The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse
Chapter 826 - 826: Nyxthar, The DeathknightAfter a day of sleep, Klaus and Lunara woke up refreshed from the intense marathon they had been on for an entire week. They had one more round before Klaus created a pool for them to wash in.
Though he had yet to awaken his water element, melting the ice wasn’t too hard. So, he created a rather lavish pool for them, despite Mars having no water to speak of.
After they washed up, they decided to explore Mars to see if they could find something valuable. However, their exploration didn’t last long when Klaus sensed something coming from his multi-dimensional cube.
“I think one of my subordinates is ready for his tribulation,” Klaus said, holding Lunara’s hand. She nodded.
“…In that case, let’s see to that first before anything else,” Lunara said. Klaus retrieved the cube, and the two of them entered. They appeared inside the void region where he had sent Nyxthar.
“Wow, this place is awesome. I can feel my comprehension of the Void rising just by standing here,” Lunara said, and Klaus gave a guilty smile.
“…Sorry, I wanted to bring you and the ladies here, but I first wanted to give you my blood before that.” Klaus knew that if his ladies were to train here, their chances of comprehending the Void long before reaching the Void stage were very high.
However, he could not bring them just yet due to the training and plans to make them evolve.
Lunara smiled. “Don’t worry about it. Your blood is enough to push me to a high level of Void comprehension.”
Lunara looked toward a certain direction, and her eyes landed on a tall figure standing with a large scythe-like weapon in his hands.
His appearance was demonic and rather terrifying, and he was radiating an energy that couldn’t be denied.
“He is my subordinate, Nyxthar. He is a deathknight, and from the look of things, it seems he is at a high stage in Void comprehension.”
Klaus and Lunara vanished and appeared on the Immortal platform Nyxthar stood on. Nyxthar seemed happy to see Klaus, considering he had no idea how to contact him.
Though Klaus promised he would come to get him when he was ready to have his tribulation.
“Are you ready?” Klaus asked, and the deathknight nodded.
“Then let’s go. The moment you appear outside, the tribulation will descend. Do your best to pass it, as the rewards will be worth it.”
Nyxthar nodded, and then Klaus sent them outside. As he had said, the tribulation clouds started forming when they appeared outside.
“We will be over there. If anything goes wrong, I will step in,” Klaus said. He and Lunara moved back, allowing Nyxthar to face the heavens alone.
Naturally, they wouldn’t go easy on him, considering his unique nature. As a Forbidden Being, his existence is frowned upon by the heavens.
Deep underground, hovering over the lava pool, Veylor smiled when he sensed the weather change.
“It looks like you will be having fun, Nyxthar. I look forward to sparring with you,” he said with a smile, then focused back on his cultivation.
Nirvana and Fury were also deep into their own cultivation.
The tribulation cloud continued to form on the surface. After five minutes, the first level started to appear.
[As expected, it’s the Annihilation Tribulation. They most definitely want to annihilate him.]
The senior identified the tribulation instantly when the first level appeared. It was a large mountain featuring thousands of stones that could only be found in space.
Though they were made of tribulation runes, they held the essence of the real materials. They called it the Annihilation Mountain.
Its purpose was to press down on Nyxthar.
It does not have any other attack power besides its sheer weight. However, the closer it got to Nyxthar, the more suppressed his will became until the entire mountain fell on him and crushed him into paste.
But just as the mountain appeared, the scythe in Nyxthar’s hand turned red. With a gentle swing, a red arc flashed out and cleaved the mountain in half.
[As expected, this tribulation is as good as done for someone who has attained a High grade in Void Comprehension. The heavens are cooked.]
The senior sighed.
Klaus, however, stared at the second level of the Annihilation Tribulation. This time, a giant sword about 40 meters long and 8 meters wide appeared.
However, Nyxthar used the same attack, and just like that, the sword was cleaved in half, turning into tribulation runes.
“It looks like I was worried for nothing,” Klaus said, forming an ice throne. He sat down and made Lunara sit on his lap as they watched the tribulation unfold.
Though his hands were doing something else.
The third level appeared: a large tiger nearly 40 meters in length. Nyxthar was tall, but this Tribulation tiger was colossal. However, even in the face of such terror, he used just a single attack to destroy it.
The trend continued four more times until the tribulation came to an end.
However, the moment it was done, Nyxthar was surrounded by void energy, creating a cocoon around him.
“It looks like your subordinates are much more impressive than I expected,” Lunara said, brushing her hands through Klaus’s hair.
“They are not normal humans like us. Their lineage is much darker and more impressive. So don’t be shocked when you meet the other three, who, without a doubt, will be as impressive as this one.”
A day later, Nyxthar finished undergoing his evolution.
As Veylor predicted, his form also changed from the metallic demonic look to a more human form after his bloodline awakened fully. Well, he didn’t change; he just took on a more human appearance, allowing him to move among people without scaring them.
Obviously, this was the effect of Klaus’s blood amplifying Nyxthar’s own. He had become a rather handsome fellow.
This made Klaus notice something about his bloodline.
It seemed to give those he gave it to an appearance that could be easily accepted. Undoubtedly, Nyxthar couldn’t blend in with his true form.
So, Nyxthar needed a human form like Veylor, who was an elf.
Thankfully, he became more human than most humans, and like his master, he would undoubtedly make the ladies turn and look when he passed.
However, when it was time for battle, his fierce aura and true form would emerge, which would be dangerous to witness.
“Suddenly, I feel like even a cat is more terrifying than you, Nyxthar,” Klaus said to Nyxthar, who smiled before walking toward his master.
When he got close, he went down on his knees. “I am at your service, master.”
