those nearby succumbed to their greed.

Being someone who valued loyalty deeply, she hastily moved forward, determined to prevent Jenny elder sister from being bullied.

Seeing her unwavering resolve and headstrong march forward, the guards had no choice but to rush after her.

The person emerging from the gates was indeed Jenny. Having realized the Dragon Ancient Ruins were riddled with peril, she left decisively after acquiring her prize, not even taking the time to refine the treasure in her hands.

The treasure was a long-handled hammer which, the moment it slipped away from its owner’s suppression, began to expand rapidly. Within mere seconds, it swelled to resemble a colossal mountain.

Thankfully, she had managed to bring it out of the ruins intact.

Dragging her injured body out, Jenny could only feebly suppress the hammer for now. But she wasn’t worried about attracting attention—after all, Lilabet was supposed to be waiting outside. Who would dare act recklessly with Lilabet present?

Yet, after truly stepping out into the open, she found herself dumbfounded—Lilabet was nowhere to be found.

In that instant, numerous unfriendly gazes surrounded her.

“Wow, a dragon relic. Its presence speaks volumes of its extraordinary nature.”

“Looks perfectly intact, at least eighty to ninety percent new, and clearly of elementary grade. Luck really is on our side today.”

“Quick—don’t let anyone else snatch it away.”

In the Dragon Ancient Ruins, treasures depended entirely on individual fortune. Once they made their way outside, however, they became fair game—ownership determined by skill and strength. If one couldn’t protect their treasure after obtaining it, they were merely preparing gifts for someone else.

Thus, while the exterior of the Dragon Ancient Ruins appeared tranquil, it was actually roiling with sinister individuals harboring ill intent.

Jenny, appearing severely injured and visibly struggling to control the treasure, only whetted the appetites of those tempted to strike while the iron was hot. As the commotion at the entrance unfolded, people immediately sprang into motion.

Eyeing the encroaching opportunists at varying distances, Jenny furrowed her brows slightly, forcing herself to muster her strength.

The treasure was hers—tied to a wager with Lilabet. Letting it go was out of the question.

For now, her only option was to fight.

“Jenny elder sister, we’re here to help you. Together, we’ll deal with these bad people.”

“Quite the ploy—earning trust first, then striking when close to steal the treasure. Cunning, truly hard to guard against.”

“What are you saying? That’s not true at all!”

“Who knows? Hahaha.”

Among those rapidly advancing on the gate, Lilian, in a bid to rally support for Jenny, shouted towards the crowd. Her voice resounded, but instead of garnering solidarity, it was met with mocking laughter.

Upon hearing this, Lilian became agitated. She promptly commanded her guards to charge at those ridiculing her.

Her opponents, though unperturbed, took the opportunity to stall and gauge their chances of seizing an upper hand.

The two sides clashed immediately without further exchange of words.

Elsewhere, Jenny had no time to concern herself with the ongoing skirmish. She was rapidly descending to the ground below. As someone adept at wielding the power of the earth, the ground beneath her feet was her greatest ally.

Once she made contact with solid land, her nerves calmed considerably, though the chance to refine the newly acquired hammer still eluded her.

The long-handled hammer slammed onto the ground, producing a thunderous boom as tremors rippled across the earth.

“If you know what’s good for you, step away from my treasure.”

“Greedy fools blinded by gain—if you want my treasure, come and take it.”

Very soon, a group of four menacing individuals approached, their faces twisted with greed as they fixated on the immense long-handled hammer upon the ground. The closer they got, the more extraordinary the artifact appeared.

What greeted them, however, was the earth roiling beneath their feet.

Jenny unleashed her control over the terrain, transforming the area into a nightmarish zone filled with devastating gravity, crushing forces, piercing roots splitting through space, and obscuring clouds of dust.

“Watch out!”

“Scatter!”

“Boom-boom-boom-boom!”

The approaching quartet had anticipated that anyone able to bring a treasure out of the Dragon Ancient Ruins was no ordinary figure. Yet, once Jenny’s attacks erupted, they realized things were far more perilous than expected.
