Stop Hypnotizing Me, Villainous Princess!
Chapter 36: This Guy’s Actually Pretty HandsomeChapter 36: This Guy’s Actually Pretty Handsome
“Awesome!”
Seeing the first signed Extraordinary Contract, Greya cheered inwardly.
He glanced at Lynn with admiration, feeling that this guy was simply a genius.
Since the signing of an Extraordinary Contract required genuine consent, Greya couldn’t use the family’s authority to force anyone into it. Once someone signed their name, an invisible restraint would come into effect.
Lynn watched as the dejected bearded man moved aside to wait, his face expressionless. In truth, he was thrilled.

A system notification echoed in his mind.
Meanwhile, those in the distance became restless after seeing the bearded man sign the contract. Some cursed him for betraying his faith, while others schemed with shifting gazes, clearly up to no good.
“Bang!”Lynn fired a shot into the air.
“Quiet. Next.”
His tone was calm yet commanding, leaving no room for argument.
But with the bearded man serving as a precedent, the others hesitated, not daring to step forward.
As the crowd stood indecisively, someone suddenly collapsed among them.
People scattered, leaving an open space in the center.
Lynn rose from his chair, pushing through the crowd to approach the fallen figure.
On the ground lay an elderly woman with white hair, dressed in tattered clothes. Her breathing was weak, and she looked extremely frail.
Is this a scam?
Lynn thought to himself but maintained a concerned expression outwardly. “Are you alright?”
“Young man… I’m sick… very sick,” the old woman murmured weakly. “I need help. Please… let me into the city.”
“Of course. It’s my duty,” Lynn replied seriously, then added, “But before that, I have a question for you.”
“Do you believe in the Goddess?”
“Yes… yes, of course. When I was homeless, the elders of the sect took me in, fed me, and allowed me to hear the Goddess’s gospel without hesitation.”
The old woman’s soft voice revealed her devout faith.
Greya, standing nearby, silently sighed. If this person died here and the incident was exaggerated by malicious individuals, it could damage Her Highness the Princess’s reputation.
They would claim that Yveste forced people to abandon their faith, driving them to death. No one would care about the Creationist Sect’s heinous deeds, such as their human sacrifices. After all, most people in the Saint Roland Empire had never heard of this faith or its atrocities.
Greya felt at a loss.
But Lynn remained composed. “Really? That’s wonderful!”
“In that case, as a devout follower of the Goddess, you must know the contents of Chapter 3, Verse 18 of the scriptures, correct?”
He asked gently.
The old woman hesitated for a moment before shaking her head. “I… I feel so confused and unwell. I can’t remember anything right now…”
“No worries. Let me help you.”
Lynn didn’t seem bothered. “That passage reads: ‘All things live and die by their own rules. Where there is birth, there is death. Do not fear this, for I am with you.’”
“Yes… yes, that’s it,” the old woman said weakly, nodding.
Lynn studied her for a moment. “Do you agree with these words?”
“Of course,” she replied.
Lynn’s expression turned stern. “If that’s so, you must also agree with the next part of the passage.”
He recited slowly and clearly: ‘For some are strong in body, while others are frail with illness. Do not fear this; it is penance and atonement. Only when the body and soul are cleansed of sin will you ascend to my divine kingdom after death.’
The old woman froze, stunned.
“Young man… are you saying…”
“Yes,” Lynn nodded. “Your suffering is the Goddess’s test. Only by enduring it can you atone for your sins and enter her divine kingdom after death.”
“But… I can’t endure it any longer,” the old woman pleaded anxiously. “Could you at least give me some medicine to ease the pain?”
“No!” Lynn’s voice turned icy. “I’ve told you—this is penance you must endure. At this very moment, the Goddess may be watching your perseverance.”
“Using medicine to escape this trial would be heresy, wouldn’t it?”
“Surely you wouldn’t want to anger the Goddess?” Lynn said solemnly.
His words left the old woman speechless, her expression panicked as she fell into silence.
Seeing this, Lynn sighed. “I’m not trying to make things difficult for you. You have two choices before you.”
“The first: abide by the sect’s teachings, endure this trial, and cleanse yourself of sin.”
“The second: follow the example of the previous person. If you want treatment, sign this.”
“I personally recommend the first option.”
Lynn’s expression was calm as he handed the contract to the woman.
Time passed slowly.
Under everyone’s watchful eyes, the old woman finally closed her eyes, her dignity gone.
“I… I’ll sign.”

The surroundings grew quiet again.
After signing the Extraordinary Contract with Greya, the old woman was sent into the city for treatment by one of his coachmen.
Lynn glanced at the crowd’s mixed expressions and smiled.
Then, he casually pointed at someone.
“You. Come here. Let me test how devout your faith really is.”

As contract after contract was signed, Greya’s grin grew uncontrollable.
Meanwhile, two sheriffs in the distance, tasked with maintaining order, exchanged glances after witnessing Lynn’s extraordinary actions.
Once back, they would report everything to their superiors.
Clearly, they weren’t ignorant of the hidden battles in Orne City. In fact, they were executing orders from certain powers.
Initially, everyone had come to watch Her Highness Princess Yveste make a fool of herself.
No one expected an unfamiliar young man to step forward and completely turn the tables.
Even Afia, crouched near the carriage, was stunned.
She had watched Lynn’s every move. His seamless actions and commanding demeanor stirred a strange emotion in her heart.
Though he lacked physical strength, a clever man focused on his work had a charm that was hard to describe.
She couldn’t deny it. This guy was actually pretty handsome.
Afia absentmindedly smoothed the fur on her paws, lost in thought.
