Chapter 922 - 922: The Prince Of House Azrakith [Part 2]

“This Prince will forgive you for your transgressions earlier. Now, I will ask you another question,” Prince Xylen said. “Are these ladies your wives?”

Viola, Sharon, and Louise all blushed. They weren’t even Thirteen’s fiancées. The only ones who had been recognized by the public were Sherry and Erica.

“This lady here is my lover,” Thirteen replied. “Her name is Sherry. The three ladies over there are my subordinates. Their names are Viola, Sharon, and Louise.”

“I see. So they’re your friends with benefits!” Prince Xylen nodded. “I learned a thing or two from the Wanderer we captured. He said many young men liked to have friends with benefits, whom they play a sport with. Something called wrestling on the bed.

“I don’t really know why you need to wrestle on top of the bed, but I guess it’s a cultural thing, right?”

“… As expected of Prince Xylen, you are a cultured person,” Thirteen replied. “I am very impressed.”

“Hahaha!” Prince Xylen laughed. “I wasn’t called a genius prodigy in my homeland for nothing.”

Sherry was doing her best to keep herself from giggling because she found the Prince quite funny.

She always thought that Jinns were violent and bloodthirsty creatures. This impression had only recently changed after she had interacted with Camazotz, Paimon, and Kamrusepa.

However, Sherry believed they only treated her kindly because she was Zion’s fiancée.

If she were any other ordinary Wanderer who wandered in their territory, the chances of her becoming their lunch were very high.

So, seeing a true Prince of the Jinns act in a friendly and funny manner made her understand that not all Jinns were born bad.

If only Thirteen could hear her thoughts, he would advise her not to use Prince Xylen as a comparison to the other Jinns.

Because he is an exception among exceptions.

Even the Jinns wouldn’t want to touch him with a ten-foot pole!

Viola, Sharon, and Louise also found Prince Xylen endearing.

Even using the words “genius” and “prodigy” in the same sentence made perfect sense to him.

“Now, let’s talk about more important things,” Prince Xylen’s tone suddenly became serious. “I heard that you are the Supreme Commander of the Alliance. Is that true?”

“That is what they call me,” Thirteen replied.

“Then can you order the human armies to mobilize anytime you want?”

“If need be, yes.”

Prince Xylen nodded. “Then I want you to become my subordinate. I promise not to mistreat you and to treat you like a sworn brother. There are many beautiful insect ladies in my homeland. You can take as many as you like.

“The fun thing is that they can give birth to dozens, even hundreds, of eggs at a time. You will be able to have so many kids, you would even run out of names to give them!”

At that moment, all the endearment that Sherry, Viola, Sharon, and Louise felt for the Prince vanished without a trace.

The mere thought of Zion having hundreds of kids, even thousands, was enough to make them feel like they wanted to stab Prince Xylen to get rid of a future threat.

“Um, why are you girls looking at me with killing intent?” Prince Xylen, who was very sensitive to these kinds of things, asked in confusion. “Don’t you know? Having a lot of children is a good thing?”

Thirteen raised his hand to signal the ladies to calm themselves.

“You wish for me to become your subordinate, right?” Thirteen asked.

“Yes!” Prince Xylen said. “Name your price and I’ll make it happen.”

Thirteen pondered for a bit before speaking out his mind.

“You want to rule over the Wanderers, right?”

“Absolutely. I want to take over this world and give it as a gift to my father.”

“I see.” Thirteen nodded in understanding. “Unfortunately, it won’t work.”

“Huh?” Prince Xylen frowned. “Why not?”

Thirteen smiled faintly before lightly tapping his communicator. Suddenly, an image of the members of the Hero Party fighting against the Jinns was shown.

“Truth be told, the Wanderers dislike someone ruling over them,” Thirteen stated. “They will resist with all their might and fight for their freedom. What they are looking for is not a King but a Hero.

“A knight or a Prince in shining armor who will come and save them from the dangers of the world. And right now, that Hero is none other than him.”

