Chapter 1867 - 1867: Hidden Movement

The Gondar Alliance’s Main Base

The Gondar Alliance comprised five factions: the Goldencreek Kingdom, the Lumenior Kingdom, the Walvern Kingdom, the Ennear Kingdom, and the Albersia Kingdom.

The five kingdoms lived in peace and worked together as an alliance to conquer more worlds under their alliance. That was right, their desire for a new world was bigger than getting more resources from the dimensional tower.

The moment they found out that Earth was a new world with unbalanced power and a strained relationship between the ruling factions, they immediately made a plan to take over Earth. They had set up the first step, making the Etherna Alliance and The Valuer Empire focus on the Earth Alliance, targeting the factions from Earth inside the dimensional tower while concealing their main purpose.

While the Earth Alliance was busy fighting off the Valuer Empire and The Etherna Alliance, they would sneak to Earth and take over. The second step was they needed to persuade one of the factions from the Earth to bring them to Earth.

It would be hard if Earth only had a few factions, but the fact that the Tang Empire had more than fifty factions. The second step would be easier than the first one, and the third step would be easier than the second step.

And today, each representative from the five kingdoms was holding a meeting to decide which faction they would use to conquer Earth. They needed access to Earth, and they needed to convince one of the factions to join their side.

“I think it’s easier to convince Igmar of the Kingdom of Sand than the other factions. From what we know, their king holds a grudge against several factions,” Isa of the Goldencreek Kingdom brought out a name.

Igmar had been active, convincing them to choose the United Alliance over the Earth Alliance. That was when they found out that Earth was a new world, and they wanted to take advantage of the discord to enter Earth.

The representatives from the four kingdoms agreed immediately. They even had a list of smaller factions that would be easily persuaded by them. However, they would rather have a big faction as it would make things easier for them.

“So, how many God Ranks should we send to Earth?” Isa continued with their second topic. It was to decide how many people they should send to Earth.

Raka, the representative of the Albersia Kingdom responded, “We need more than six God Ranks for sure in case The Valuer Empire and the Etherna Alliance fail to keep the five God Ranks from the Tang Empire inside the tower.”

“What about if we double the number? We send 12 God Ranks to Earth. That should be more than enough,” The Walvern Kingdom’s representative, Semesa, voiced his opinion.

“Let’s play this safe and clean. We should send 20 God Ranks, and each kingdom sends four God Ranks for the mission,” The Ennear Kingdom’s representative, Karavi, upped the number.

Isa was the first one to agree with Karavi, “I agree with Karavi. We don’t know if the Tang Empire had an ally outside Earth. If it’s up to me, I will go for thirty, but we can’t wait for too long. We can’t let the others find out what we planned.”

The other representatives voiced their agreement one by one after Isa. They agreed to send four God Ranks from each kingdom, and they immediately sent the message back to each King. The five representatives lack the authority to make the final decision. The final decision would fall in the hands of the respective king.

If two or more kings disagreed, then they had to go for the vote for the final decision. If all five kings had different opinions on the agreement they had agreed on, then they would continue the meeting to find a better solution.

The method to make the decision was inefficient, but they had been doing it for years in the Gondar Alliance. It worked so far, so they did not change it.

“The Lumenior Kingdom agrees and is ready to send four God Ranks for the mission,” The Lumenior Kingdom’s representative, Murray, was the first one to voice out his King’s decision.

It was then followed by the remaining four kingdoms, and the meeting ended with a decisive result. This was why The Gondar Alliance did not look for a more efficient way to make a decision. The method worked fine for them as most of the time, the five kings rarely disagreed with the decision their representative had agreed on.

“Let’s discuss how we are going to approach The Kingdom of Sand…”

The meeting continued with a more detailed plan.

Hubert was accompanied by Garnet and three more attendants making their way to the Earth Area in the city, the north of the city. They covered themselves with a white cloak, making sure their visit went unnoticed.

He deliberately did not include Matheo and Franck in the meeting. He was afraid that they would slip out and ruin the negotiation under The Emperor’s provocation. It was similar to what happened in the alliance meeting before, and he believed The Valuer Empire became the first target because of what happened during the meeting.

In order to smooth the negotiation, he decided to leave Matheo and Franck behind. He had sent a messenger to meet with the Tang Empire’s Emperor, and their request for a meeting was granted. No one stopped them from entering the Earth Area, and they easily found their way to the Tang Empire’s base. Following the instructions from the message, they quickly found the building they were told to come to.

There were four guards at the entrance, and Hubert pulled off the cloak to show his face, “I am Hubert from the Valuer Empire, and we are here to meet Emperor Tang Shaoyang.”

He made sure to address Tang Shaoyang’s title properly this time.

“Follow me!” The guard nodded and led the five into the building. It was just a two-floor building, and they were led to the second floor. The guard opened the door, “His Majesty is waiting inside.”

Hubert and Garnet exchanged glances for a brief moment, and they nodded before entering the room. The room was not that big, and The Emperor was sitting behind the table, looking at them with his crimson-colored eyes.

In their first meeting, Hubert and Garnet felt nothing toward The Emperor. This time was different, their hearts raced at the sight of the Emperor. The Emperor in front of them had another identity which was the Executive Administrator. Even though they could not feel the man’s aura, they could not help but feel nervous.

Tang Shaoyang pointed at the seat across from him, “Take a seat and get to the point of what you want to talk about with me. I don’t have much time to waste on nonsense.”

Hubert and Garnet quickly reached the chair while the three attendants stood behind them, “We are sorry for disturb…” Hubert’s voice trailed off as he noticed Tang Shaoyang squinted his eyes at him. The old man could tell that The Emperor was annoyed at him, and he was reminded that The Emperor told him to get to the point.

“My name is Hubert, and on behalf of The Valuer Empire, I would like to apologize for what happened in the alliance meeting, we would like to make amends for our mistake and foster a good relationship with the Tang Empire from now on.”

Tang Shaoyang narrowed his eyes after hearing what the old man said. He thought the Valuer Empire wanted to bail out the God Rank he caught. Never crossed his mind that they would apologize. He expected an outrageous demand to release the God Rank he captured, and he thought of getting one or maybe squished two God Rank equipment from the Valuer Empire.

“In order to show our sincerity, we will give seventy-five percent harvested resources from all resources the Valuer Empire owns. All the resources that The Valuer Empire currently owns, and the resource point that we find at a later date. The Valuer Empire will deploy our people to harvest and deliver the resources in order to compensate for your loss from our previous agreement,” Hubert added.

Garnet and the three attendants were surprised as well. They agreed to split the resources fifty percent and increase the amount if the Tang Empire declined. They were surprised by Hubert straight telling The Emperor to give seventy-five percent share to the resources.

Hubert changed his mind the moment he met Tang Shaoyang’s eyes. Again, it was his instinct that told him to be more generous than what they had agreed on. He was not lying about showing The Valuer Empire’s sincerity.

“What’s the catch?” Tang Shaoyang narrowed his eyes at Hubert. He believed there was something they wanted from him. He suspected the Valuer Empire might propose to work together to drive off the Gondar Alliance and the Etherna Alliance. However, seventy-five percent was too much for something like that. It made more sense if it was an even split.

Hubert shook his head as he took out a contract scroll from his inventory, “There’s no trap or request. This is to show our sincerity in making peace with the Tang Empire. Of course, we wish for you to forgive my comrade’s offense for attacking you, and we wish for you to release her. However, we will not put that as a condition in the contract.”

Tang Shaoyang frowned his brow as he took the contract. He scanned the contract, and the contract was straightforward. Of course, he was not going to sign it immediately and had someone better than him to check the details of the contract.
