Atticus’s Odyssey: Reincarnated Into A Playground
Chapter 1123 - 1123: HopeBack at the epicenter, there was nothing but chaos.
Atticus and Elderish remained locked in place, both refusing to yield. Their auras screamed against one another, the battlefield twisting between them.
Atticus strained every fiber of his being. His exosuit was active. His dragon scales were alive. Every single power he had unlocked surged within him at once, all coalescing into his Will.
But even then… all he could manage was pushing Elderish’s arm back by an inch.
And that inch, made Elderish’s gaze narrow to pinpricks.
He was shocked. Atticus had just weakened himself by releasing his spirit… and yet he was still this strong? And worse, his life weapon, his katana, was so strong it was steadily cutting through Elderish’s energy layer by layer.
Elderish’s eyes sharpened.
“Enough of this.”
His aura erupted again, rising like a wave. The energy boiled and swelled, and then, with a single push, he unleashed it.
The explosion of power blasted Atticus, sending him hurtling backward at impossible speeds.
He tore through the air, cutting through three domains in the blink of an eye before crashing into the Nullite aegis shield.
BOOM!
The skies cracked above the Nullite lands, sending tremors that shook their domain.
The air was knocked clean out of Atticus’ lungs. A mouthful of blood bursting from his lips.
‘Focus!’
Atticus mind snapped back into place.
His grip tightened around his katana, and with a powerful kick against the shield, he launched himself forward again, the force of his propulsion shaking the Nullite domain as if a warhead had detonated.
He tore through space, crossed the impossible distance in an instant, reappearing right by Elderish just as the man turned toward the human domain.
Atticus’ katana came plummeting, cloaked in deadly momentum.
Elderish’s eyes widened and then narrowed.
“It’s futile,” he muttered, and his arm exploded with energy before driving forward in a punch.
Another explosion.
Atticus was sent flying again, blood spraying into the wind.
But before the haze could settle, he returned, again, slashing with all he had.
Elderish’s expression darkened.
Another punch. Another explosion. Another spray of blood.
Yet Atticus came back. Again. And again.
Each time he was thrown back, he spun midair, slashed again, returned with fury, unrelenting.
‘What is this…?’
No matter how many times he was flung aside, the boy always came back.
Even weakened, Elderish couldn’t take a single one of Atticus’ attacks without defending. The fusion energy in Atticus’ blade was too lethal, if it struck unguarded, it would rip Elderish apart.
And even worse, Elderish couldn’t hold back against him and let Atticus kill him intentionally. The Gardener’s orders had made that impossible. He had to fight. He had to kill. But…
But Elderish was trying not to.
His gaze fixated on Atticus’ eyes as he knocked him back once more.
They were Bloodshot. Wild. Burning. His body was broken, battered, and drenched in his own blood… but still, he came back. His katana still flashed.
Despite being weaker, Atticus’ actions alone were binding him here.
Elderish’s eyes turned cold.
“You leave me no choice.”
Killing intent surged from him like a wave, slamming into Atticus with monstrous force. The energies swirling around his arm morphed, elongating, sharpening, turning into ethereal blades.
He raised them.
“…It’s such a shame.”
…
A streak of purple light tore through the air with such intensity that multiple concentric circles spiraled outward from the shattered sky in its wake.
It crossed the distance between the Aeonians and the human domain instantly, arriving at a scene of total devastation.
The massive tree that once towered at the heart of the human domain was gone.
In its place stood a gargantuan humanoid beast, formed from darkened wood, with a blooming flower growing from the top of its head.
But that wasn’t what seized his attention.
No.
It was the roots, an unimaginable number of them, tearing through the air like tendrils of death.
They converged on the humans and their allies, spiraling. Dread filled every face caught in their shadow.
In the next second, The purple streak flashed downward, slamming into the earth with force.
Its impact birthed a spiraling wave of purple energy, surging outward in all directions. A blinding flash consumed everything, washing the battlefield in a radiant, pulsing purple light.
When the brilliance dimmed, the paragons’ eyes sharpened, adjusting instantly. Their gazes widened in disbelief.
The roots that had been moments from tearing them apart… were gone.
Erased.
In the next instant, they felt it, him.
An overwhelming presence had appeared. The paragons turned instantly.
A figure now stood calmly at their front. And the moment they laid eyes on him, their hearts froze.
Tall. Broad. Radiating a blinding violet aura that shimmered like a living flame. A pair of twin hammers rested in his grasp, glowing with a primal, destructive power.
There wasn’t a single person present who didn’t know that name. Whether it had been at the military training camp against the dragon race leader… or high above the skies of the human domain when he clashed with Jezenet of the Vampyros, both times, his power had shaken the heavens.
Ozeroth.
His aura had already spread out, forming a veil that cloaked the survivors, shielding them from the crushing aura of domination that had been trying to pierce into their minds from above.
Ozeroth turned his head slowly, casting a glance toward the people behind him. His gaze passed briefly over Avalon, Magnus, Ember, Caldor, and the others, before resting on Anastasia.
Then he spoke. Calmly.
“Atticus sent me. I’ll handle this.”
A second of silence. Then…
“WOAHHHHHHH!”
“OZEROTH! OZEROTH! OZEROTH!”
Humanity roared. Their voices shook the dome, filled with nothing but hope. Their apex was still with them!
A wave of relief swept through the paragons. Their shoulders slumped. Fists unclenched and breaths finally released.
The Ozeroth everyone knew would’ve basked in this glory.
But not today.
His expression remained cold. Focused.
He turned to face the giant beast in the distance.
The creature’s face twisted the moment their gazes met. Its eyes was filled with killing intent, the fury in its aura spilling across the battlefield like venom.
It was enraged that Ozeroth had erased its attack easily.
Though it stood taller than skyscrapers, casting a shadow that engulfed the land…
Ozeroth looked at it like it was the tiniest creature he had ever seen.
He said nothing.
There was only one thing on his mind, return to his bond. Return to Atticus.
His eyes narrowed, icy embers swirling behind them. His grip on his twin hammers tightened.
He dipped.
A breathless pause.
Then, Ozeroth vanished.
A flash of purple erupted directly in front of the creature’s head, and with it, a hammer the size of a boulder, streaking forward like divine judgment.
The creature’s eyes had only a moment to explode wide, before the hammer made contact.
The impact was cataclysmic.
A towering column of purple energy erupted into the sky, swallowing everything in its path.
A Blinding light consumed the domain.
