Chapter 1675: Chapter 1533: Infiltrating the Alliance Barracks

Stronger than the Dark King?
The Dark King Shang can be said to be the strongest creature Chu Mu has ever seen, and the sight of it alone contending with many human leaders above the Struggle Capital’s sky is still freshly etched in Chu Mu’s memory!
In Chu Mu’s view, not even the most powerful force in the World could match that.
Yet, how could the Dark King Shang have sensed a presence more powerful than itself??
Chu Mu found it hard to imagine what creature could be more powerful than the Dark King Shang. Could it be a being from the Millennium Era?
Why would a creature more powerful than the Dark King Shang appear in the Southern Forbidden Region, and flatten the entire Nightmare Demon Mountain Range of the Southern Forbidden Region? It was terrifyingly unbelievable!
“We should stop probing further,” said Yu Suo, looking at Chu Mu.
The Dark King’s power is nearly insurmountable now, and even if Chu Mu and Yu Suo joined forces, they might not be able to withstand a full-powered blow from the Dark King. If they encountered a creature stronger than the Dark King in the Southern Forbidden Region, they would surely be instantaneously obliterated.
Yu Suo certainly didn’t want to gamble with her precious life.
Chu Mu really wanted to know what happened to the entire Nightmare Demon World Dynasty of the Southern Forbidden Region.
Chu Mu had a deep friendship with those Nightmare Demons from the Southern Forbidden Region; if they were annihilated just like that, it would be too horrifying.
Chu Mu did not continue to delve deeper. Indeed, rashly venturing into a domain where his own strength was inadequate would only pose a threat to his life.
“It might be a Black Nightmare Demon,” Yu Suo said to Chu Mu on the way back.
“Yeah, the evil aura is dense,” Chu Mu nodded in agreement.
In this world, only Black Nightmare Demons could create such a dense evil aura.
The Land of Order itself is the territory of the Nightmare Demons, and the Nightmare Demon Clan has always been one of the most significant races in this World, alongside the Five Great Races and the vast human race.
Although Chu Mu himself had never ventured deeper into the Land of Order, he knew that there must be extremely evil and dark Black Nightmare Demons in existence there!
The racial hierarchy of the Black Nightmare Demons is quite high, surpassing that of the Netherworld and Huangquan. Once a Black Nightmare Demon appears in the Land of Order, it is undoubtedly of a completely dominating class.
…
With these doubts and fears in mind, Chu Mu returned to the East Madness Forest Fortress City.
Being unable to summon the Nightmare Demon Legion from the Southern Forbidden Region was a regret, and Chu Mu was now constantly thinking about how to make the Dark King Shang take action.
How strong the Dark King Shang is, probably everyone in the Struggle Capital is clear about it. If it takes action, what can the ten thousand strong Dominator Army really do to it?
To know that the initial Punishment Hall’s ten thousand experts were nearly halved by the Dark King Shang, that was the heaviest loss the Divine Sect suffered in many years.
“Its strength still needs to recover gradually. If you have enough Dark Attribute Soul Crystals and Soul Cores, it might be willing to make a move,” suggested Yu Suo, as she stroked the Dark King Shang’s supple fur.
“This guy is even more unruly than you,” Chu Mu picked up the Dark King Shang from Yu Suo’s embrace.
The Dark King Shang has always been lethargic, even more so than Mo Ye, capable of dozing off at any time. When Chu Mu picked it up, it only gave Chu Mu a contemptuous look, completely indifferent.
The Dark King Shang now is somewhat of a Soul Pet to Chu Mu, but this fellow is really disobedient, doing nothing but lying in the soft embrace of Yu Suo’s bosom every day, as if it had never done anything else.
“How much dark energy does this guy need before it’s willing to take action?” Chu Mu asked.
“Probably an Intermediate Undying grade Soul Crystal,” Yu Suo speculated.
“…”
Others use them to forge Intermediate Undying grade immortal objects, yet this fellow treats it merely as a meal – who can afford such extravagance?
“What if I throw it into a place with a thick dark aura? Would that count as feeding it?” Chu Mu suggested.
“That should work. Have you found such a place?” Yu Suo inquired.
“Yeah, the Evil Temple of the Nightmare Demon Sacred Realm. It should like it there.”
Unable to garner support from the Southern Forbidden Region, Chu Mu had to figure out a way to get the Dark King Shang to act.
The Divine Sect and the people of Struggle Capital were surely issuing a warrant for the Dark King Shang, who nearly destroyed the City in the past. Chu Mu did not dare to let it face threats on its own, but just getting the creature to hide somewhere far and secretly unleash a few skills could inflict substantial damage on the Alliance Crusade Legion.
“We’re a bit close to the East Madness Forest Fortress battlefield here; should we go take a look?” Yu Suo suggested.
Just beyond this vast forest, they would approach the Western borders of the Cloud Realm, where almost all Legion Forces were stationed. That area was nearly completely sealed off by the Legions’ sentry posts, and even the spies from the New Moon Land couldn’t sneak in to gather intelligence.
