YUAN’S ASCENSION

Chapter 854: First In The Divine Court (3)

“Let’s go. We’ll head straight to Taiyuan Island, where you can meet your companions,” Overlord Xin Ya smiled. “They will be your most reliable partners on the Megaverse Crossroads. You’ll train on Taiyuan Island until the True Saint summons you.”

“Companions? A dozen of them?” Wu Yuan felt curious.

From the earlier information, he only knew that Taiyuan Island was the residence of the Taiyuan Divine Court’s most elite geniuses.

Whoosh~ A spatial tunnel appeared in the distance, and Overlord Xin Ya led Wu Yuan into it.

Emerging from the spatial tunnel, a vast island stretched out before Wu Yuan’s eyes. It was likely hundreds of millions of li in width, rivaling the Spacetime Island.

Waves rippled around the island’s perimeter. The island itself was dotted with numerous halls, growing larger in size but fewer in number towards the center.

So this is Taiyuan Island? Wu Yuan thought, sensing a mysterious aura enveloping the entire island. It was very similar to the Spacetime Island.

The Spacetime Island was created by the Spacetime Dao Master. Wu Yuan mused. This Taiyuan Island must have been forged by True Saint Taiyuan. As fellow supreme beings, it must be equally extraordinary.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Wu Yuan followed behind Overlord Xin Ya as they headed toward the island’s depths.

This scene immediately caught the attention of many High Immortals and High Deities on the island.

The High Immortals and High Deities training here were all extraordinarily talented, with Dao comprehension at the late-stage Astral Lord level at least. At this moment, all of them were looking up at the two figures flying overhead.

Overlord Xin Ya? Most High Immortals and High Deities had never seen him, only sensing his boundless aura and deducing he must be a Sovereign.

However, Wu Yuan’s vital aura indicated he was merely a High Immortal.

“A High Immortal, able to fly at an altitude of ten thousand li?”

“Only those who’ve passed level ninety-five of the seven-star tower can fly in the restricted zone, right?”

“Who is that?” These High Immortals and High Deities were astonished.

As core members of the Saintdom, any one of them was considered a top-tier genius in their macrocosm. This was precisely why they understood what a rare sight this was.

Clearing level one hundred of the six-star tower or level ninety of the seven-star tower allowed one to fly at an altitude of three thousand li.

Clearing level ninety-five of the seven-star tower allowed one to fly at an altitude of ten thousand li.

On all of Taiyuan Island, those qualified to fly at an altitude of ten thousand li could be counted on one’s fingers.

“I’ve never seen him before!”

“Who is that?” These High Immortals and High Deities were puzzled. Such a figure with Sovereign potential would definitely be a prominent character on Taiyuan Island, admired and followed by countless Taiyuan Island members.

“I found it, the Taiyuan Island’s information database was just updated! It’s Ming Jian! Ming Jian!” exclaimed a High Immortal High Deity.

“The Ming Jian who has been training on the Spacetime Island?”

“According to the information, Ming Jian has already cleared level one hundred from the one-star tower to six-star tower, and even cleared level ninety-five of the seven-star tower,” the High Immortal read out. ȐÄΝôꞖĘs

The High Immortals and High Deities on the island were astounded.

Most had heard of Ming Jian, and knew he was an extremely young prodigy training in the Spacetime Dao Realm, with an incredible cultivation speed. But none of them had imagined that he would be this extraordinary upon returning to Taiyuan Island.

Level ninety-five of the seven-star tower? This meant Ming Jian’s Dao comprehension had reached the late-stage Astral Monarch level.

“Reaching the late-stage Astral Monarch level after training for just over ten thousand years? Isn’t that almost on par with Wu Yuan from the Eldritch Court?” a High Deity marveled.

They didn’t doubt the accuracy of Taiyuan Island’s information, simply feeling astonished.

The news of Ming Jian clearing level ninety-five of the seven-star tower and arriving at Taiyuan Island spread like wildfire among the million geniuses on Taiyuan Island.

“Ming Jian?”

“He’s here?”

“They say he has never trained on Taiyuan Island before, having been sent to the Spacetime Dao Realm when he was very young.” Countless geniuses on Taiyuan Island discussed after receiving the news.

“Ming Jian? Who knew that he’d be such a prominent figure even on Taiyuan Island upon his arrival.” In an inconspicuous hall on the island, the black-robed Nie Zhen sighed upon hearing the news.

His Dao comprehension had reached the early-stage Astral Monarch level, and he was previously a core member of the Taiyuan Divine Court faction on the Spacetime Island.

But among the million geniuses on Taiyuan Island, he was far from being a top figure. The prominent figures of Taiyuan Island were the few monstrous prodigies who had cleared level ninety-five of the seven-star tower.

Wu Yuan was unaware that his arrival had caused such a commotion on Taiyuan Island.

“Level ninety-five of the seven-star tower?” Wu Yuan was slightly startled after accessing his own profile. He hadn’t challenged the Seven Star Luminaries Tower in over ten thousand years.

