Chapter 1561: Passing Through the Exclusion Zone
The price was set by them.
In fact, other chambers of commerce would generally purchase at a higher price, but they couldn’t always secure supplies.
Swoosh!
Braydon Neal waved his hand and produced a three-meter-tall crystal.
Silver tear crystal! It stood three meters tall.
Isabel Sumner covered her mouth with her hand, stunned on the spot.
Where did Braydon get such a large piece of silver tear crystal?
This was probably worth trillions of star coins.
It was definitely a big deal.
Isabel didn’t have that many star coins on hand.
She was stunned for a long time before she came back to her senses and asked, “Where did you get this?”
After saying that, Isabel regretted it.
Such matters were private and should not be inquired about.
“I got it from a place. Give me a price,” Braydon said calmly.
Isabel quickly inspected the crystal.
After confirming there were no issues, she said, “Let me see. This silver tear crystal can be cut into thumb-sized pieces, about 7,000 to 8,000 of them!
“According to the market price, a thumb-sized silver tear crystal is worth one billion star coins. However, if sold outside, the price can increase by three to five percent!
“I’ll give you a valuation of about 8 trillion star coins!”
…
Isabel wasn’t lying.
In the cosmos, these chambers of commerce were very particular about their reputation.
There were no second chances between cultivators, especially for these chambers that did business.
Once their credibility was ruined, the entire chamber of commerce would likely go bankrupt overnight.
Swallowing customers’ goods and selling customers’ information were all red lines.
Once these red lines were crossed, the news would spread among cultivators, and the chamber of commerce would collapse.
To recover from such a crisis, a supreme figure in the universe, such as one of the eight lineages of the cosmos, would need to guarantee their integrity.
But who would vouch for a trading company?
“The price is reasonable,” Braydon said softly.
“Wait a moment. I need to contact my father for this transaction. After all, I don’t have the authority to transfer 8 trillion star coins,” Isabel said.
Isabel contacted the headquarters of the Red Frost Leaf Chamber of Commerce through the starship.
The president was her father!
The screen flickered to life.
“Have you delivered the goods?” asked a middle-aged man.
“A few more days,” Isabel replied.
“Don’t leak the news,” President Sumner said solemnly. “If you pass through the Exclusion Zone, you’ll be in big trouble!”
“I know. I saved someone in the Exclusion Zone,” Isabel began to explain.
President Sumner’s eyes filled with anger. “Ask Old Man to contact me. Someone saw our starship passing through the Exclusion Zone. You should have killed him. How dare you save him?”
“Father, he got lost in the Exclusion Zone, and he’s our guest now. Didn’t grandfather always say that the chamber of commerce must respect its guests when established in the cosmos?” Isabel countered, using her grandfather’s words as a shield.
President Sumner tried to suppress his anger.
He knew the importance of putting the customer first.
“What kind of business is this? Why can’t you make the decision?” he asked, frowning.
“Look!” Isabel pointed at the silver tear crystal, three meters tall.
President Sumner was dumbfounded. “Silver tear crystal?”
“Yes!” Isabel confirmed.
President Sumner was shocked. “Such a large piece of silver tear crystal is worth at least 7 to 8 trillion star coins. Moreover, the market for silver tear crystals has been tightening over the past thousand years. The circulation is very limited. We can definitely buy it.”
“I’ve discussed it with him. 8 trillion star coins,” Isabel stated.
President Sumner agreed.
Even if the price increased by 10%, to 9 trillion star coins, they would still make a profit. This silver tear crystal, once in their hands, would be worth more than 10 trillion star dollars through their sales channels.
Braydon wasn’t concerned with this.
If the Red Frost Leaf Chamber of Commerce had overpaid, they would have gone bankrupt long ago.
Running a chamber of commerce required making a profit.
He was no savior; it was a mutually beneficial deal.
President Sumner no longer mentioned killing Braydon.
He was now a customer of the Red Frost Leaf.
Killing him would undermine the chamber’s reputation built over tens of thousands of years, causing it to collapse overnight.
Credibility was more important than life in the cosmos’s major merchant associations.
President Sumner asked Braydon to provide an account at the Cosmos Bank so they could transfer the money.
“My account number is 12866,” Braydon said.
“A five-digit account?” President Sumner remarked, clearly intrigued.
President Sumner’s eyes were filled with shock and disbelief.
An account with pure numbers at the Cosmos Bank with only five digits was extremely rare.
In all his years, he had never encountered someone with such an account, which indicated a person of immense standing.
Seeing a young man like Braydon with such an account suggested he had a significant background.
President Sumner didn’t ask further questions.
Within 15 minutes, 8 trillion star coins were transferred into Braydon’s account.
The Cosmos Bank, although curious, didn’t dare make inquiries.
They watched the transfer in silence, aware that without Braydon’s permission, they wouldn’t dare touch a single star coin.
Offending someone of his stature was unthinkable.
Braydon sat cross-legged in his room and entered the Second Cosmos.
He had plans to make purchases.
“Ethereal Spirit, buy another batch of Saint Heart Pills!” Braydon instructed without hesitation.
These pills could help the eminent saint break through to the holy master realm.
He bought 500,000 pills at 10 million star coins each, spending a total of 5 trillion star coins.
He kept the remaining 3 trillion star coins as a reserve, knowing that traveling in the cosmos required ample funds for various expenses.
Braydon mostly stayed in his room.
The members of the Red Frost Leaf Chamber of Commerce were warned by Isabel not to trouble him, adhering to the chamber’s rules.
The silver starship flew through the Exclusion Zone at high speed.
He did not stop for a moment.
However, the Red Frost Leaf Chamber of Commerce had taken the risk of passing through the Exclusion Zone, and in the end, they had to pay the price.
In just a few days, as the starship was about to cross the Exclusion Zone, a cold and dignified voice resounded throughout the entire starship. “How dare you! How dare you trespass into the Exclusion Zone!”
The voice was like thunder, penetrating the entire starship.
“Puff!”
Everyone on the starship turned pale, bleeding from their ears.
An expert had discovered them!
“Run!” Isabel’s expression changed.
The silver starship didn’t slow down.
Instead, it sped up, trying to escape.
The crew knew that violating the race’s rules meant death.
This was an Exclusion Zone, a place where many great figures were buried.
Trespassers would likely not escape death.
The speed of the silver starship suddenly increased to the speed of light.
However, Isabel soon realized that despite the ship’s rapid acceleration, it was like a child learning to walk—it couldn’t escape from the starry sky.
“Spatial circulation!”
Isabel and the others instantly felt despair.
A major power in the path of space had set his sights on them.
There was no escape!
A scholarly middle-aged man with a cold and heartless gaze stood in the starry sky in front of them with his hands behind his back.
The silver starship stopped in front of him.
The two sides confronted each other.
Isabel looked at Braydon and smiled bitterly.
“Braydon, I’m sorry. I’m afraid I’ll drag you down today!”
