SUPREME ARCH-MAGUS

Chapter 713 - 713: Take a bloody Oath!

The divine atmosphere at the Milk Sea was heavy with tension. The protests erupted again.

The women of the god races united again, their defiance a stark contrast to the celestial beauty of the gathering.

The heated arguments from moments ago still echoed, and the wives of the gods, led by the wife of the Space God, were determined to make Kent take an irrevocable vow.

Even thou Kent announced that he won’t accept godhood the women didn’t believe him.

Especially the wives of demigods reignited the crowd.

The space god wife stood face to face with Kent and asked,

“You stand here with grand promises, Kent. But who knows what the future holds? Words are fleeting, and gods—especially men—are prone to changing their minds when ambition takes hold. If you are so certain of your resolution, then take an oath before the entire gathering. Swear that you will never seek godhood again, no matter the circumstance.”

The crowd murmured in agreement, emboldened by her challenge. Several lower god race women stepped forward, their voices echoing in the tense air.

“She’s right! If he’s so confident in his decision, let him bind himself with an oath!”

“This isn’t just about today,” another chimed in. “We cannot allow a loose thread to unravel our peace in the future.”

The War God’s face darkened. He stepped forward, his imposing figure radiating authority. “This is outrageous! You question a man who has done nothing but show integrity and strength! Do you not see the absurdity of making someone swear to a decision they’ve already made?”

The wife of the Music God interjected, her voice calm but firm. “Perhaps this is going too far. Demanding an oath over a decision he has already declared is an affront to his dignity.”

But the wife of the Space God refused to yield. “Dignity is a small price to pay when the balance of the spirit world is at stake. If his words are true, then swearing an oath will cost him nothing.”

The verbal battle intensified as more voices joined the fray. The Storm God’s booming voice cut through the chaos. “Enough! Are you not ashamed to turn this divine gathering into a marketplace of baseless accusations? The honor of Kent is unquestionable!”

Still, the opposition grew. The wives of the gods argued fervently, accusing the demi-gods of prioritizing Kent’s personal honor over the potential chaos his future decisions could bring.

The gathering began to fracture, with more women from lower god races siding with the wife of the Space God.

Amidst the clamor, a cold, sharp voice silenced the crowd. “I stand with the women.”

All eyes turned toward the Poison God, who had remained a silent observer until now. His entrance into the fray sent shockwaves through the gathering. Known for his cunning and unpredictable nature, his support for the women stunned even the War God.

“You?” The War God’s voice was laced with disbelief. “What game are you playing, Poison God?”

The Poison God’s cold gaze never left Kent. “No game. I merely believe in accountability. Kent is no ordinary mortal. He has surpassed expectations in ways even gods have failed to anticipate. That alone makes him dangerous.”

Kent met the Poison God’s gaze with a calm smile. He knew the Poison God’s true intentions. The knowledge of the Poison Tome’s creator, now flowing through Kent’s veins, was what the Poison God truly sought. His support for the women was nothing but a calculated move to weaken Kent’s position.

The Poison God’s voice rang out again, sharp and commanding. “Swear the oath, Kent. If you have truly given up the path of godhood, prove it.”

The War God’s patience finally snapped. His eight arms spread wide as he bellowed, “Enough of this farce! You overstep your bounds, Poison God! This is not a trial but a coronation! Your petty schemes will not sully this gathering!”

But the Poison God’s calm smile only deepened. “Schemes? I simply seek clarity. If the boy has no ambitions, then he should have no trouble swearing an oath. Or are you afraid of what that might mean, War God?”

The gathering grew silent, the air thick with tension. All eyes turned to Kent, who floated slightly above the central platform, his figure bathed in soft golden light. His expression remained unreadable, but his voice carried the weight of a thousand

“My name is Kent Clark,” he began, his voice steady and resonant. “A name that has traveled across realms, carrying with it stories of triumph and loss. I have walked paths that many fear to tread, faced challenges that even gods have hesitated to confront.”

He paused, letting his words sink in.

“I have made my decision. I will not accept godhood in this life, not as a demi-god. But since doubt remains in your hearts, I will give you the assurance you seek.”

Kent raised his hand, and the skies above the Milk Sea shimmered. A golden light enveloped him as he spoke his oath. “I, Kent, swear on my Dao heart, the spirits, and the universe itself that I will never seek position of demigod in this life. Let this promise be bound by the laws of nature and the will of creation. Should I break this oath, let my name be erased from existence.”

As the final word left his lips, a blinding light erupted from the heavens. A golden thread of energy descended, wrapping around Kent like a seal. The crowd watched in stunned silence as the binding oath took form, its glow fading slowly into the ether.

The Lust Goddess, standing at the edge of the throne, watched with a mix of awe and sorrow. Kent’s resolve moved her, but it also signified a parting of their paths.

The War God clenched his fists, his plans spoiled before his eyes. The Poison God’s cold smile faded, replaced by a calculating stare. He had underestimated Kent’s determination, and it frustrated him to no end.

The gathering was silent, the weight of Kent’s words and actions hanging heavy in the air. The women, led by the wife of the Space God, exchanged uncertain glances. Their goal had been achieved, but the cost of Kent’s declaration left them with an unease they couldn’t shake.

Kent descended slowly, his feet touching the platform. He turned to the War God, his expression unreadable. “Carry on with the coronation of Lust goddess.”

The War God’s voice was a low growl. “This was not how I envisioned this day. But your resolve… I cannot deny it.”

Kent offered a small, enigmatic smile. “Sometimes, plans must change. My path is already chosen. I came here only for lust goddess.”

No words came from the mouth of war god. He stared at Kent with hopeless look. Now, the fate and future of war god lies in Kent hands.

Meanwhile Kent turned towards the space his life and asked, “Are you satisfied?”

The lady felt perplexed as she stared directly into Kent’s eyes.

“So handsome… You…!!!”