“Don’t worry about it. The Seven Star Luminaries Tower is just a benchmark for the countless geniuses of the divine court headquarters,” Overlord Xin Ya smiled. “You have already proven your strength, so it’s as good as having cleared it. There’s no need to waste time actually attempting it.”

Understanding dawned on Wu Yuan.

Level ninety of the seven-star tower required mid-stage Astral Monarch-level Dao comprehension to clear.

Level ninety-five required late-stage Astral Monarch-level Dao comprehension at minimum to have a chance of clearing.

Each subsequent level grew increasingly difficult.

My qi refiner self should be able to clear level ninety-eight or ninety-nine now. Wu Yuan pondered.

He hadn’t tried it yet. Clearing level one hundred of the seven-star tower would truly designate one as a Supreme Genius.

“We’re here.” Overlord Xin Ya quickly descended with Wu Yuan, arriving at the tallest part of the entire island.

The halls here were particularly massive, more like hall complexes. Each hall complex stretched for over ten thousand li.

Thirteen hall complexes? Wu Yuan’s gaze swept across them, simultaneously sensing that twelve of these hall complexes were occupied.

“Come out and welcome the newcomer.” Overlord Xin Ya’s voice was deep, echoing through heaven and earth. It easily penetrated the barriers of these halls, yet those uninvolved did not hear this mighty voice at all.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Both male and female figures quickly flew out from these hall complexes, some appearing to be transformed beasts. All were High Immortals or High Deities, each with extraordinary auras.

To Wu Yuan, they all seemed comparable to High Immortal Nan Yin, and even if weaker, it wasn’t by much. Several even appeared stronger than her. There were a dozen of them in total.

By now, Wu Yuan understood that these twelve High Immortals and High Deities must be the top twelve geniuses of this generation in the Taiyuan Divine Court.

Leading the group were a young woman in purple robes and a tiger-headed muscular man in black robes.

“Greetings, Overlord.” The twelve High Immortals and High Deities bowed respectfully.

It seemed a true Supreme Genius had yet to emerge among these geniuses, but having such Dao comprehension at the High Immortal/High Deity phase meant they had high hopes of becoming Sovereigns in the future. Only thus would they qualify to receive the Overlord’s personal guidance.

“Ming Jian, these are your twelve companions,” Overlord Xin Ya said.

Immediately, all twelve High Immortals and High Deities looked at Wu Yuan curiously.

“This is Ming Jian, whom I’ve often mentioned to you, a prodigy comparable to Yu Xiang of the Desolation Divine Court and Wu Yuan of the Eldritch Court,” Overlord Xin Ya looked down at the twelve geniuses. “I believe you’ve all watched the battle footage.”

“Ming Jian?”

“He’s Ming Jian?” These twelve geniuses had clearly all heard of Ming Jian’s name.

“Ming Jian has only cultivated for over ten thousand years, previously training at the Spacetime Island in the Spacetime Dao Realm, showcasing brilliant talent,” Overlord Xin Ya continued. “In terms of natural talent, none of you come close to him.

“In terms of strength, he’s likely the strongest among you.”

The statement prompted visible reactions in a few individuals.

Talent? They could accept this, as Ming Jian had only cultivated for over ten thousand years, while the individual with the shortest cultivation period among them had cultivated for over three hundred thousand years.

But to say he was also the strongest? This wasn’t enough to convince these proud geniuses.

“Not convinced?” A hint of amusement tinged Overlord Xin Ya’s voice: “If you have any disagreement, you’re welcome to step forward and test my claim for yourself. In our divine court headquarters, strength has always spoken for itself.

“As I’ve said before, the top three in strength will have the privilege of receiving gifts from headquarters before entering the Megaverse Crossroads.” Overlord Xin Ya’s gaze swept across the assembly of prodigies: “Who wishes to test Ming Jian’s strength?”

Wu Yuan remained perfectly calm.

He understood that Overlord Xin Ya was using him to teach these prodigies a lesson. However, if he lost, he would be the one being taught a lesson.

Silence fell over the gathering.

“None of you are willing?” Overlord Xin Ya’s gaze swept across them once more: “Very well, from this day onward, you shall all address Ming Jian as Great Senior Brother.”

“Overlord, I am willing to try!” A cold voice rang out, belonging to a young High Deity clad in black armor.

“Xiang Wei?” Overlord Xin Ya smiled faintly: “You are brave indeed. Very well, you shall be the first to face Ming Jian in battle.”

Whoosh! Overlord Xin Ya waved his hand, tearing open space to reveal a vast grotto-heaven world.

“Ming Jian, do you dare accept the challenge?” Overlord Xin Ya looked toward Wu Yuan.

Silence.

Swish! Wu Yuan’s form blurred as he entered the grotto-heaven world. Only then did he smile. “Ming Jian shall gladly learn from Brother Xiang Wei’s expertise.”
