Shi Lang heard Aluwa shout, “Rise!”

His hair stood on their ends as he sensed all the soul energy in the region was drifting toward the brow of the vessel on the ground. The elders around the vessel started chanting in louder voices, but the speed of the chants had increased and their words sounded more obscure than before.

However, Shi Lang had given up on observing anything else. All his attention was focused on the vessel of his wife, that was emitting a subtle glow, his heart was beating like a war drum. Raksha materialized beside him, she clenched her fists, in this situation she was the most stressed entity.

The reason was simple, while she was happy that Amelia was waking up, and coming back to life, but she was worried that if anything went wrong, Shi Lang would loose it. After a few minutes, the glow emitting from Amelia had risen to the peak. Shi Lang watched the scene while holding his breath. Aluwa used spiritual communication and said, “Call her name, give her a reason to wake up.”

Shi Lang reacted instantly, “Amy.”

As he said the word he took a step forward, he could see how Amelia’s fingers twitched a little. With each moment, Shi Lang’s heart beat increased once more. He felt as if his heart would explode, and he took a deep breath as he called out again, “Amy, wake up, please.”

His voice was soft, as if he was tired. These calls to wake her up from the dead, were draining him. That was the mystery of souls. Shi Lang was drained with just two calls and he heard Aluwa say, “Don’t call her verbally, you will be hooked and drawn into the soul land yourself. Call her with your heart, and use your conviction. Your soul will resonate with her.”

Shi Lang took a deep breath and in his mind he thought of Amelia sitting beside him as they enjoyed their honeymoon back in the day. His heart beat calmed down and then he said, “Amy.”

His call was soft as if a whisper, but Amelia’s arm twitched and her eyelids flickered a little. The Terran was inching closer to the circle of the elders, before he called her for the fourth time, “Amy wake up, I am tired of staying alone.”

At this moment, Amelia opened her eyes, and Shi Lang felt the world stop. The young man looked at the eyes that reflected the endless ocean in them, seeking the familiar feeling that he got from looking in the eyes of his wife. Although he had refined the body together with the essence of the five elements.

He took a deep breath and looked at Aluwa, who let out a sigh and said, “Give her a few hours to recollect her memories, whatever of them is left behind.”

Shi Lang frowned when Raksha said, “You can impart memories of the past, and it will help her recover.”

Thinking about it Shi Lang calmed down and watched from the distance.

Amelia opened her eyes and she was surrounded by water, unlike how normal people would react with shock or panic, she was numb, because she didn’t know where she was or what was she surrounded with. Looking around slowly, she saw a few people standing around her, they were mumbling things that she couldn’t understand.

The lady closest to her smiled and said, “Close your eyes, and look inside, there, you will find the answers of some of your questions.”

Amelia closed her eyes and a few breaths later, a strong pain assaulted her, it was as if her head was inflated with information that belonged to her but at the same time it was foreign. Subconsciously, she rejected to believe that all this was true, however, just when she was about to open her eyes, she recalled the voice of a person.

This voice echoed in her eyes but shook her heart. She knew that this voice came from someone whom she held very close, she could feel the pain it carried, and she couldn’t help but focus on this part of her memory only.

The moments of her demise, when she was trying to put up a fight against Juan Xuan replayed in her mind like a loop. When Juan Xuan kicked her and disrespected her, a sense of rage developed in her heart, she wanted to find this man and kill him.

She felt as if the flames cast by Juan Xuan were burning her soul once again. However, a figure appeared before her, his worried face, and tearing eyes shocked her, she forgot the pain in her heart and was worried by his pain.

The man before her was weeping with tears of blood, Amelia could sense that his soul was tearing apart in pieces. Then she saw how the young man sat beside a cherry tree. How he tortured him for days, then weeks, and finally months.

Her eyes were closed but tears were leaking through unbothered, she couldn’t say why but she could feel his love for her, it was so intense and pure that it caused her to be drawn to him.

She tried to recall his name, but it didn’t come to her, however, she didn’t give up, at this moment she heard a soft whisper, “Amy..”

Her entire being was jolted and she replied to the whisper, “Lang.”

Her memories worked up and she realized the name of the young man, and at this moment, she finally believed that she died but then she was brought back to life, she sat up with e reflex and she called the name out loud, “Lang!”

Shi Lang, who was waiting for her to wake up, he yelled, “Amy, I am here! Don’t worry, I am here!”

Amelia opened her tearing eyes, turned to look at the source of the voice, she saw the same face that existed in her memories, the same excited voice reverberated in her heart and she couldn’t help but chuckle as she smiled, turning her eyes into crescents and she said, “Fool, I am here.”

They were both telling each other that they were no longer alone, that their struggle with the darkness has come to an end.
