Sun Chongshan was ecstatic to hear this, and he hurriedly promised, "I'll tell you everything you want to know, Senior!"

"Where did you get this Yama Cauldron from?" Han Li asked.

"I found it in a set of ruins in the Heavenfall Immortal Region," Sun Chongshan replied.

"The Heavenfall Immortal Region?" Han Li asked as he raised an eyebrow.

He had never heard of this immortal region before.

"It's a very small immortal region that's very sparse in spiritual power and resources, so the Heavenly Court hasn't bothered to set up a teleportation array there. As a result, very few people are aware of its existence. I only stumbled into it by chance as I was swallowed up by a spatial rift while fleeing from an enemy of mine," Sun Chongshan explained.

"You're certainly being very candid," Han Li remarked.

"I wouldn't dare to lie or keep anything from you, Senior," Sun Chongshan replied in a submissive manner.

"I see the words 'Yama Manor' engraved on the cauldron. Do you know of this place?" Han Li asked.

That inscription of Yama Manor was precisely why he had developed such a keen interest in the cauldron.

Following his return from his previous transmigration, he had searched extensively for information about this Yama Manor but to no avail, and never had he imagined that he would stumble upon a lead here.

"I'm afraid I've never heard of this place. Perhaps it's a certain place in the Heavenfall Immortal Region," Sun Chongshan replied.

Han Li's brows furrowed slightly upon hearing this, and he turned to Weeping Soul, who gave him a slight nod.

"You've answered my questions truthfully, so I'll hold up my end of the bargain and spare your life. Stay here for now, and I'll get you to take me to the Heavenfall Immortal Region sometime in the near future. After that, you're free to go," Han Li said.

"Thank you, Senior!" Sun Chongshan hurriedly replied in a grateful manner.

Han Li swept a sleeve through the air, and Sun Chongshan instantly fell to the ground in an unconscious state.

After that, Han Li began examining the rest of the dark red space, and his gaze fell upon the six stone plaques around the plaza.

"These plaques are quite remarkable. I wonder what type of law powers they contain that allow them to resurrect the dead," Weeping Soul said with an intrigued look on her face.

"There are supposedly three thousand laws under the Great Dao, but in reality, there are far too many to count, so there's no way anyone can recognize all of them. By the way, you were saying that there's an interesting person here, were you referring to Sun Chongshan?"

"No, I was talking about her," Weeping Soul said as she pointed at the red-robed woman, and Han Li was rather taken aback to see this.

"Her soul is different from that of a normal person in that it harbors a strange, deathly aura, which we now know is because of these six stone plaques," Weeping Soul explained.

"This cauldron isn't really something I can fully make use of. Seeing as you're interested in it, you can have it. Also, make sure to keep an eye on Sun Chongshan," Han Li said as he swept a sleeve through the air, sending a ball of dark red light flying into Weeping Soul's body.

"Thank you, Master," Weeping Soul replied in an ecstatic manner.

With Sun Chongshan restrained, Han Li didn't linger here any longer, returning directly to his room on the ship with Weeping Soul, who sat down with her legs crossed in the room to examine the Yama Cauldron, as opposed to returning to the Flower Branch domain.

The Golden Astral Winds were still raging outside, but the flying boat had already flown through the worst of the storm and was gradually speeding up.

After close to another month, the flying boat finally emerged from the storm of Golden Astral Wind and resumed travel at its normal speed.

Ten years flew by in a flash, and the destination of Nine Origins City was finally in sight.

Even though Han Li had already seen many enormous and majestic cities in the past, he still couldn't help but be stunned by the sight of Nine Origins City.

The first impression that the city gave him was that its was incredibly tall. Its walls were hundreds of thousands of feet tall, resembling an insurmountable barricade that stood between heaven and earth, while the city itself resembled a gargantuan beast in a state of slumber.

The city also stretched on for even farther than Han Li's eyes could see, with its borders encompassing several nearby mountain ranges.

The city was filled with countless streets that were packed people, presenting an incredibly lively and bustling sight to behold.

After taking a deep breath, Han Li sat back down in his room with his legs crossed, while the flying boat descended into the city.

An hour later, he emerged from a tall pagoda in the city and quickly vanished into the crowd on the street.

Yu Menghan emerged from the same pagoda shortly thereafter before looking around with an expectant expression, as if she were searching for someone, but in the end, a disappointed look appeared on her face as she departed.

Han Li was making his way quickly through the crowd, and even though this was his first time in Nine Origins City, he was racing along without any hesitation.

Wyrm 3 had already told him where in Nine Origins City he needed to go, so he had no hesitation in where he needed to be.

The street was lined with large shops that sold all types of wares, including immortal treasures, pills, and materials, and the city was thriving even more than Gilded City.

On top of that, the city was particularly lively, even more so than usual, as if preparations were underway for some type of festive event.

