Stealing Spree

Chapter 2445: I got dibs on you

Half an hour later, Mina and I returned to the living room. The girl's face still had a lingering trace of what had transpired inside her room. Much to my dismay, Yayoi-san was still not back. It's not like I mind waiting for her, but I'm missing her, too.

Of course, I should've followed Mina's suggestion earlier to call her but I didn't. Can I still change my mind?

"Alright, Mina. I'll give her a ring," I said after we settled back on the same couch we were sitting on earlier. The TV was turned on again before taking my phone out of my pocket and dialing Yayoi-san's number.

Mina laughed and teased me, saying, "Finally admitting it, huh? But I'm pretty sure she's okay with it, she's always eager to hear your voice. But Ruki, until when will you keep me locked in your embrace?"

"As long as you'll let me," I whispered back, kissing the top of her head. After that, I heard the click on the other line, followed by Yayoi-san's gentle voice, "Hello, Ruki-dear. Let me guess, you've been waiting for me at the house for some time now. And while you didn't want to disturb me while I was working, you couldn't resist not calling anymore."

"Are you a psychic, Yayoi-san?" I playfully replied.

Likewise, the voice on the other line cheekily replied along with a burst of sweet giggling, "Nope. Mi-chan told me."

Upon saying that, I looked down at the girl leaning against me. I didn't notice it but her phone was already out and she had the chat box opened with her mother.

I wryly smiled at Mina, who only stuck her tongue out at me before hiding her phone back in her pocket.

"I felt like I've just been played by you two," I said with mock exasperation, making Mina and Yayoi-san giggle even harder. "But yeah, I did miss you, Yayoi-san. Should I come to pick you up instead?"

"Oh no. Accompany Mi-chan, I'll be home soon. I'm already at the supermarket."

Yayoi-san's voice was filled with warmth, and I could almost see her smile through the phone.

"Alright, then I'll wait for you outside."

"Ruki-dear, just stay put. Pamper Mi-chan all you want because once I come home, I get dibs on you," Yayoi-san teased, her laughter lighting up the room.

Mina grinned at me, "So, she said. Pamper me more, idiot Ruki."

"Geez, you two really are a pair of mother and daughter. So in sync," I couldn't help but chuckle. "But sure, your wish is my command, little bird."

"Little bird? Did you come up with a new nickname for Mi-chan?"

"Yes, Yayoi-san. And she liked it a lot."

"Who said I liked it?!"

With that exchange, between the three of us, Mina pouted and protested by pinching my arm. But the more she did that, the tighter my hold on her became.

Eventually, Yayoi-san started urging me to keep teasing her daughter instead, making the girl more aggrieved.

Just like this, the next ten minutes of Yayoi-san picking up her groceries and ingredients for lunch were spent with us talking through the phone, teasing her daughter together.

The call ended when she reached the cashier, and Mina was left glaring at me for my shameless teasing.

"It's enough that you two keep teasing me but when you work together like that, it's even worse. Ugh..." Mina complained, her cheeks still flushed from our banter.

"Well, you're so easy to tease, Mina. Can you blame us for that?" I slightly loosened my hold on her as I started appeasing her with pecks on her cheek and the back of her ear.

Mina huffed in annoyance but as always, she gradually melted in my arms. Her pouty expression was endearing, and I couldn't resist kissing her more.

A while later, we heard the sound of Yayoi-san's car stopping outside the house. Mina's eyes lit up as she quickly disentangled herself from my embrace. And together, we walked to the door to help welcome Yayoi-san back and help her carry what she bought from the supermarket.

"Welcome home, Yayoi-san," I greeted her with a smile as she stepped out of the car, her eyes sparkling with joy at the sight of us. She looked absolutely radiant, even under the cloudy sky.

Her attire was really so appealing I almost failed to hold back running up to her and kissing her outside, disregarding what their neighbors might say. She wore a simple summer dress, but it hugged her body in all the right places, showcasing her curves and leaving just enough to the imagination. The way the fabric fluttered even in the slightest breeze was doing me in.

No wonder she always had some suitor in her salon, she's a beauty that could easily capture anyone's attention. Too bad for them, I'm the one who gets to keep her all to myself.

Speaking of which, that guy tried to become a hero for her by having her kidnapped would be getting read the result of his conviction soon.

With all the evidence against him, there's no way he could get out of it. Even with his supposed wealth, no lawyer could justify his actions.

Also, I specifically asked a favor from my father to watch over it -- even though they had already told me that I didn't have to worry way before.

Yayoi-san's smile grew wider when she saw us standing there, her eyes focusing on me. She probably had the same idea but she had more self-restraint than me.

Without waiting for her to ask, I approached the car to carry the heaviest bags while Mina grabbed the rest.

Yayoi-san's eyes sparkled with affection as she watched us.

From the outside, we probably looked like a happy family and I am her son-in-law. Little did they know... I'm the lover of both of them.

Well, there's no need to announce it as it will be bad for their reputation. I just have to make them feel special every time and if there's a chance, take them out on a date, away from the prying eyes of their neighbors.

As we returned inside, Yayoi-san didn't wait for me to drop the grocery bag in the kitchen before she stopped me by holding my shoulder and then leaning in to capture my lips.

As much as I long for her, it's the same for her. Her kiss was filled with longing and desire, her hand caressing the side of my face as we kissed as star-crossed lovers reunited after a long absence. Mina pretended to be oblivious, humming to herself as she continued to the kitchen, unpacking the groceries. But I could see the girl pouting from the corner of my eye. Despite everything, she's surely more expressive when she thinks no one is looking at her.

"I told you, Ruki-dear, I got dibs on you. Mina had her turn. Now, it's my turn," Yayoi-san said with a playful smirk as we continued to the kitchen. She stuck to my back, hugging me from behind just like how I did it with Mina earlier. Her bountiful front was pressing against me, making my lower body twitch involuntarily.
