Chapter 2683 Beating A Young Master's Master
A couple of seconds later, Meng Bai snapped out of his shock and forced himself to assess the situation.
"The River Bending Axe Sect? Aren't they one of the ruling sects of the city?" His face paled as the realization hit him. There was no mistaking it. "Master, what's happening?" he asked, anxiety creeping into his voice.
"Get inside your room," Lin Mu ordered.
"Y-yes!" Meng Bai didn't hesitate. He scurried into the room, knowing full well that he had no place in this confrontation.
He was nothing but an ant compared to the powerful cultivators standing before them.
'So many Immortal Cultivators… and even an elder. Will Master be okay?' While Meng Bai knew Lin Mu was strong, he had no idea if he could take on so many high-level experts at once. Worry twisted his stomach, making it hard to breathe.
"Oh? You have a disciple too?" Elder Nui smirked. "Looks like we can add to your punishment, then. Let's see how much your disciple can endure when we shatter his limbs and snap his spine." The old man laughed cruelly.
"That would certainly be fun to watch," another disciple sneered, while others chuckled in agreement.
"You dare?" Lin Mu's voice was calm—too calm.
But his emotions were anything but.
A seething rage surged within him, boiling just beneath the surface, threatening to erupt at any moment.
"Of course! Why wouldn't I dare!?" Elder Nui scoffed, arrogance dripping from his words.
"Then you shall share the same fate as your disciples."
From the man's threat, Lin Mu had already deduced who he was—this was the master of Chiji Ou and Jilin Tu.
"Hah! You certainly know how to joke," Elder Nui sneered, utterly unbothered.
He saw Lin Mu's words as nothing more than bravado—an empty attempt to intimidate him. He had no idea how wrong he was.
SHUA!
Lin Mu's Immortal Sense expanded, scanning the entire area in an instant. He gauged the cultivation levels of everyone present.
The elder stood at the Fifth Tribulation Stage of the Immortal Realm, while the disciples ranged between the Third and Fourth Tribulation Stages. There were ten of them in total, all gathered for what they thought would be a simple arrest.
"Then how about I give your disciples the same treatment?" Lin Mu said.
Elder Nui's expression darkened.
"You think you have the right to speak like that!? ATTACK!" the elder roared.
SHING!
But before the disciples could even react—
SLASH!
A sudden, searing pain exploded across their limbs.
"AHHHHHHHH!"
"My arm!"
"My legs!"
Lin Mu had moved faster than they could even comprehend—severing their limbs in a single, fluid motion.
Some lost their arms, others their legs. One by one, they crumpled to the ground, writhing in agony like worms.
"You!?" Elder Nui's eyes widened in horror as his disciples fell in an instant.
He couldn't believe it.
But this was just the beginning.
SHUA!
Lin Mu appeared before Elder Nui in the blink of an eye. His hand shot out, seizing the elder by the throat.
"Your turn," he said, his voice chillingly cold.
A deep, primal fear surged through Elder Nui as he locked eyes with Lin Mu.
What he saw was not a man.
It was a devil—one that had climbed out of the darkest pits of hell itself.
Fear paralyzed him, leaving him defenseless. And in that moment of hesitation, Lin Mu struck.
CRACK! RIP!
"AHHHHHHH!"
Elder Nui's left arm was wrenched from his shoulder in a gruesome display of raw strength.
Lin Mu, a formidable body cultivator, was no ordinary man. His strength was beyond human—akin to an elephant tearing a bison in half.
The pain was unbearable, but Lin Mu wasn't finished.
FWOOOSH!
A powerful kick struck the elder's thigh, severing his right leg at the hip and sending it flying into the bushes.
SWOOSH!
Without missing a beat, Lin Mu stepped back and ripped off the elder's remaining leg.
The limb spun through the air before crashing against the roof of Meng Bai's room, sliding down with a wet squelch.
"AH!"
Meng Bai recoiled in horror.
He had been secretly peeking from his window, only to witness the gruesome sight firsthand. The severed leg landed right in front of him.
CRACK!
Meng Bai flinched as Lin Mu grabbed the elder's last remaining arm—then crushed it with his bare fingers.
With a sickening rip, the mangled limb was torn away, its remains splattering across Lin Mu's roof.
Elder Nui barely had time to process the loss of one limb before the rest had followed.
"ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
His bloodcurdling scream filled the courtyard as the pain finally registered.
His mind reeled. Was this reality?
The horror before him was so overwhelming, so impossible, that his mind refused to accept it.
Am I in an illusion?
Surely, this couldn't be real.
But his body knew the truth.
A distinct, pungent smell filled the air—one unmistakably coming from his pants.
Lin Mu stared into the elder's terrified eyes.
"Now… what will you do?" he asked coldly.
But the elder could not answer.
He clenched his eyes shut, too afraid to even meet Lin Mu's gaze, as if doing so would somehow make this nightmare disappear.
It didn't.
His broken, mutilated body was proof of that.
Then, without warning, his mind could take no more. The agony, the terror—it was too much.
Elder Nui passed out, his body slumping in Lin Mu's grasp.
"Pathetic," Lin Mu muttered, releasing his grip.
The elder's limp body crashed to the bloodstained ground.
Lin Mu exhaled slowly, surveying the aftermath. The courtyard was drenched in crimson, littered with severed limbs and corpses.
He sighed.
'Cleaning this up is going to be a pain.'
With a wave of his hand—
SHUA!
The dismembered bodies floated into the air, gathering into a single, grisly mass. Lin Mu's Fifth Spatial Skill: Meld held them firmly in place.
Without another word, he turned and shot into the sky—heading straight for Ram Orchard City.
So far Meng Bai had seen Lin Mu's kindness, but tonight he had witnessed his fury.