Han Li was rather intrigued to see this, but he continued onward without pause.

This was the territory of the Nine Origins Temple, and even though he couldn't sense anyone conducting surveillance on him, there was no telling how many people were currently scrutinizing him from the shadows.

According to Wyrm 3, the place that had been arranged for him to stay was the safest place in the city, while extra vigilance was required everywhere else he went.

Close to half a day later, Han Li arrived in an alley on the edge of the city, inside which was a small inn with its doors tightly shut.

He carefully inspected the main entrance of the inn, particularly a stone lion at the entrance, and a faint smile appeared on his face as he strode over to the doors before knocking on them in a certain rhythm.

"Who is it?"

A lazy voice rang out from inside, but the doors remained shut.

"Are there still any vacant rooms left? I want to stay here," Han Li replied while continuing to knock in the same rhythm.

Only after Han Li stopped knocking did the doors slowly swing open, and a boy who appeared to be in his mid-teens poked his head out from inside, sizing up Han Li as he asked, "You want to stay here?"

"That's right, I'm here to conduct some business in Nine Origins City, and I'm going to be staying here for half a year," Han Li replied, following a predesignated script.

"In that case, please come in."

The boy's eyes lit up slightly as he opened the door wider to allow Han Li to enter, then immediately closed the doors behind him.

Han Li stepped into a small courtyard, and as soon as he did so, he felt as if he had entered a special space, clearly indicating the presence of special restrictions around the inn.

He followed the boy to a room in the inn, where a portly, middle-aged man was going through some account books while clacking away on an abacus.

"We have a guest, shopkeeper," the boy declared.

The shopkeeper dismissed the boy, then closed the door and asked, "May I ask your name and how long you're planning to stay?"

"My name is Han Li, and I'm planning to stay here for half a year," Han Li replied as he pulled out his crimson mask to show the shopkeeper for a split second, then immediately stowed it away again.

This was also all part of the script.

"Welcome, Senior Han, Senior Wyrm 3 has already notified me of your arrival," the shopkeeper said as a fawning smile appeared on his face.

"Is Fellow Daoist Wyrm 3 here?" Han Li asked.

"No, but she's asked me to inform you that she'll be here to meet with you and discuss the contents of the mission soon," the shopkeeper replied.

"Alright, I'll wait here for her then," Han Li replied with a nod, and the shopkeeper led him deeper into the inn.

After rounding a few corners, they arrived at a small courtyard that was very tidy and quiet.

Han Li gave a pleased nod, and the shopkeeper said, "You must be weary from your long journey, so I'll leave you to rest, Senior Han. If you need anything, then ring the little bell in the courtyard. I'll be taking my leave now."

"Hold on, don't go just yet, there's something that I want to ask you," Han Li said.

The shopkeeper faltered slightly upon hearing this, then said, "Go ahead, Senior, I'll be sure to answer your questions to the best of my abilities."

"I noticed that there seems to be a celebration taking place in the city. Is something happening?" Han Li asked.

"Have you not heard, Senior Han? The immortal envoys of the Heavenly Court are going to personally visit the Nine Origins Temple to present thirty-six spots to attend the Bodhi Banquet, and the entire city is preparing for the occasion," the shopkeeper replied in a surprised manner.

"Is that right? I've been busy with cultivation of late, so I haven't heard about this. I'm aware of the Bodhi Banquet, but what's the deal with the thirty-six spots that you mentioned?" Han Li asked.

"The Bodhi Banquet is the most highly anticipated event of the Heavenly Court, and countless people wish to be in attendance, but only those who are granted spots by the Heavenly Court are entitled to attend. Prior to the commencement of each edition of the Bodhi Banquet, the Heavenly Court releases spots to all of the major immortal regions for the powers within those immortal regions to compete for.

“Our greater Golden Origin Immortal Region has been presented with thirty-six spots, and all of the noteworthy powers of the immortal region will be gathering in Nine Origins City to compete for those spots," the shopkeeper explained.

"I see. When will the immortal envoys be arriving in Nine Origins City?" Han Li asked.

"There's no exact date stipulated, but it should be soon," the shopkeeper replied.

Han Li nodded in response, then asked a few more related questions before dismissing the shopkeeper.

After that, he made his way into the inner room of the courtyard and habitually set up several layers of restrictions before sitting down with a contemplative look on his face.

Wyrm 3 had asked him to arrive in Nine Origins City within thirty years, which coincided with the timing of the arrival of the Heavenly Court immortal envoys, so the Reincarnation Palace mission most likely had something to do with competing for the thirty-six spots.

After contemplating the matter for some time, Han Li shook his head to rid himself of the train of thought, then cast his gaze deep into the Nine Origins City.

Wait for me for just a little longer, Jin Tong.
