Stop Hypnotizing Me, Villainous Princess!

Chapter 110: You Must Return to Her Side

Chapter 110: You Must Return to Her Side

If Yveste embodied the possessive allure of a yandere older sister, the Witch was more akin to a cold, untouchable iceberg.

The former exuded fiery aggression and irresistible physical temptation, while the latter's appeal lay more in a profound, spiritual resonance.

Imagine it.

A goddess of peerless beauty, lofty and unapproachable, whose heart had been sealed for 100,000 years. A being so cold and indifferent to the world, yet before you, she softly utters the words, "I am happy."

The sheer contrast of such a moment. The indescribable sense of accomplishment that comes with it.

Damn it.

In that instant, Lynn nearly surrendered entirely.

“……”

Once again, the Witch sensed something was amiss.

A devotee constantly getting aroused by their goddess—what kind of nonsense was this? Had she been too lenient with this fool?

She frowned slightly and gave a small wave of her hand.

A blanket materialized and dropped to the ground.

Blushing furiously, Lynn scrambled to cover himself with the blanket, finally managing to breathe a little easier.

For crying out loud.

All the goodwill he’d just worked so hard to earn was probably ruined now.

But as he settled himself, something about the Witch caught his eye.

The Chains of Order binding her seemed far fewer than before.

If he recalled correctly, there should have been dozens, but now only a few remained—one on each ankle, one around her right wrist, and a final one clasped delicately around her slender neck.

Could this be a ripple effect caused by his interference with fate?

Lynn mulled over the possibility, though the Witch seemed unaware of his thoughts.

After a long silence, she spoke again.

“That Level 0 Sealed Artifact… When you held it, did it never occur to you that you might die?”

It was clear her mind was still lingering on the events of 100,000 years ago.

“And what about you?” Lynn didn’t answer her directly. “When you carried out that mission, didn’t you think you might die as well?”

The Witch’s delicate brows furrowed slightly.

She turned, the hem of her tattered black dress twirling slightly, revealing fleeting glimpses of her pale, slender ankles. Her crimson gaze settled on Lynn.

“It’s not the same. You…”

“It’s exactly the same,” Lynn replied with a smile. “Death is certainly terrifying, but when it’s in pursuit of one’s conviction, even death becomes insignificant.”

For Yveste, winning the Succession Ceremony was a conviction she was willing to die for.

For Lynn, flaunting his superiority was his ultimate creed.

As a transmigrator, he carried a sense of supreme detachment, viewing this world through the lens of an overseer. Changing the destined deaths of certain characters was his way of asserting this superiority.

Before his arrival, these people were doomed. But if they still perished after he came, what was the point of him being here at all?

It was this arrogant mindset that had driven Lynn to leap from the carriage in the first place.

To the Witch, however, his words carried a different meaning.

Conviction? Did he truly have a conviction strong enough to risk his life?

But what could it be? Revenge for his family?

If so, his actions made little sense. He should have returned to the capital with the wealth and connections he had accumulated and quietly built up his power.

A fleeting thought crossed her mind: if it wasn’t hatred, then what drove him? A particular object? Or perhaps… a person?

Unconsciously, an image surfaced in her thoughts.

It was the Third Princess of the Saint Roland Empire—her, from 100,000 years ago.

If she was his conviction, then everything made sense.

“……”

The Witch shook her head lightly, dismissing the thought from her mind.

For reasons she couldn’t explain, the notion left her feeling slightly irritable.

“Tell me,” she said softly after a moment, “what have you been doing during the time I don’t remember?”

As she spoke, she adjusted her worn dress and sat down on the steps again, tucking her delicate feet under the hem.

Even the Witch of the End found it difficult to comprehend how Lynn had accomplished such an impossible feat.

That was, after all, the core of a Level 0 Sealed Artifact—an object that later involved the intervention of two high-dimensional demons.

While such matters were trivial to the Witch, Lynn was merely a First-Rank Extraordinary. No one else in the world could have achieved what he had.

“Oh, well, it went something like this…”

Over the next while, Lynn recounted the events from the moment he awoke to the point of her rescue in vivid detail.

He glossed over the parts that relied on his foreknowledge of the story, knowing that unlike Yveste, the Witch wasn’t likely to press him for specifics.

The details involving the Chair of Torment’s accumulation of pain energy and the use of the Crown of Thorns were also brushed aside with some creative omissions.

Since the system was the source of this ability, explaining it in detail would be nearly impossible.

When Lynn finally finished recounting his tale, silence fell once more.

"That's all?"

The Witch gave him a sidelong glance.

Lynn nodded.

Truthfully, he felt a bit guilty under her gaze, as though she could see right through him. Yet, to his relief, she chose not to probe further, appearing to accept his explanation as it was.

“Next time, don’t pull something like this again,” the Witch said, shifting her gaze away.

Lynn glanced at her and asked, “Are you worried about me?”

“...As my only follower, you are currently the only one capable of assisting me,” she replied, her eyes closing slightly. “And if there is a next time, I won’t save you like I did today.”

The Lie Eater within Lynn’s soul stirred faintly before settling back into calmness.

“Understood,” Lynn lowered his head and replied sincerely.

But her words had sparked a realization in him.

He clenched his fist, his expression tinged with surprise. “You’ve already healed my body?”

