Once Nathan succeeded in summoning his seventh familiar, it was time for him to finish the other problem.
He teleported directly to the Sleeping Garden to discuss it directly with Evelyn and Bella.
“What did you say?” Bella stood up in shock.
“I want to trade this information for my group’s participation in Divine Hand’s extermination.”
“No, before that.” Bella shook her head.
“I have found where the enemies are, specifically where their continent is.”
“…” Evelyn looked at Nathan in shock. He never thought Nathan would find this kind of information that easily.
Evelyn and Bella had been searching for this information everywhere, but there was simply no record of traveling to another continent.
So, they had been in a bind, thinking they could only get this information from the Divine Hand. But it depended on whether they could force Garam Haygaiden to spit out such information. There was a chance Garam chose to die instead of giving that information just to spite them.
Hence, their last resort would be Anubis, but they didn’t know whether they would succeed or not. After all, unlike anyone they had met so far, Garam Haygaiden was a world class summoner.
If Nathan had this information, they didn’t have to worry about it anymore. They just needed a confirmation from Garam, which was easier to get from his reaction.
Evelyn asked, “Do you really have that information?”
“I do.” Nathan nodded. “It’s the information of a familiar who was once summoned on a different continent. Unlike our continent, they were more proactive in finding another continent, so you probably couldn’t find any information like this on this continent.”
“We can simply set sail to the sea…” Evelyn frowned.
“You can do it and reach that land if you are lucky, but according to that familiar, for a world to be habitable, its surface has to be covered mostly by sea to maintain the temperature… aside from the atmosphere, that is.
“In other words, you have to set sail in one direction, not knowing whether you can find it or not. If you somehow get lost in the sea, you probably won’t have the chance to return here,” explained Nathan. “And I’m not scaring you.”
Even on Earth, which was already technologically advanced, crossing the sea was still extremely dangerous. Of course, they had the route, which was usually used by trading ships.
However, no one dared to venture to the vast Pacific Ocean because they might lose their way and die there.
If a storm hit them, carrying them away from their original route, they wouldn’t know because there was no landmark on the sea. That was why this information was crucial.
They could travel by using a compass and stellar guidance.
Lilith might be able to find the location, but no one here had a better skill at reading the stars than Mae.
So Evelyn had no choice but to agree with his condition.
Evelyn closed her eyes for a moment before asking, “If I ask you as a member of Sleeping Garden instead of their man, do you think I should accept this deal?”
“!!!” Bella was quite surprised since it didn’t take too long for Evelyn to agree. Nathan’s answer was obvious, so this meant Evelyn had opened up to Nathan.
As expected, Nathan nodded his head. “Yes. It’s necessary. I’m planning to head to this continent as well, so I’ll be accompanying all of you.
“However, the girls will only work together with us to crush the Divine Hands. They will remain here on this continent.”
Evelyn looked surprised. The reason she asked that question was simply because she believed Nathan would ask her to agree to bring them to another continent. Protecting them would be hard in an unfamiliar land after all.
“You’re not going to bring them?”
Nathan shook his head.
“…” Evelyn seemed to have misunderstood Nathan. While it was true Nathan did everything he could for his women, he still maintained his rationality and made a decision that would guarantee the mission’s success.
“I see…” Evelyn let out a long sigh.
“Besides, receiving their help against the Divine Hand will be good. While we know that the Divine Hand’s officers are still hiding among the people, we don’t know the current state of the Divine Hand.
“What if they have more officers? If we can have additional hands to help us to deal with them, the Sleeping Garden will have a higher chance of defeating the Divine Hand.
“At the very least, I want the captain to focus on their leader.”
Evelyn waved her hand as if telling him to stop. “I understand, so I will accept your request.”
“Ah! Thank you.” Nathan smiled. Still, this topic was an easy one. The other topic was slightly more difficult, considering Nathan had nothing for this negotiation.
Nathan took a deep breath. “Actually, I have one more request.”
Evelyn squinted her eyes while Bella asked, “Do you want the Sleeping Garden’s help?”
“It’s more like a personal request to the captain.”
“What do you want from me?” Evelyn crossed her arms.
“I want you to teach me.”
“!!!” Evelyn widened her eyes as if she felt displeased. “Do you say that knowing full well I will get angry? You know that you have a teacher, right? Vivian is my junior. Do you think I will just accept you? I don’t plan to steal my junior’s student even if that student requests me personally.”
“I don’t plan to become your student.” Nathan shook his head. He raised his hand, forming a magic circle.
“!!!” Bella rose from her seat. “What are you doing, Nathan?”
Evelyn waved her hand as if she noticed Nathan didn’t mean any harm. It was at this time Evelyn felt the slight change in her body.
“That’s enough.” Evelyn clutched her hand, the ena from her hand destroying Nathan’s magic circle. “Time element, huh?”
“Huh?!” Bella looked confused, not knowing when Nathan had such a thing. She remembered Evelyn telling her about the absolute ice element, but not the time element.
Nathan nodded. With a solemn face, he lowered his head. “Someone with a rare element is better at teaching someone who has the same condition. I have asked my teacher about it and have gotten her approval. Please teach me about magic.”
