Considering his situation—needs to become stronger by capitalizing on his Imbalanced Spirit Veins, the answer should be obvious already. Killing Voidal Monsters is the most effective way he could obtain Nightfall Stars and grow stronger.
It was his first day in the Spirit Realm but he still had to hurry.
Better for him to be too quick than too late.
Nodding his head, Rex gets rid of the panels for the Mask of the Banished Eclipse and also the Aegis of Moon Sentinel—focusing solely on the Red Dawn of Kaiser. As he was still in the High Spirit rank, the method to cultivate was quite straightforward.
He only needed life energy to grow the Soul Artifact mark on his back.
Currently, Rex has accumulated 52 White Nightfall Stars that he could absorb and obtain life energy.
Not to mention, he also has five of the Double Absorption Tickets from reaching level 10.
I should save the tickets for when I get stronger Nightfall Stars. For now, let's do it raw.
Without even opening his eyes, Rex summoned one White Nightfall Star.
Out of nowhere, materializing on his chest was a glowing white star symbol that exuded a cooling air that was quite pleasant. Rex could feel the life energy coming from his chest and with nothing—but his will, he began guiding the energy through his veins. Its destination was clear, the Soul Artifact mark on his back.
Controlling life energy was still something new for Rex, he couldn't control it—as well as he had—with his kingly energy or elemental mana but he was adapting incredibly well. Unlike others who would be struggling to adapt, it was easy for Rex.
Be it because of him being a Werewolf or his extremely high control mastery, he was adapting quickly.
Swish…
As the life energy approached closer to his Soul Artifact mark, the red claw part of the mark began exuding a crimson hue—reacting eagerly. Rex's face twitched when a stabbing sensation swarmed his body as the life energy interacted with the mark.
Even though the part near the mark hurts more, it enveloped his entire body. Enjoy more content from My Virtual Library Empire
Having an Imbalanced Spiritual Vein is good for his situation but it wasn't flawless.
An imbalanced Spiritual Vein meant there were holes—a couple, dozens, or even hundreds across the entirety of the Spiritual Vein. All of these holes were sensitive and if life energy went past them, some of it would leak out on top causing pain.
But then again, Rex was not someone who could be deterred from pain.
His pain tolerance was extremely high.
Pain of this caliber wouldn't spark more than a slight twitch on his face.
Knowing that, Rex should be relaxed but he wasn't.
I can handle the pain no problem but if the pain from the Gradual Penalty increases two times or even one more time, I don't know if I could ignore this pain anymore. Even now, I'm sure Linthia would be able to only barely fight the pain. Maybe I should ask the System for ways to lessen the pain from this process.
Focusing back on the moment, Rex could feel the tendrils of life energy reaching for the mark.
Upon contact, the mark glowed red spectacularly.
<Red Dawn of Kaiser's Realm Progression: 1%...>
<4%...>
<9%...>
Steadily, the life energy from the White Nightfall Star reinforced his Soul Artifact mark.
Even though the pain would deter many from the good side of this process, Rex wasn't one of them.
It took him almost ten minutes to absorb the entirety of the White Nightfall Star.
Once the life energy inside of it was exhausted, the glowing white star on Rex's chest flickered before disappearing completely. Rex checked the progression—and saw that he was at 11%. One might think that it was quite fast but it wasn't as fast as Rex wanted.
Nevertheless, he continued cultivating the Red Dawn of Kaiser Soul Artifact.
During his cultivation, time passed in a blur.
Before Rex realized it, the day had already turned to night.
Rex opened his eyes, ending his meditation, and was instantly greeted by several notifications.
<Congratulations, the user has achieved a breakthrough!>
<Red Dawn of Kaiser Realm Progression: High Spirit 3 (33%)>
<All of the user's stats have been increased appropriately!>
Seeing these notifications, Rex didn't waste any time and instantly checked his own stats.

…
"Huh… I got only a little bit stronger," Rex mumbled, the increase was quite minuscule.
But then again, his physical strength, which was transferred to the Spirit Realm, was already on par with Ascendant Spirit 5, so an increase of a small realm—within the High Spirit realm, wouldn't amount to anything spectacular.
All he needed to do now was to reach the Ascendant Spirit rank as soon as possible.
Glancing over to the side, he saw Amanir was sleeping soundly.
On the other hand, Linthia was sitting cross-legged on the other bed, also cultivating.
Also having an Imbalanced Spiritual Vein, she must obtain an equivalent of Nightfall Stars from killing a few Shadow Hounds earlier. It wasn't much but it should be enough for her to start training her control over life energy.
"Linthia…" Rex called softly. "Linthia, we need to go"
Fearing that he might damage her Spiritual Vein by forcing her to snap out of her meditation, Rex decided to call her name instead. Hearing her name being called, Linthia slowly opened her eyes—and turned to look at Rex.
"Come on," He said, standing up and heading for the door.
Upon seeing this, Linthia cast a glance at Amanir, sleeping soundly, "Should I wake up Amanir?"
"No, he doesn't have an Imbalance Spiritual Vein so there's no use for him to come," Rex replied.