Thirteen pointed to Roland, who had just killed a Rank 5 Sovereign with ease.

The frown on Prince Xylen’s face deepened as he tried to digest Thirteen’s words.

He was truly a simple-minded person. If someone tells him that this person is good, he will imitate that person to do good things.

Using that logic, he held Zion’s gaze and spoke his mind.

“Are you telling me I need to become a Hero so the Wanderers would respect me?” Prince Xylen asked. “Are you asking me to fight other Jinns?”

The contempt in the Prince’s gaze and words was evident, and it reflected the expressions of his entourage as well.

“Yes and no,” Thirteen replied. “You don’t have to fight the Jinns you don’t want to fight. But you can fight the Jinns that you want to fight. For example, the Jinns currently on the front lines are not associated with your faction, right?

“All you need to do is appear and tell them to scram. Once the Wanderers see this act, they will become curious about who you are.”

“Why would they not know who I am?” Prince Xylen asked in confusion. “If I tell those Jinns to scram, wouldn’t they be able to see my face?”

“They won’t see it if you wear this,” Thirteen replied and placed a cool-looking helmet on the top of the table.

“You can also wear this belt, and shout ‘Echo Phase Activate!’,” Thirteen said. “After that, you will undergo a transformation to become the Masked Beetle Rider.

“Using this transformation, you will get the identity of a Hero. With this, even if your identity is discovered in the future, the Wanderers will think favorably of you.”

Sherry looked at the belt and remembered the transformation bracelets that Zion had given them.

He then watched as Prince Xylen wore the belt without a second thought.

His retainers told him not to trust humans too quickly, but the Prince was adamant about wearing it.

“Do I just say the words that you said earlier?” Prince Xylen asked, very curious about what would happen next.

“No, you have to make cool poses first, like this,” Thirteen imitated the very cool transformation pose that he saw on the series that Rhia, Remi, and he watched together.

“Echo Phase Activate!” Thirteen said as he did the pose a second time to show the Prince how it was done.

As if trying to entice the prince to test it, Thirteen equipped his Red Armor, which made him look like the P*kemon called Cerul*dge.

“Wow! So cool!” Prince Xylen was instantly hooked by Zion’s new look and didn’t hesitate to try the transformation pose.

“Echo Phase Activate!” The Prince was then covered from head to foot with armor in the shades of black and gold. Even his antenna complemented the armor, making it look more impressive.

Prince Xylen’s retainers, who were against the idea earlier, couldn’t help but look at their prince in surprise.

They could vaguely sense that he had become a lot stronger, and although they didn’t want to admit it, he did look cool wearing the armor.

“Hahaha!” Prince Xylen laughed. “This is awesome! I feel so strong!”

As if wanting to test his strength, he lightly tapped the table with the palm of his hand, and it shattered in an instant.

“This armor is amazing!” Prince Xylen said in excitement.

“I’m glad you liked it,” Thirteen replied. “Treat it as a gift from me to you. However, you still need to use an alias when you perform your duty as a hero.

“From now on, you will refer to yourself as the Masked Beetle Rider. Um, you also need to have a proper ride because every Hero needs one. Do you have any strong monsters that look cool that you can ride to battle? Just standing on one and telling Jinns to scram will do the trick.”

“I have just the thing.” Prince Xylen nodded. “I have a dark-blue Tiger Beetle that had pledged loyalty to me not long ago. It’s not just fast. It’s also strong.”

“Oh? A Tiger Beetle? That is actually a good choice.” Thirteen nodded.

Thirteen also had Hercules, who was an Obsidian Tiger Beetle. It could run faster than Blacky because Thirteen had given it the Road Runner Divine Technique.

It was a moving tank that could bulldoze its way against a horde of Jinns and send them all flying like bowling pins.

Prince Xylen snapped his fingers a second time, and the table reformed once more.

This time, he invited Zion to sit once more, but in a friendlier manner, making the teenage boy smile faintly. This might be the start of a partnership that might play a vital role in the full-scale war about to happen in the next few months.
