Villain Ch 1071. Where Is Your Compassion?

The priestess let out another bone-chilling scream, her voice filled with rage and agony. The sound echoed off the stone walls, reverberating like nails on a chalkboard. Everyone winced.

“Yep, I was afraid of that,” Jane said casually, as if confirming her earlier suspicion. “See? This is what I was trying to avoid,” she stated.

Allen let out an exasperated sigh. “That’s it,” he said, his voice filled with resignation. “We tried talking, and it’s clearly not going anywhere. Let’s just kill her,” he huffed.

Alice grinned mischievously. “Finally, some action,” she said excitedly.

“Alright, here’s the plan,” Allen continued, his tone now sharp with focus. “Alice and Zoe, immobilize her. Shea, you’re on crowd control in case she summons any minions. The rest of us will concentrate on offense.”

Jane cringed dramatically, throwing up her hands in mock horror. “So, we’re going to gangbang a poor deaf priestess now? She’s clearly in agony! Where’s your compassion? Where’s your morality?” Her tone was theatrical, as if she were acting out a tragedy in front of a captivated audience.

Allen, Larissa, and the others shot Jane flat, unimpressed looks, their eyes collectively saying ‘Seriously? You’re joking in this situation?’

“Are you done?” Larissa asked, his voice flat.

But before anyone could respond, Alice chimed in. “Well, she kinda has a point, though,” she admitted.

Bella was about to say something in return, but before she could speak, her eyes widened in horror. She gasped audibly and pointed behind Jane. “Uh, Jane… behind you!”

The Angry Priestess had somehow crept up behind Jane, her eerie presence like that of a ghost stalking its prey. Her bloodshot eyes stared unblinkingly at Jane, her undead face twisted into a terrifying expression of rage. Blood still dripped from her ears.

Jane, oblivious, glanced over her shoulder. “Huh?” She froze when her eyes locked onto the priestess’s distorted, furious face, just inches from her own. Her demeanor shattered in an instant. Her face turned pale, and panic filled her eyes.

The priestess stood there for a moment, glaring at Jane, before raising her hand as if to strike. Allen was about to use his Telekinesis Blast. While the others also prepared to attack.

“AHHHHH!” Jane screamed, scrambling backward in terror. In her panic, she waved her hand instinctively, casting her Bone Wall skill. A wall of sharp, jagged bones erupted from the floor beneath the priestess, slamming her upward with a violent force. The priestess’s body smashed into the stone ceiling with a sickening thud, the impact so hard that dust and small bits of debris rained down from above.

The priestess screamed in pain, the wail even more chilling as her body was pinned to the ceiling. The attack had taken a significant chunk of her health—nearly a third of her HP had been wiped out in one hit.

“Oof, I bet that really hurt,” Bella said, wincing slightly as she watched the priestess hang suspended for a brief moment before falling back to the ground with a hard crash.

Shea, unable to resist the perfect opportunity, gave Jane a teasing smirk. “Where’s your compassion, Jane?” she asked, her voice dripping with sarcasm. “Where’s your morality? Didn’t you just say we were being too harsh?”

Larissa grinned as well. “Yeah, Jane, you just turned her into a pancake. I thought you were all about defending the poor, suffering priestess.”

Jane, still catching her breath from the shock, gave them a sheepish look. “Hey, I just defended myself!” she protested, her voice defensive but with a hint of embarrassment. “She snuck up on me!”

Allen rolled his eyes, his sword now glowing with dark energy as he prepared for the real fight. “Focus, everyone,” he ordered, though there was a faint trace of amusement in his voice. “This isn’t over yet.”

The priestess, though clearly injured, was far from defeated. With a roar of rage, she began to rise again, her body crackling with dark energy. Or maybe the curse. Her eyes glowed with an unnatural red light as she summoned a wave of cursed magic, and the ground beneath them to tremble.

Dark tendrils of cursed magic seeped from the cracks in the stone floor, twisting and writhing as they reached toward Allen and his team. The priestess’s scream grew louder, filled with rage and pain.

“She’s summoning something!” Zoe shouted, her tentacles flaring defensively as she readied herself for whatever was coming next.

“Shea, now!” Allen barked, his grip tightening on his sword.

Shea pulled out her harp and began strumming it. The haunting melody of her Lullaby skill filled the air. The cursed magic rose from the ground, ready to form into summoned minions, the eerie tune slowed their movements. Dark silhouettes began to emerge, twisted forms of monks and priests, but they faltered, their cursed energy weakening under the influence of Shea’s music.

One by one, they collapsed, falling into a deep sleep before they could fully manifest.

“Nice work,” Allen praised, his focus shifting back to the priestess, who had managed to stand despite the immense damage Jane had inflicted.

Larissa smirked, flicking her blood tendrils in the air as she prepared for the next phase of the battle. “Looks like we’ve got her cornered now.”

Jane, recovering from the earlier fright, stood up straighter. “Alright, I’m ready to finish this. Let’s take her down.”

Allen gave a quick nod to Alice and Zoe. “Now! Immobilize her!”

Alice’s hands moved swiftly, her fingers weaving intricate patterns in the air as she cast Shadow Bind. Dark shadows erupted from the ground beneath the priestess, coiling around her legs and arms, binding her in place. At the same time, Zoe’s tentacles lashed out, wrapping around the priestess’s torso, pinning her tightly.

The priestess struggled, her face contorted with rage as she tried to break free. But with the combined powers, it was useless. She was trapped.

“Time to finish this,” Allen said, his voice cold and decisive.
