The dragon's harem

Chapter 1261 - 1261: Twisted Emotions

After the meeting, Zeus and Arad met in a small room inside the castle’s inner sanctum.

“Should we hold the fight today?”

Zeus asked as he was a bit worried about Tyal. Even if she got healed, she was still exhausted from fighting Zenia.

“No need, I already have someone to deal with the Volcanic Titan kingdom.” As long as Arad dismissed an incarnation, he could manifest it beside his remaining incarnations.

The incarnation who watched over Zeus, the second one he had here, had already been dismissed and called at the university.

Arad wasn’t in a hurry anymore. He was now in the process of dealing with the current problems. While Arad was quite impatient to start working on a problem, once he started, all of his moves were calm and calculated. He knows that rushing would only lead to more disasters.

Zeus nodded.

“You should go check on Tyal then. I’ll address the Titans and explain the situation.” Zeus walked out of the room, and Arad headed to Tyal.

Tyal was with Zenia in a large room in the guest’s private quarter, which was technically now Arad’s quarter. Tyal was staying there, and so was Zenia.

As Arad walked inside, Tyal looked back at him, “You’re here, good. Things aren’t looking optimal for her.”

Hearing those words, Arad immediately shifted his gaze to Zenia. Her body had already been fully healed, but the link between her soul and body was still damaged quite a bit, causing her to remain paralyzed and numb. She couldn’t even use magic to control her body with lightning.

At least she can speak and move her head. Her organs also seem to work quite nicely, or at least good enough for her to stay alive.

“I mean, she can’t expect a full recovery after being quite literally dead for five years. And I’m not a resurrection master.” He approached, and Tyal shook her head.

“I’m not talking about her body, that would heal in time.”

“It is about my mind, you bastard,” Zenia growled. “Raptur manipulated emotions and feelings. I escaped him and resurrected, true. But now all of my emotions and senses are quite jumbled.”

All of Zenia’s emotions got reversed now, the same way Raptur used to manipulate them to keep his subjects in check. If she felt stuffed, then she was starving; if she felt pleasure, she was in pain. And if she was angry, then she must be happy.

“Right now, I feel only anger, rage, fear, and hatred toward you two, so much that I would’ve run away crying if I could. But my rational mind is still here, I know that those feelings are just the result of my mental deterioration.” She looked at the ceiling, her eyes looked calm and collected, but that only meant that she was drowning in worry.

“They say facing your fears is the best way to grow out of them. So, probably facing my emotions and feeling head on would help me hammer them straight.”

“Let’s just hope you’ll get them straight and won’t have to live like this forever.” Tyal looked at Zenia with a smile. “Do you know what’s good? You look a few years younger.”

“Raptur used time reversal to heal himself and his puppets. At least I can think of that as a boon.” Zenia looked at Arad.

“That’s why I asked Tyal to help me. My body is paralyzed now, so I’m not a problem, but I’m certain I will be when I can move. I wish you could chain and help recover.”

Tyal looked at Arad, “If she is scared of us, then we’ll have to keep her close. If she doesn’t have an appetite, then we should force her to eat.”

At least it was a bit simple with Tyal’s rational mind being fine. Even if she was crying in fear, she could tell them that she was fine. And with Arad being able to read minds, her true feelings and emotions are an open book.

Arad looked at her for a second, “I can somewhat read minds. That should help.”

Zenia looked at him. “Do you know how I feel about you? You’re the one who saved my life.” She paused for a moment and then finished. “I feel violated, as if you’re the one who killed and tortured me for years. I bet that keeping my body’s reaction to that fear and anger would be quite impossible for me now, and it’s still extremely hard to control my words.”

Arad nodded, “Don’t worry, even with how I look, I’m quite hard to anger.” He smiled and approached her.

Immediately, he noticed her eyes twitch and her face darken. She was terrified of him.

Zenia then sighed, “This will be hard to deal with.”

“Indeed. I can feel that your mind is calm, but your soul is shuddering in terror and boiling with hatred. I should look for someone with expertise in emotions and mind manipulation.” He looked at Tyal, “We’ll have to take her back with us and have Sena take a look at her first. If that didn’t work, then we’ll have to just try…” He paused for a second. “No, why wait?”

He looked at Zenia, “I could just swallow you into my stomach here, and pull you out at the university where Sena is.”

“Please don’t.” Zenia’s voice twitched, and Arad remained silent for a second.

“That was your emotions speaking.”

Zenia remained silent for a while and then spoke in a shaking voice. “Yes, I feel horrified just having you so close. I would be mortified if you touched me, let alone swallowed me whole. But do it, at least I won’t be able to resist while I’m paralyzed.”

“Then get ready for it.”

Arad swallowed Zenia whole and pulled her out of his stomach in Sena’s house in Croc City. She had already passed out of fear.

“So this is Zenia?” Sena looked at the unconscious Zenia for a while and then frowned, “Her situation is a bit complex. But I can help.”

“What can you do?” Arad asked, and Sena smiled, “We’ll, it’s quite simple.”

She then shook Zenia to wake her up.

Zenia woke up both confused and terrified, she had just experienced being swallowed alive by an eldritch horror.

“I’ve got a makeshift solution to your case. Since your mind is still working fine, it should work.” Sena’s smile grew a bit mischievous.

“I’ll make you a slave to yourself, bind your body to your conscious mind by magic.”

After a long minute of heavy breathing and thinking, Zenia finally made up her mind. “Please do, but… can you enslave me to Tyal or Arad as well? I don’t think my mind can endure on its own for long. Just getting teleported here almost broke my will.”

“Oh, I was going to do that anyway.” Sena looked at her with a terrifying smile.
