A thundering blow blasted him in the face, flinging him away. He gritted his teeth, confused as to how he had been so caught off-guard by such a straightforward attack, only to find himself staring face to face with a flying knee kick surging towards his abdomen.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!
“Rgh…!” he gritted his teeth, launching a tremendously powerful attack of great force and speed, surging straight towards the entity’s solar plexus, threatening to crush it right then and there.
WHOOSH
His eyes widened with shock as the evolutionary disappeared right before his very eyes.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!
A thundering drop kick blasted his head, leaving him feeling dizzy, as it blasted him straight downwards into the ground, even as the evolutionary launched a maelstrom of blows with great speed and power.
BOOOOM BOOOOM BOOOOM!!!!!
His attacks followed all possible and even impossible trajectories as each attack curved through the air, ravaging the Reverend of Reckoning with great speed.
Sage Jinryong Namgung gritted his teeth as he struggled to see them coming.
One moment, he had been able to perceive the Order of his opponent quite well and easily.
The very next, he was rendered unable to even predict the most elementary of attacks.
The evolutionary’s body had strangely remained almost the same.
Almost.
It had undergone one subtle shift.
One almost imperceptible difference on a level and scale and abstraction that was so profoundly deep that Sage Jinryong was perhaps the only Martial Sage who could have perceived it.
‘He’s not just hiding his Order…” the man realized with a horrified expression. ‘His Order… It’s gone! He has saturated his entire being with entropy!’
Entropy was a concept in physics and mathematics that correlated with ‘disorder.’ In Physics, it spoke to the ‘disorder’ in the distribution of heat, while in mathematics, it was related to the concept of chaos itself.
This was not an immutable property.
Under certain circumstances, it was possible to accelerate entropy by using quantum entanglement to ‘entangle’ the states of all particles in one’s body with the states of all others, and create a complex web of superposition and uncertainty and possibility overload.
The evolutionary had adaptively evolved to the Reverend of Reckoning by undergoing genetic and even molecular and sub-atomic transformations to accelerate and exponentially magnify entropy, using quantum entanglement, to antithetically counter the Reverend of Reckoning’s Martial Art.
Increasing entropy in one’s body was normally a useless ability against almost any other entity in existence. Entropy was not something that could be weaponized in a physical attack, after all.
And yet, it was the most perfect antithesis against the Reverend of Reckoning.
He could feel the entity’s eyes fix on him.
He felt transparent himself.
Invisible.
BOOOOOOOOOOOM BOOOOOOOOOOM BOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!
It was the evolutionary’s turn to blast him with a powerful onslaught of extraordinarily heavy blows that Sage Jinryong Namgung struggled to defend against. Because his perception of Order was so fundamental to his Martial Art, anything that so blatantly overcame this fundamental source of power of his was instantly beyond his ability to defend against.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!
RUMBLE!!!!!
CRACK CRACK CRACK!!!
A tremendously extraordinary blow blasted him away as the evolutionary broke his body with great power and speed. The Martial Sages gritted their teeth as they caught his unconscious body, carrying him away rapidly.
“RETREAT!” the Nestforger gritted his teeth.
With the swift defeat of their leader, the battle was all but concluded.
They stand a chance against the Evolutionary without a Transcendent Candidate.
Hell, after the outcome of this battle, it became clear that not even a Transcendent Candidate would be enough to overcome the Evolutionary.
The evolutionaries snarled, threatening to pursue.
“Enough.”
The voice of the evolutionary was light.
And yet, his command almost halted them with force.
They turned towards him, bowing with due respect.
His body grew opaque as he allowed his subordinates to behold him.
His bare body was a dull gray.
And yet, it sparkled with unfathomable power.
More power than anybody else they had ever sensed.
He was not the strongest because he was the leader of the evolutionaries.
He was the leader of the evolutionaries because he was the strongest.
“This continent will belong to us eventually.”
His tone was calm.
Composed.
His words seemed inevitable when he spoke them.
“The race to conquer the universe has been… put on hold,” he spoke with a neutral tone. “The exotic matter that is abundantly present across the entirety of this landmass will become the fuel of our journey to ascending the scales of civilizations.”
His gaze shifted across his subordinates.
“The rest of Gaia is already converging upon this Lost Continent.”
His eyes closed.
“It has become a priceless treasure trove that countless parties greed for.”
His eyes opened.
They sparkled with boundless willpower.
“We must be the ones to conquer this treasure. In regard to that, the indigenous are not worth our time. Remember that.”
He directed a sweeping gaze across his subordinates.
“For the future of evolution.”
“FOR THE FUTURE OF EVOLUTION!”
“Commence the process of restoration and population transfers,” he commanded them with a powerful tone. “This time, bring powerful space-time stabilizers from the headquarters. I didn’t think we would need them for conquering this continent, but we cannot allow them to open up a wormhole into our base ever again. This time…”
His eyes sharpened.
“I will personally stand guard.”
“Yes, Your Excellency Anthea!”
The evolutionaries immediately got to work as they restarted their colonial projects.
They didn’t even seem the slightest bit sorrowful for all the evolutionaries that had passed away from the surprise ambush by the Martial Sages.
Instead, they immediately resumed their goals on this continent.
The Supreme Commander Anthea floated above the ruined settlement, his awareness focused on his environment.
Even though he was a single person, he alone was enough to inspire absolute confidence in his subordinates.
He was undefeated.
He was among the ten most powerful beings in all of Gaia, regarded as almost unstoppable in his individual combat power.
They possessed absolute confidence in the ability of their leader to protect them.
They were absolutely certain that no being on this continent possessed the ability to overcome.
