Shi Lang followed Aluwa inside the ocean with Amelia’s body in his arms. The queen of Meryl’s brought them into the city of Meryls. She said, “I hope you conduct yourself with grace.”

Shi Lang nodded, he could tell that even though he held no ill-intention against the natives, but he was an outsider and the people here might have some stigmas and bias against him or his species.

They entered the city through the arched gateway, and found a world made up of coral. The entire place was made up of rare ocean resources, it was a spectacle, he said, “You have a beautiful home, Your Majesty.”

Shi Lang nodded, he was looking at the Queen and she continued speaking, “We need to summon all the people from the city. Please wait, I will gather them all.”

The Terran nodded and stood waiting silently, his heart was filled with doubt, because he had no idea if the lady was really a being that was helping him selflessly. What if she were to scheme against them? Although it was just a conjecture, but he still couldn’t help but doubt her.

The young man took a deep breath to calm his mind and decided to ask the Queen something when she returned. The wait didn’t last for long, she came over after a few minutes, followed by twelve different Meryl women. Apart from Aluwa, the rest of the people were slightly wary of Shi Lang.

Aluwa said, “You can place the vessel in the center of the square and then we will begin the ritual.”

Shi Lang held Amelia in his arms as Aluwa said, “The Meryls are unlike any other species, in order to get liberated from the cycle of life and death, we toil. The only way of liberation is to help another soul. We have healed many soul injuries and even located lost souls, but this is the first time when we are going to locate the lost soul and bring it back. The people behind me are all the eldest ones of our race, this ritual will be a chance for them. So, please believe me, we have no malice, and only seek liberation through you.”

Shi Lang was surprised to hear this, but then he nodded and agreed to go ahead. The gamble was on. He watched Aluwa carry the lifeless vessel through the circle of the elder Meryls and place it in the center of the circle.

Aluwa bit her index finger with her teeth and opened a small wound on it as she said, “I will draw the seal of souls. Meryl blood is naturally attracted towards souls. Pass me something that belonged to her.”

Shi Lang took out a hair from his space ring, this was stored in the Asura hall in the past to record the DNA sequence of the members, which allowed them to pass through various security checks. Shi Lang asked, “What would have you done if I didn’t have this strand?”

He held the strand of hair very gently as if it was the most precious jade sculpture of the world. Aluwa smiled and said, “Then I would have asked for her memories that you have.”

Shi Lang nodded and invoked the supreme seal. The pressure in the void bypassed him as if a stone in a river. The Terran sensed that the pressure was sourced from the accumulation of the soul energy in the void. Shi Lang closed his eyes to comprehend the Dao of soul once more.

Aluwa stood beside the vessel and she was surprised to see him acting like this. She knew that he was a supreme because the aura radiating from him could not escape her insights, but to see how he was grasping the knowledge like this, it was shocking. She mumbled, “Perhaps, he rose to this level because of this thirst for knowledge.”

She joined her hands in a seal and said, “Heed the call, and gather to rise again.”

In the far east of the immortal plane, a dozen of men were sitting crossed legs around a lush peach tree. This tree was the place where Amelia’s ashes were scattered. The tree was a towering existence, and a place that was under constant protection of the Asura Hall black guards.

These disciples were commanded by Archie Arkham, and they had only one command, if anyone dared to step five miles near the peach tree, they would be slayed. The martial council also paid great attention to this matter and they watched it all from a distance.

Shi Lang didn’t know how much time has passed, the Meryl’s were chanting constantly and he could recite it along them now, Aluwa was dancing around the vessel making various seals and sounds came from her mouth. After watching for a few minutes, Shi Lang sensed something and he looked at the side and spotted a dozen of Cherry Blossom leaves floating through the void.

The city of Meryl’s was also filled with water, but the water here was as thin as air. Shi Lang sensed his heartbeats fasten, the leaves moved closer to the young man and they circled him. He uttered, “Amy.”

One of the leaves drew close to his cheek and caressed it as if Amelia was using her hand to touch him, and Shi Lang shivered, his breathing fastened, and just when he was about to reach out and touch the leaves they floated over to the center of the circle and began to revolve around the vessel on the ground.

Shi Lang was breathing very fast and his chest was heaving up and down. Aluwa fastened her dance and the leaves began to emit a little glow. The Terran could sense a familiar presence emitting from them, he clenched his fist and held himself back from running over to the circle.

Aluwa made the last seal, the tips of her ring fingers and thumbs touched each other while the rest of the fingers were extended outwards, and the lady said, “Rise!”
