Chapter 1624: Titan’s Might

Chapter 1624: Titan’s Might

In the void of the Great Darkness, where countless dimensions flicker like dying embers, the Hischer Fortress of the Omicron Berserkers drifts.

The titans may see its construction as substandard, but few crafts could match the levels of a titan; however, this fortress was a stronghold that was hard to match in Reality.

With a size bigger than an average sun, this fortress had spires that gleamed with enchanted alloys, walls hummed with arcane wards, and members of the Omicron Berserkers lived within its walls.

Pulled from a million dimensions were powerful immortals, ageless warriors, Supreme gods, and mutated dimensional creatures, all in service to the Omicron Berserkers.

They stood here to guard the path towards Origin, the bulwark against the storm, and in the last seven-dimensional cycles, they had destroyed a thousand challengers.

But a storm was coming.

Ximos led his brothers to battle. Their dimensional ship dug its way into the void to avoid being caught in the apocalyptic storm that was about to be unleashed. Titans were known for many things, but subtlety in battle was not one of them.

A hundred Titans, each a mountain of flesh, armor, and primordial fury, surged through the cosmic dark. Their formation was like an arrowhead, and Ximos was in the lead.

They moved in silence, covered by arcane runes that muted their presence for as long as possible, until they reached a few Light years away from the fortress. A lightning wave surged across them, shattering the runes that hid their presence. The fortress had detected the Titans, but it was already too late. A few Light years was nothing to eighth-dimensional beings.

The hundred Titans were revealed, some of them clad in plates of star-forged iron, others were wreathed in all manner of elemental energies, their eyes burned like dying suns, indicating their bloodline of the Torch Dragon.

Their presence had been revealed, and so there was no longer any need for subtlety. They roared, and the void trembled.

The Omicron Berserkers were a faction forged by battle in this period of endless conflict. They had detected a presence far in the distance, and it was still being investigated, but in the blink of an eye, an army of Titans was at their doorstep.

The spiritual intelligence of the Hischer Fortress activated the runic force fields around it.

Such a move should have been carried out relatively slowly because of the sheer amount of power needed for it, but the Hischer Fortress had enough power for such a drastic move.

The wisdom of this move was displayed when the forcefield trembled as massive asteroids the size of worlds slammed into it. The charging Titans had reached into the void, pulled out dense blocks of metallic alloys, and thrown them towards the Hischer Fortress.

If the forcefield had been delayed a fraction in its setup, the damage the fortress would have endured would have been catastrophic.

The fortress trembled, and the members of the Omicron Berserkers, all forged in battle with a powerful consciousness, knew they were under attack and the might of their attackers, and they immediately retaliated.

After a thousand battles, everyone knew their positions and the right move to make. The immortal sorcerers made the first move, a hundred Old Ones with hundreds of millions of disciples under them pooling their powers to send out spells of disintegration lance.

In the horrifying battles they had endured, only spells of this level were powerful enough to combat the adversaries they faced, and only massive formations like these could release enough power to unleash them.

Dozens of red beams burst out of the fortress, tore through space, and slammed into the Titans, shearing limbs from their colossal bodies. Blood enough to fill an ocean burst out from the Titans’ bodies, but they did not stop their movements.

A Titan, his chest and half his head ripped open by a beam of disintegration energy, merely laughed as his divine body was knitted back together. The same thing happened to the other injured Titans; their vitality was something that not even the power of disintegration could extinguish.

The void rippled with the laughter of the Titans as they grew closer to the fortress, drawing in an increasing number of attacks, in an attempt to slow down the charge of the Titans, but it was to no avail. The fortress might have quickly responded to the incoming threat, but they still needed more time to prepare their offensive.

A burst of will erupted from the Titan Ximos as he connected to his brothers and drew upon their strength. With it, he created a massive blaze blazing with purple flames that shook space for countless trillions of miles.

He roared as he pointed a dozen of his fingers towards the fortress, “TIDAL SMASH!”

