Chapter 70 Martial Spirit Hall
Currently, Long Tian and Li Yue'er were inside the training room. However, Li Yue'er's expression was filled with disbelief after hearing Long Tian's explanation.
"You said I have a special physique?" Li Yue'er asked earnestly.
"Yes, a special physique of the Nine Realms, which allows you to absorb Reiki and auras from other realms and turn them into the foundation of your cultivation. It's incredibly powerful if you develop it to higher levels," Long Tian said.
Li Yue'er fell silent, unable to utter a word. She hadn't expected to possess a special physique that sounded so formidable.
"But unfortunately, it comes with a side effect that makes you fall asleep for days or even weeks, like when you were at my villa," Long Tian continued.
"So that's why I fell asleep... but is it dangerous?" Li Yue'er asked curiously.
"No, it doesn't harm you while you're asleep. And don't worry about it anymore because I've obtained an antidote for that side effect," Long Tian replied.
Then, he retrieved a lotus flower from his storage ring. "This is a Dreaming Lotus. By consuming it, the side effect will disappear," he said, handing the lotus to Li Yue'er.
Li Yue'er accepted the lotus but her expression was uneasy. "Long Tian, this is obviously not an ordinary plant, right? You must have put in some effort to obtain it," she said, her tone uncomfortable.
Long Tian, on the other hand, smiled. "It's nothing, really. In fact, I gained many good things besides this lotus. And didn't I say I wanted to help you change the Li family? I might not directly help you in killing those old bastards, but I will assist you by making you stronger," he said.
"Thank you, Long Tian," Li Yue'er said sincerely, her smile as soft as the finest silk.
"No problem. Alright, you can consume it here," Long Tian said.
"Consume it directly?" Li Yue'er asked.
"Yes, it has no adverse effects, so don't worry," Long Tian replied.
Li Yue'er nodded and stared at the lotus. After a moment, she consumed it directly.
It tasted somewhat bitter, but it was bearable, all in the name of getting rid of the side effects.
After consuming it, Li Yue'er felt nothing. "I don't feel anything, but something inside me feels like it's vanishing," she said.
"That's the side effect of your special physique. Alright, let's consider the issue of your side effects resolved. Now, are you ready to start your cultivation and martial arts training?" Long Tian asked.
"I'm ready," Li Yue'er said with determination.
Long Tian smiled, then retrieved three thin books he had prepared.
"These are three martial arts techniques: Slender Fist Technique, Breathing Technique, and Paw Step. If you can master any of them in one night, I'll give you another powerful technique," Long Tian said.
Li Yue'er received the three techniques with a determined expression. "I won't disappoint you," she said.
"Good. I'll leave you to practice here," Long Tian said.
After some conversation, he left the room.
*****************
Time passed quickly, and the beautiful night had come to an end, giving way to a cool morning. The ground was damp from the rain, indicating last night's showers.
Long Tian sat on his bed, rubbing his face. Glancing at the clock, it showed 6 o'clock in the morning, so he wasn't in a hurry to shower since it was a day off.
"There's time for a quick shower before checking on Li Yue'er's progress," he said.
With that, he headed towards the bathroom.
*************
The chirping of birds echoed in the villa's surroundings. This place was indeed nestled near the mountains, often attracting perching birds.
At this moment, Long Tian had finished his shower, dressed casually, and made his way to the training room.
Opening the door he saw Li Yue'er still practicing.
Li Yue'er, on the other hand, noticed Long Tian's presence and turned, "Oh, good morning Long Tian, it's a fine morning," she greeted, a smile gracing her feature.
Long Tian approached her with casual curiosity. "How is your progress?" he inquired.
A confident smirk curved Li Yue'er's lips. "Hehe, believe it or not, I've mastered it all," she declared.
"Oh, really? Can you show it to me?" Long Tian prompted.
"Of course," Li Yue'er replied, enthusiasm shining in her eyes.
"Alright, then. Give it your all," Long Tian encouraged.
Li Yue'er nodded and took a poised stance. With swift grace, she darted toward Long Tian, delivering a punch accompanied by a gust of wind.
A resounding "Bang!" echoed as her punch connected with Long Tian, but he remained unmoved, as if untouched.
