Meanwhile, in the Shadow Void Land, at the Virtual Realm sub-headquarters…

“What do we do? This can’t continue.”

Staring at the massive energy expenses, the Virtual Realm’s managers were in crisis.

Even their master, Overlord Elvian, only received a thousand units of plane origin every year.

Yet, during this time, they were spending over 30,000 units every day!

Feeling guilty and nervous, they couldn’t help but panic.

“Should we reduce the Virtual Realm’s range?”

“No! That would be even more dangerous—it could cost lives!”

What if an Absolute died because the Virtual Realm failed to reach them in time?

That alone could mean their execution.

They were only low-ranked Masters of the Ocean of Law. Without the experience managing the Virtual Realm, they’d be nothing but expendable.

“Call Lux! He should know what to do!”

Not wanting to bear the blame, the managers could only maintain the Virtual Realm’s operation while waiting for further instructions.

Unfortunately, Lux was too absorbed in battle to notice their call.

As the days passed with no response, their anxiety grew. Watching plane origin being used like spilled water made their hearts pound.

Fortunately, just when they were about to rush to the battlefield themselves to speak with Lux, Wanderer sent a follow-up order:

[Wanderer]: Don’t worry about the plane origin. Just maintain the status quo and focus on helping our fallen comrades reconstruct their bodies. All costs will be covered by the Shadowcrest family.

“Haah~ Finally, a reply!”

Relieved, they also felt a tinge of bitterness.

The Shadowcrest family really treated those powerhouses like their own kin.

Spending more plane origin than even the Overlords exchanged with all their treasures, felt very unfair.

What had these powerhouses done to earn such treatment?

“Don’t pout. Just follow orders. This is good for us too. Against the dark disaster, we’re all in this together.”

“That’s right!”

Thinking about how fortunate they were to serve under such a generous and merciful leader, their complaints quickly faded.

As long as they did their jobs well, not only would their lives be secure, their wealth would also swell, enough for them to live in luxury.

With renewed focus, they got to work, making sure everyone on the battlefield could connect to the Virtual Realm at any moment, saving lives in the nick of time.

Even if it consumed more energy, under the orders of the Shadowcrest Family, they had to save everyone.

“Haah~ So this is what it feels like to serve under true leadership…”

Outside the Aeon Plane, in the Chaotic Void…

A short while earlier—

Vamos, the herald of the Black Sigil and commander in charge of destroying the Aeon Plane, was frowning.

“What the hell happened? How could there be a Chaos Crimson Blood phenomenon now?”

Watching a section of the Aeon Plane turn deep crimson, his expression twisted.

A sudden change of the Aeon Plane means a shift in his plan.

“Hmph! This is also good, with the dark beast coming from all directions—”

“What a partial phenomenon?! How?! What kind of ridiculous luck does this plane have!?” Vamos’ expression shifted faster than light.

Instead of surrounding the Aeon Plane from all directions, the dark beast was forcibly pulled to a single location.

Watching hundreds of tier-12 dark beasts dragged into the Aeon Plane, Vamos’s heart ached.

“Damn it! All my work—ruined!”

In the past, there hadn’t even been a thousand tier-12 dark beasts near the Aeon Plane.

It wasn’t until he arrived and spent millions of years preparing that their numbers began to grow.

His plan was simple: gather at least one hundred thousand tier-12 dark beasts before the Aeon Plane’s protective barrier shattered.

But this sudden phenomenon had flushed all his work down the drain.

With numbers still a little low concentrated into a single location, if the natives of the Aeon Plane had a little preparation, they wouldn’t suffer much at all.

Gritting his teeth, Vamos watched tens of thousands of tier-12 dark beasts get sucked into the black hole of the Aeon Plane.

Fortunately, seeing its subordinates drawn into action, the Archon of Darkness, a tier-13 dark beast, finally moved.

Brandishing its massive claws, it struck at the crimson spot on the Aeon Plane, effortlessly bypassing the plane’s barrier.

Eyes wide with excitement, Vamos held his breath. He thought a hole was about to tear open in the Aeon Plane.

But what awaited him was bitter disappointment.

With a flash of light bursting from within the Aeon Plane, the Archon of Darkness abruptly pulled its claw back, as if it had unknowingly dunked it into boiling water.

“This—how is this possible?! How could a mere tier-12 plane make the Archon of Darkness recoil in fear?!”

Though it wasn’t visibly injured, the fact that it retreated meant only one thing: there was something inside the Aeon Plane that could hurt it.

Clenching his chest, Vamos forced himself to absorb the terrifying truth.

First, the failed invasion by Black Sigil operatives. Then, the coincidental chaotic phenomenon. And now, a force strong enough to threaten a tier-13 dark beast.

“This must be why the Aeon Plane was marked as a priority target by the Black Sigil,” Vamos muttered, trying to steady his racing heart.

If it had the potential to threaten the Black Sigil’s plans, then it couldn’t be allowed to grow.

The Archon of End should have foreseen this. That’s why it had ordered the Aeon Plane’s destruction before it could mature.

Finally grasping the weight of the situation, Vamos turned serious.

It seemed he severely underestimated the enemy.

Sheer numbers alone wouldn’t be enough. They needed power. They needed quality.

Glancing at the frustrated Archon of Darkness slamming against the barrier in vain, a dangerous idea lit up in his mind.

“I need to attract more tier 13 dark beasts… No—at least two more.”

Although attracting a tier 13 dark beast was risky, compared to the threat of the Aeon Plane, it was worth the gamble.

Even if it cost him his life, Vamos was ready to risk everything to see this plane fall.

Turning toward the distant Chaotic Void, he locked onto his first target.