A blue wave of force erupted from the bodies of the hundred Titans, channeled by Ximos to take the shape of a crescent arc, blasted towards the fortress, tearing apart the beams of disintegration before impacting into the shield, making the entire energy field light up as bright as the sun.

“BOOOM!”

Ximos was the first Titan to slam into the shield, followed by a dozen other Titans who, in the next moment, also rammed into the shield. Their momentum and weight drilled an expanding hole in the shield, and the Titans had a gateway to the fortress.

The powerful voice of Ximos blasted through space and time, shaking the entire fortress, “KILL!”

The length of the titan bodies were measured in kilometers, and when a hundred of them bypassed the forcefield of the fortress and slammed into it, the enchanted bulwarks that had held back the forces of ten thousand dimensions were shattered, as the Titans tore their way into it, their roar filled with the lust for battle and slaughter.

Ximos, at the forefront, suddenly bent his body backward from the waist, his massive body defying all rules about a creature of his size. His brothers behind him followed his lead, but five of them were too slow, and their heads rolled from their bodies. A clean, invisible strike had decapitated them.

Their hands reached weakly for their heads as vitality rushed out of their bodies faster than usual.

A Titan roared, “Immortal Champions!” even as he slammed the hilt of his great axe into the ground, sending out a massive shockwave that destabilized the space and revealed the presence of millions of immortal champions led by three hundred Old Ones clad in Celestial armor of gold and light.

There would have been a time when such Celestial metal would only decorate the bodies of higher order Angels, but those times had passed, and these Old Ones, the Immortal Champions, all wore this armor.

“Bulwark Formation! Give them time to heal.” Ximos commanded as they surrounded the wounded Titans, who were struggling to reattach or regrow their heads.

Bright, feminine laughter erupted from the central area of the fortress: “Too late… Die for the Omicron Berserkers!”

The air shivered, and above the Titan’s defensive formation, a supermassive black hole spell was cast, fueled by the will of a billion immortals.

Reality cracked and then exploded as a dozen Titans were grabbed by the event horizon of the black hole and sucked within. Their roar of rage was silenced as they were crushed into smithereens. The spell vanished, and only three Titans were left. Nine of them had not survived. They willfully gave up their vitality so that these three would be able to make it.

Ximos’ eyes grew red with rage a moment before the Fortress’s hidden central weapon activated—an ancient relic of annihilation, the design stolen from the Celestial Forge that created the Destroyers.

It was a pale imitation, but the beam of pure cosmic erasure that lanced out of it and slammed into the formation of the Titans was extremely frightening. Half of the power storage in the fortress was wiped out in an instant.

Twenty Titans were vaporized in an instant; they did not even know when they perished. A loud cheer rang out from the defenders of the fortress as the beam of annihilation continued pounding on the formation of the Titans, and their life force was winking out one by one.

Ximos was in the center of the maelstrom. Half his body had melted, but the light shining in his eyes had grown brighter. With a growl, he chanted the ancient Enochian word for slaughter, drew in a deep breath, and the beam of annihilation was drawn into his mouth, which he swallowed.

There was silence for a single beat, as the defenders could not understand what had just happened. They could only see that the body of the half-melted Titan at the center was gradually growing brighter, and then Ximos opened his mouth and unleashed destruction.

From his mouth emerged not only the beam of annihilation, but the black hole spell, the slicing wave of power that decapitated five titans, the red beams of disintegration that had been used against them from the beginning of the battle…

Ximos roared and rotated his body, his power tearing through the fortress, killing millions with every passing moment as something more terrifying began to happen.

All of the Titans that had previously perished began to return. As several waves of death energy were blasted out of Ximos’ mouth, it was as if he was returning the death that had been dealt to his brothers.

Ximos’ body also began to heal. When his roar ended, half of the fortress was destroyed, and he fell to his knees in tiredness. His brothers covered him in a defensive and healing formation to quicken his recovery, which did not take long, as six moments later, Ximos stood up.

“Forward. We wipe them out today. Origin is ours.”