"Not bad at all. From the precision of your movements and the power behind that punch, it's clear you've mastered the Slender Fist technique," Long Tian remarked, offering her a smile.
He wasn't surprised by Li Yue'er's talent. In the original plot, she was exceptionally talented; she just wasn't given the chance to practice martial arts by her father.
Meanwhile, Li Yue'er couldn't fathom how her punch had left no impact on Long Tian. "That punch could bend iron; how strong are you, Long Tian?" she asked, genuine curiosity in her eyes.
"You would need a thousand of those punches to even scratch me," Long Tian replied, a sly grin tugging at his lips.
"It seems I need to train harder," Li Yue'er sighed, then, she added, "But, Long Tian, last night, I felt that sensation again, a significant amount of Reiki pouring out of my body, but I just stayed put because I didn't know what to do."
"Is that so? Well, that's how your unique physique operates, absorbing Reiki from other realms, with your body as the conduit. If you're not asleep, then the lotus functions effectively in eliminating the side effects," Long Tian replied.
"I see. Thank you, Long Tian. I'll never forget your kindness," Li Yue'er expressed her gratitude genuinely, her smile as soft as silk.
"It's just the beginning. If you want to overthrow your father's power, you'll need to awaken your martial spirit," Long Tian stated.
"Awakeninv my martial spirit? I almost forgot about that. I've been out of school for nearly a month," she admitted.
"Yes, the martial spirit awakening ceremony took place just yesterday. If you participate, you'll undoubtedly be in the first cluster. But don't worry, I can escort you to the branch of the martial spirit hall in Tianzhou," Long Tian proposed.
"That's a great idea," Li Yue'er nodded.
"Alright, get ready. You can use the bathroom," Long Tian instructed.
"Okay," Li Yue'er nodded.
With that, they both exited the room. Li Yue'er had explored the villa's layout several times, so she was familiar with some of the rooms.
*************
Long Tian waited in the living room, anticipating Li Yue'er's completion of her shower. His goal for the day was to accompany her to the Martial Spirit Hall, where she would awaken her martial spirit.
The Martial Spirit Hall served as a central hub for martial spirit practitioners, overseeing various aspects related to martial spirits, including trading soul beasts, techniques, and providing assistance to practitioners.
The martial spirit hall included an academy, a hospital, a plethora of techniques, and security measures akin to recognized government authorities.
Enrolling in the martial spirit academy might be a good option, but his ultimate intention remained fixed on Xuantian Academy.
In the original plot, the Martial Spirit Hall was an enemy of Qin Chen and ended up being destroyed by him in the ending.
However, Long Tian had no issues with them; in fact, they were allies of the Long family. So, he didn't need to take any unnecessary actions against them.
*************
Midway through a snack, Long Tian sensed movement behind him. Turning around, he beheld Li Yue'er, wrapped only in a towel.
A blush tinted her cheeks as she stammered, "I didn't bring any spare clothes, Long Tian."
Realization washed over Long Tian as he remembered that he had kidnapped Li Yue'er here, and ended up staying for three weeks without spare clothes.
"I'll give you my clothes," he offered.
Then, he walked to his room, with Li Yue'er following him.
He took out a pair of long black pants he hadn't worn in a few years and a long white shirt.
"These should work," he said, handing the clothes to Li Yue'er.
"Thank you, Long Tian," she said, a genuine smile lighting up her face.
"No problem," Long Tian replied.
With that settled, he returned to the living room, allowing Li Yue'er some privacy to change. e
************
After a while, Li Yue'er emerged from the room, now dressed in Long Tian's clothes. She hadn't expected to be wearing his attire, but surprisingly, the clothes suited her.
Once she entered the living room, Long Tian raised an intrigued eyebrow. In those men's clothes, Li Yue'er didn't look out of place at all.
Her days as the strict and fiery head of the student council seemed like a distant memory, replaced by a more relaxed demeanor.
"How do I look?" Li Yue'er inquired, her smile radiating warmth.
"Beautiful," Long Tian complimented, a matching smile on his lips.
"Thank you," Li Yue'er responded, her gratitude genuine.
"Shall we go now?" Long Tian suggested.
"Sure," Li Yue'er agreed.
With that, the two of them left the villa and climbed into Long Tian's Ferrari.
Their destination: the Martial Spirit Hall.