Just like Andreas suggested, Rex and Linthia went to the Void Hub.
Finding the Void Hub wasn't something hard, it was the most crowded place in the whole Arbitgea—the sheer number of people that came in and out of the entrance was quite astonishing. Fortunately, it didn't come to a point where they needed to squeeze through.
It was crowded but they could go through fine.
Had they come in the morning though, it would definitely be too crowded.
Entering into the bustling hall, Rex's sharp gaze swept over the lively scene before him.
Despite the appearance from the outside, the Void Hub's inside was quite spacious, abuzz with activity, and exuded an air of rugged determination. On his left stretched a long, polished wooden desk where receptionists efficiently managed the steady stream of people coming and going.
Their voices mingled with the rustle of papers and the clinking of coins, creating an air of purpose.
Beside the desk stood several towering bulletin boards, plastered with missions and requests.
Countless parchments pinned to them fluttered slightly, each one was filled with details for the Walkers.
"What is this place?" Linthia muttered under her breath.
Upon hearing this, Rex answered while keeping his eyes trailing around as if searching for something, "It's called a Void Hub, Walkers came here to take missions and complete them. Pretty simple stuff, and we're here to become one"
Only Walkers could accept the missions here and be rewarded for them.
I need money to at least sustain us without worry, several missions should do the trick.
Of course, taking on missions would help him attain coins but Rex didn't need much, only enough.
Once he was settled and reached the Ascendant Spirit rank, he would start traversing the Black Rift on his own—and hunt down Voidal Monsters. As he has the System's scanning feature, there was no need for him to worry about the darkness.
He could see the stat windows of Voidal Monsters before they could attack.
Linthia is a Seeker too so it should be fine.
Glancing over to his right, tucked into the far corner, was an open inn.
Rows of sturdy tables and long benches hosted a diverse crowd of Walkers who were socializing and taking a break after finishing a mission. Laughter and spirited chatter mixed with clink of mugs could be heard from the distance as people indulged in food, drink, and camaraderie.
"I'll go ask around on how we could apply as Walkers," Linthia said.
She already walked away before Rex could say a word.
System, she's one of the people of my kingdom, right? Can you mark her somehow?
Of course, Rex could follow his scent but it would be faster if he could find her easier than scent.
<Marking Linthia…>
As soon as that notification appeared, Rex could see her stat window hovering above her.
Even though it wasn't what he had in mind, it was fine.
"I don't think only the people—from Arbitgea gathered here," Rex mumbled inwardly, finding several people who seemed really sleek and dignified for a working city like Arbitgea. "I guess not every city has a Void Hub, that's probably the case"
Just then, Rex stumbled forward as someone bumped him from behind.
"Watch where you're standing," A burly man with a comparable stature as Rex commented.
He has four other guys with him, the ideal group of Walkers.
However, as the burly man turned to look at Rex, he found that Rex wasn't looking at him.
Somehow, the fact that Rex gave no reaction from being bumped hard from behind irked the burly man.
"Hey, I'm talking to you!" He barked again.
Rex turned towards him this time, his eyes were glowing red and as sharp as a blade.
At the exact same time, the burly man could feel his danger sense being riled up—as he unconsciously took a step back, 'Eh…? What happened? Why did my body move on its own like this? This is the first time…'
Just one glance from Rex alone made his entire body feel fear.
It was almost as if he was standing in front of someone who was way above his league.
However, that shouldn't be the case.
'No, that can't be. Look at him,' the burly man thought, scanning Rex from top to bottom. 'No matter how I look at him, he's nothing but a nobody. Someone like me shouldn't be acting like this in front of someone like him!'
As the burly man was in turmoil, Rex frowned.
Peeking from behind the burly man's long silver hair, right on his leather strap was an insignia.
An insignia that bore the emblem of an ink-black scorpion with a venomous stinger.
Rex's eyebrows dipped into a frown when he saw that—he averted his gaze to the other side and saw the banners hung around the place had the exact same emblem as the burly guy's. Getting into trouble with him is a bad move, I'll lay low.
"Sorry, I dozed off" Rex smiled apologetically, scratching the back of his head.
Upon hearing this, another guy sneered, "Use your eyes if you don't want us to take them,"
Instead of retaliating, Rex bowed slightly toward them before exiting.
Just then, however, his shoulder was grabbed from behind by the burly man,
"Hey, I'm not done with you…" He said threateningly.
Seeing the burly man's smug look, Rex swallowed his anger and smiled again, "It's my fault, I don't want any trouble. If you could forgive me this one time, I will never be in your sight ever agai-" Just before he could finish, the grip tightened instead.
Almost instantly, Rex's expression darkened, "Walk away if you know what's good for you…"
"What did you say to me?" the burly man barked in disbelief, he didn't expect Rex to shift his demeanor like that. "Fine, you asked for this fucker. Let's settle this like a man. If you're acting arrogant, then you must be sure that you could back it up!"
<Killing Intent quest has been issued!>
"Sigh…" Rex shook his head. "Now you've done it. I did warn you"
