THE LAST PARAGON IN THE APOCALYPSE

Before the rebirth, Kathy was a Thunderwing.

Now, she was a golden Thunderwing with a divine Beast Bloodline. She had become the first of her kind. The heavens have acknowledged her now.

Everyone was happy for her. Of course, she had become someone akin to a new life form. This is the first-ever divine-grade beast of the Thunderwing lineage.

She was meant to be different, and she is different.

“Kathy, what has changed about you?” Anna asked, sitting on Kathy’s left side. Hanna was on the right, and Lily was beside Anna.

“For starters, I am now a Tier 10 beast, and like Lord… Brother Klaus has said, I am a divine beast. I would like to say I know what has happened to me, but it will take some time to fully assess that.

But some cool things have happened to me.” She extended her hand, and a 2-meter-long golden spear made from an unknown material appeared in her grip.

“Wow!”

Some of the ladies exclaimed as the spear appeared in her hand. It was bathed in lightning, and its radiating energy showed it was no simple spear.

The design was sleek, and the runes etched onto it made it appear dangerous and deadly. Obviously, Klaus could tell just by looking at it that the spear was meant for killing.

“It’s a soul weapon called—Storm’s Wrath.”

“Cool name,” Mark said, admiring the spear. He was also a spearman, so he knew just how deadly the weapon was.

“It allows me to command the storm however I want, and just like the weapons awakened by you guys, the stronger I get, the more dangerous the spear becomes. Basically, it grows with me.

I also now have Bloodline abilities and even an Innate Talent called [Daughter of Lightning].

It allows me to wield lightning with ease and also connect with its source as I grow stronger, harnessing its power.”

Kathy went on about all the cool changes that had occurred to her. Meanwhile, Klaus was using the authority he had over her—because she had taken in his blood—to access her true potential.

From what he saw, she was indeed worthy to be a divine beast.

Her bloodline made her immune to all lightning attacks and added a 30% extra punch to every lightning attack she unleashed.

Strangely, this ability of hers now also applied to Hanna, who was very happy to know that. The beast companion was not useless to her master at all.

Aside from that, she also had a Law of Self that, from what she told everyone, was connected to her bloodline—and she wasn’t the one who had comprehended it.

In fact, she had never tried to comprehend her own Law of Self, as most beasts do the moment they reach Tier 9. In a way, she had jumped many levels, so it only made sense.

She was a Level 2 Transcendent when Klaus gave her his blood, so if she was now an Ascendant, it meant she had jumped seven levels.

The Law of Self was purely for her to maintain clarity in combat. It had three effects on her. It had no opposing effect on her opponents, and that was for the best.

First, she would never grow tired as long as she willed it. In combat, she could go as long as her Spiritual Qi could sustain her. She would never run out of stamina, nor would she feel any mental fatigue.

Second was Pseudo-Immortality. She would become akin to an immortal whenever she used her Law of Self. Inside her Law of Self, all damage dealt to her was reduced by a whopping 50%.

She would only take half of the attack, no matter how dangerous.

The last was something she called Excedo 040. The name sounded strange, but according to her, when inside her domain, she has a 40% chance to ignore all forms of defence and deal true damage.

No matter the defence or strength of a person, the moment she gains the chance, her attack will deal true damage.

She then moved on to her forms.

She has a Human form, a Divine Beast form, and a Manifestation.

The first two are practically the forms every beast has, except she has become much more human than most beasts. This was a result of her bloodline and Klaus’s blood.

However, the third form, which is a manifestation, involves her using both forms together. In her human form, she can summon her Divine Beast form. She can also summon her human form while in her beast form.

However, she would have to depend on her energy reserve, as the longer the manifestation remains, the more energy she will need to sustain it.

This manifestation is very useful when looking to fight with all your strength. Klaus was particularly happy when he found out that the manifestation wouldn’t affect her strength.

In fact, she would even become twice as powerful when using both forms.

Then, there were the skills and techniques she had awakened. She awakened three skills and one technique, each related to killing with lightning.

It was both dangerous and impressive to know she was now a divine beast with powerful skills meant for killing.

Her final change was her bloodline ability, called [Harden].

This ability allows her to transform her Divine Beast form into a Golden Thunderwing, with wings and feathers made of golden metal. In this form, her strength increases by 160%.

However, she can only use it for three hours every day.

It doesn’t matter how low her stamina or energy is; she essentially becomes a bird encased in a metal outfit and can launch metal feathers.

She shared everything there was to know with everyone, and the more they listened, the more they all wanted to get their own beast companions.

Klaus simply smiled and reassured them he would help. He would now first learn more about his Star Monarch Bloodline after caring for his ladies.

That was equally beneficial to him, just as his bloodlines and memories were. He wouldn’t prioritize one over the other.