At this moment, his skin was flawless, with not a scratch remaining. Even his soul felt exceptionally tranquil and restored, as if he had just awoken from a long, peaceful slumber.

All traces of the Sealed Artifact’s corruption were gone, and there was no sign of the Demon of Creation. Even the deep bite mark Yveste had left on his shoulder had mysteriously healed.

The Witch nodded gently. “I’ve removed all the corruption and curses from your body.”

“However, because you merged with that core trait for so long, I left it within you to avoid damaging your soul.”

Lynn’s expression shifted. “Then...?”

“There’s no need to worry,” the Witch said calmly. “I’ve suppressed it with my power. As long as you don’t actively engage it, it won’t resurface for at least five years.”

Hearing this, Lynn finally let out a breath of relief.

The Witch’s words were credible.

Although keeping such a dangerous thing within him was concerning, he trusted her capabilities.

“What about the Demon of Creation’s soul?” Lynn asked next.

The Witch glanced at him. “I’ve erased it.”

Impressive.

Her tone was so nonchalant, it was as if she were casually mentioning she’d had a piece of strawberry cake for breakfast.

“Additionally,” she continued in her usual composed manner, “you’ve completed all the First-Rank trials I set for you. Now it’s time for you to advance to the Second Rank.”

Second Rank?!

Though it had been less than a month since his first encounter with the Witch of the End, Lynn had already maxed out all his Divine Factors for the First Rank. His progression speed was nothing short of meteoric.

Lynn’s heartbeat quickened.

Strength was essential for him now.

To seek revenge, to eradicate the Mosgra Family entirely, a minimum of Fifth-Rank Legend was required. He still had a long road ahead, but with the Witch and the system by his side, he could gain the most Divine Factors at any rank and fortify them repeatedly, leaving everyone else far behind.

This was Lynn’s greatest advantage.

With this thought in mind, he watched as seven crimson Divine Factors appeared in the Witch’s palm, glowing faintly.

“Six of these are your reward for killing one hundred Extraordinary members of the Divine Order Church. Use them to strengthen your existing Divine Factors,” she said, pushing the glowing orbs into his body. “The seventh will release the Second-Rank barrier for you.”

In an instant, his barren and hollow inner world exploded with unprecedented radiance, bathing everything in crimson light!

Lynn slowly closed his eyes, sitting quietly on the ground as he accepted the Witch's strengthening power.

Ascending from the First to the Second Rank was a fundamental transformation of life itself. It brought comprehensive enhancements to the body, senses, and overall essence. This was not a short process.

The Witch didn’t rush him. Instead, she sat on a distant step, resting her chin on one hand as she silently observed him.

After a while, she let out an almost imperceptible sigh.

With a ripple in space, a slightly worn stone appeared in her hand.

This was something Milanie had given her personally 100,000 years ago.

Its faint glow revealed it to be a Recording Stone, an ancient relic whose age alone should have weathered it into dust countless times over. It could only have survived intact if its owner had cherished it deeply.

The Witch gently activated the stone.

The next second, a blurry projection appeared before her.

It depicted a black-haired youth sitting on the Chair of Torment, his body wracked with constant spasms and tremors. His face twisted in pain, and his lips moved as though murmuring something.

The pain he endured was hellish, akin to being in purgatory. Even she, in her former state, had struggled with that level of agony—an unforgettable torment engraved deep in her memory.

How had that fool managed to persevere? What sort of conviction had driven him?

As the faint words “Witch of the End” slipped repeatedly from his trembling lips, her fingers unconsciously tightened their grip on the stone.

She was well aware that Lynn had lied earlier and concealed much of the truth.

By her nature, she should have felt disgusted by a follower who deceived her.

And yet, as she gazed at the projection she had replayed countless times before...

She didn’t mind.

When Lynn opened his eyes once more, he felt a surge of immense power spreading through him, flowing from the depths of his soul to every fiber of his being.

At this moment, he possessed a total of 10 Divine Factors, 9 of which had been reinforced twice by the Witch herself.

Even though he had just stepped into the Second Rank, the Extraordinary power within him rivaled that of seasoned Second-Rank beings.

And he hadn’t even spent any system points yet.

With the plot deviation for the Witch of the End now at 1.20%, the tenfold reward translated to a staggering 1,000 points!

If he disregarded his body’s endurance limit and exchanged all of them for Divine Factors, he could light up 100 Factors in total!

What’s more, thanks to his Heart of the Scorching Flame Dragon—a god-tier passive ability—his physical constitution would continuously improve, allowing him to integrate and strengthen even more Divine Factors over time.

The future looked incredibly promising.

Buoyed by this realization, Lynn felt his mood lift.

He looked up at the Witch, who remained silent, and said, “Witch, according to your original plan, I was supposed to return to the capital ahead of schedule, alone.”

“Although things have strayed a bit from the original course, the overall direction remains unchanged. Once I leave here, I’ll fake my death and head to Glostein, the imperial capital, as planned.”

But to his surprise, the Witch shook her head.

“No. You cannot fake your death this time,” she replied softly.

“...?”

Lynn froze in confusion.

Noticing his perplexed expression, the Witch slowly stood up, her gaze lifting to the dome of the Pantheon.

“The future... has been altered,” she murmured, raising her hand as if touching the intangible threads of fate itself.

“So this time, you must return to her side.”
