Everyone immediately stood up. Excitement was obvious in their eyes, while they checked that the bands worked again.
Noah immediately exited the building after that quick inspection. He did that for two reasons. To go check if the beasts had stopped fighting, and also use the secret function given to them as a reward.
On getting outside, Noah immediately noticed something, and that was silence.
Not a single roar or explosion. The city was silent. Switching his attention to the sky, Noah saw blue inscriptions flickering high above them, and he nodded.
Immediately opening the meter, he felt shocked to find that 14 humans remained in total. He clicked his tongue at that result.
Glancing at the emerging seven, Noah immediately formed an idea, but Isabella and Moses probably won't agree with it.
Gesturing at James to come closer to him, Noah was about to say something when Elder Malachi's voice rang out in the whole city.
"Good job on surviving the accident, we are pleased to inform you that all is back to normal. Although you all may find it difficult to continue due to what just happened, I advise you do so." He said.
"You all have 15 hours to eliminate each other until only ten of you are left." He concluded.
Noah simply raised an eyebrow at the man's words. It didn't bother him that elder Malachi failed to sound apologetic enough, but it did for some of the weaker experts who uttered curses at the man.
Noah laughed inwardly when he heard a few funny curses.
A few seconds passed before the air present turned heavy, and everyone knew why.

Back in Crilion...
Elder Malachi had just finished talking to the participants and he sat on his seat.
His eyes were fully on the illusory screens that displayed two scenes, but these scenes weren't of any participants, no, they were of the magical beast's dead bodies. The lion and the rat.
His face showed incredible coldness at that scene, while other VIPs, stared at the scene too. Multiple thoughts crossing their minds.
They all knew who the culprit was, or at least those that watched Noah's progression in the event, the state of the beasts was what his special dagger did to living things.
"What are we going to do about this?. It wasn't something we expected the least bit, and the royals probably won't be happy." The blue-haired man beside Elder Malachi said with his mental waves. His face revealing a frown.
Barely a second passed before Elder Malachi replied. "It's not much of a big deal, after all, it also goes along with what the royals want of the potential winners." Elder Malachi started, but his partners didn't understand, so he explained further.
"What do you do to someone that owes you?" he asked the duo. The blue-haired man immediately replied, "You make sure they pay back?" the man said, elder Malachi nodding in affirmation.
"And this young man has killed our precious magical beasts and even stolen a Mana core. This means he's indebted to us." Elder Malachi explained.
"During the period of giving out the rewards he'd have to choose between working for us or dying," Elder Malachi smiled with a cold expression.
Understanding dawned on the other two as similar cold smiles appeared on their faces. "Oh he's in for a show," the blonde-haired man who had been silent spoke.
"Though I'll have to report this to the royals first, it wouldn't be a problem since that had asked me to rope as many participants I can into working for them," Elder Malachi said picking up his communication amulet.
In another part of the VIP area, another two individuals watched the scenes of the two dead Beasts.
"Well this was unexpected," Solomon said swiping at the screen causing it to change the viewing perspective of the scene.
"He even took the Mana core," he remarked staring at the hole in the middle of the lion.
Glancing at his seat partner, he shook his head "Aren't you going to say anything Linda," he questioned.
Linda, who had a thoughtful look on her face frowned and replied to him, " Can't you read the room, I'm thinking here." she said annoyed.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I simply thought you had nothing to say," Solomon apologized, his mental voice and expression dripping with sarcasm.
Linda clicked her tongue in annoyance while shooting a death glare at him. Eventually, a sigh escaped her mouth then Solomon heard her mental voice.
"This is going to interrupt my plans, but there is nothing I can do apart from waiting to see how this ends. Though losing such an individual to the royals would pain me, I do not have much power to change things," she explained shaking her head.
"The young man would either have to join the royal army or die," she added.
"What if he manages to escape," Solomon said after a few seconds of silence.
"That would be very interesting though I doubt," Linda replied with an eyebrow raised.
In another part of the VIP area, another conversation was going on.
Polo had a smug smile on his face while he glanced at the screens portraying the dead beasts.
Glancing at his seat partner, he saw that the man didn't have any expression, he simply sat there staring at the floating screen.
"If you are expecting me to make you feel good, then you've successfully wasted your time, and besides he didn't seem to have killed the beasts with his strength just those strange daggers." Sir Oliver eventually said.
Polo immediately clicked his tongue when he heard his seat partner's words, his mental voice also sounding.
"I know, it's just that he actually killed it. Two tier-three beasts!. You have to agree with me that he is someone of value. Or did you have any such achievements when you were in that level of power," Polo started. Seeing that Oliver shook his head he continued.
"If he hadn't killed those beasts we would have been forced to kill him, but now that he has let the royals catch him in a debt, they'd either take him or kill him if he doesn't agree to their terms. Either way he'd most likely be an outcast with a secret bounty on his head. Which would make it easier for us to take him or kill him," Polo smiled.
Sir Oliver seemed to go into thoughts his mental voice ringing out a second later.
pαndα`noνɐ1--сoМ "All you've stated is true, but you always have to remember that he could actually join them, and they'll have a potential powerhouse in their midst. We all know the reason the royal family made the rewards so, was to gather powerful experts in their ranks, in case the unrest among the noble families turns into a civil war," He explained.
"We simply have to be cautious, he doesn't seem an unreasonable person, so the option to talk is always on the table," He concluded by switching the scenes to what currently happened then putting his full attention into it.
Polo glanced at his honourable seat partner who was also his friend and superior in terms of both cultivation level and political power, with a weird look.
Sir Oliver was the son of a powerful Marquess, but he had also gained popularity among the royals due to his power, causing them to crown him an earl around a century ago.
During that period he had seen and done many things which shaped his mind into someone more calmer and intuitive.
Polo nodded his head after he let those thoughts flow, 'We can also take the option of talking,' he said Inwardly, switching to the current scenes. It seemed a fight was about to happen between Noah and his team.