“`
What Yu Suo referred to as having a look naturally meant infiltrating the enemy’s massive army.
Chu Mu glanced at the Dark King Shang who continued to sleep on his other shoulder and pondered whether to simply toss this guy directly into the midst of the Alliance Expeditionary Force?
Yu Suo seemed to have seen through Chu Mu’s intentions, her pink lips slightly curled up in a smile: “It might just work.”
…
The two altered their flight path, heading straight for the Basin in the Cloud Realm where the Alliance Crusade Legion was stationed.
Before they fully entered the legion’s stationed area, Yu Suo and Chu Mu discovered many soul pet trainers patrolling in the sky and on land.
As they flew deeper, they saw clusters of troops stationed in small basins, these legions were nothing more than small forces holding the mentality of settling for scraps while others feasted.
Considering these small forces individually, New Moon Land truly did not need to take them seriously, but a large grouping of them together could still cause significant trouble for New Moon Land.
Chu Mu and Yu Suo waited until nightfall before they passed through these small forces’ stationed locations and entered the stationed basin of the Alliance.
Standing on high ground and looking forward, Chu Mu saw the basin brightly lit, appearing to be a city stretching endlessly.
Countless tents, lights, temporary sentry posts, soul pet squadrons whizzing across the sky in formation, and patrols rushing down the roads between tents on the ground, all made for busy traffic; occasionally, a large group within the basin would move in a certain direction, their reasons for redeployment or concealment unknown.
At a glance, without an end to the sea of tents in sight, the tiny troops like ants and the stars of lights spread across this vast basin, forming a giant Earth Painting, spectacular and majestic!
If such an army were to surge into New Moon Land, New Moon Land would undoubtedly be leveled to the ground!!
Chu Mu’s current strength had already surpassed that of many Sect Leader Level figures, yet there were still many who had reached this realm in the Human Domain, however, true Sect Leader Level figures wielded such suffocating legion forces, enough to squander their desires on this land of humans at will!
Looking at this scene, it took Chu Mu a long time to come back to his senses.
…
“Here, take this.” Yu Suo left for a moment, then returned to Chu Mu’s side, handing him something akin to a medal.
“What is this?” Chu Mu asked, looking at the medal.
“With this, we can walk straight in.” Yu Suo attached the medal to her chest; the emblem on it appeared to be from the Monster Beast Palace.
Chu Mu had just been pondering how to infiltrate such a tightly-guarded barracks, but the medal handed to him by Yu Suo suddenly made him feel like his intelligence was being increasingly unused as his strength grew…
Strolling in boldly would be far better than sneaking around dodging patrols, despite Chu Mu’s great confidence in his own ability to hide.
Yu Suo changed into ordinary clothes, her hair color also changed to a common black, and she covered the sides of her face slightly with a high collar.
As for Chu Mu, there was no need for a disguise. He always looked quite ordinary, and on top of that, there weren’t many in this Struggle Land who knew him, so there was no need to alter his facial features; even if he walked straight in, no one would recognize him.
The outermost layer of the barracks was the area where the Emperor Level legions were stationed, which were arranged in extremely regular blocks, forming very systematic squares, with straight roads leading to the inner parts of the barracks, looking from afar much like a meticulously planned city.
Chu Mu and Yu Suo followed this long pathway, passing by other soul pet trainers who were leisurely walking like them.
Among the legion, most who wore uniform were soldiers and generals; those daring to wear ordinary clothing were almost uniformly high-ranking commanders or particularly powerful soul pet trainers.
Back and forth several patrol groups passed; whenever the patrols riding Mad Beasts saw Chu Mu and Yu Suo, they hesitated slightly, but upon noticing their medals, they saluted and left.
Occasionally, they saw soul pet trainers who lacked military temperament; these trainers casually walked past them, also giving Chu Mu and Yu Suo a thorough examination, often hearing praises of Yu Suo’s figure and looks.
Even in ordinary dress, this woman indeed attracted attention.
“If each camp holds a thousand people and we’ve passed a hundred camps, then we have seen Emperor Level legions numbering a hundred thousand already,” Yu Suo whispered to Chu Mu.
Chu Mu looked ahead and realized that they had not even passed half of the camps, meaning that the Emperor Level legions could very likely exceed two hundred thousand.
“Someone is coming towards us,” Chu Mu perceived something and fixed his gaze on a soul pet trainer coming straight at them.
The man was controlling a deep red Blood Beast, and from the medal he should be from the Monster Beast Palace.
However, he most probably was not from the Snake Dragon Sect.
“He’s one of my subordinates, coming to lead the way for us,” Yu Suo stated.
The soul pet trainer approached Yu Suo, giving Chu Mu an unsure glance as he passed by before bowing his head in a greeting to Yu Suo.
The soul pet trainer felt strange because, most of the time, everyone walking alongside the Female Sovereign should be half a step behind her, showing loyal and dutiful following.
Yet, what he saw was the Female Sovereign following next to this man, which contradicted his prior knowledge of her. (.)
