Death... and me

Chapter 3368 The Same Doubt

Chapter 3368  The Same Doubt

Rean thought he had heard something wrong. 'My disciple?'

'Yes,' Roan nodded.

'Zangeshu?' Rean tried to confirm again.

'Have you ever had any other disciple in this place? It's obviously him.' Roan answered.

*Clang, bang!*

Kentucky failed to dodge one of the attacks, and Rean almost didn't react in time to help deflect it with Roan. That was how surprised he was with Roan's words. 'Are you crazy? Sure, I have been training Zangeshu as well, so he wouldn't be completely powerless. However, he truly is no combat-type cultivator. His head only works around his formations and talismans!'

Roan didn't seem to mind. 'That's not a problem. The only thing we need is for him to use one of your weapons and not hold back. Just shut up. I'll pass him the plan.'

Inside the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm, Zangeshu was working on his runes when Roan contacted him. At first, he didn't seem interested in what was happening outside. But when he heard what he had to do, he also thought Roan was dreaming. "Are you trying to send me to my death?"

Roan's voice echoed in the Dimensional Realm. 'Do that, or I will simply throw you out. Now, if you don't want to die, you better do as I say.'

Following that, Roan explained the plan and quickly put it into practice.

*Shuaaaa! Crack, crack, Shatter!*

Herbert and Kalamdra were still in their tight battle, but Herbert was near the end of his reserves. He was considering whether there was a way to escape again when he received another message through his VS Decide. This time, it was Roan contacting him, though.

He read the message with his mind and was quite confused. Roan didn't tell him the whole plan, just that it could give them a real chance at victory. Having followed a similar crazy plan from the twins before, Herbert decided to rely on them again.

His spear gathered even more Water Laws and Element, quickly thrusting it at Kalamdra from the side.

Kalamdra, however, was ready for that and counter-attacked with his weapon. The two collided once again, but Herbert didn't settle down, ignoring the blasting force of the shock and forcing his way through. Even more injuries appeared on his body, but he didn't seem to care.

Kalamdra snorted in response. 'Hmph! Getting desperate, uh? That was a mistake!' His laws and elements also gathered, but he allowed himself to be forced back by the shock wave of the previous attack, giving him time to prepare. Finally, he got ready and attacked again, facing Herbert head-on!

Boom!

Spear and Sword found each other as the laws and elements of water and ice clashed. However, because Herbert forced his way through during the previous attack's shock wave, his attack didn't carry as much momentum as did Kalamdras, so he got the worst of the exchange.

*Vuf!*

*Bang!*

His body was sent flying like a cannonball, hitting a wall too far away. He vomited blood, and his eyes seemed to lose focus for a moment.

Kalamdra definitely wouldn't lose that chance. He quickly shot in Herbert's direction, preparing to follow with his attack. However, it was then that he noticed Herbert had fallen near Rean, Roan, and Kentucky, who were still fleeing from Hiki. A faint smile appeared on his face, and he quickly looked at Hiki, who was also pursuing the twins. That one glance didn't escape Hiki's senses, and he understood. As he passed by Kalamdra, the two suddenly switched targets. Hiki was weaker than Herbert, but he was still a Space-Time Realm expert. He could definitely hold Herbert for a moment, especially since Herbert seemed to be in a terrible condition.

As for Kalamdra, he quickly went after the twins, and because of the previous exchange with Herbert, he was actually closer to the twins and Kentucky than Hiki was a moment ago. His Spatial Laws gathered, and his Ice Domain spread over the twins, slowing them down even more than just the Timer Power from Hiki did.

Kalamdra arrived by the twins and Kentucky's side in an instant, completely locking them down with his much higher cultivation.

"Kalamdra, stop!" Herbert shouted, trying to catch up to the twins. However, Hiki got in his way. "Not so fast. Stay here with me, will you?"

"Fuck!" Rean and Roan cursed, despair appearing on their faces, and they slashed back against Kalandra with all their power.

Too bad that they already weren't a match to Hiki's power, let alone Kalamdra, who had a higher cultivation. The twins' attacks were quickly nullified by Kalamdra's Ice Laws, and even Kentucky's Feather Blades couldn't get close to him. "Gotcha!"

Kalamdra's attacks came down, several icicles and his sword aiming at the twins' limbs and dantians as well as Kentucky's head. He didn't want to kill them but capture them instead. He needed to find what the twins knew that made them so strong with such low cultivation. For that, he intended to kill their Demon Beast and cripple their cultivation. He only needed them alive. Finally...

*Puft!*

*Splatter!*

Blood flowed, and a bloody sword appeared after cutting through flesh. But... it wasn't the twins nor Kentucky's blood that flowed. Instead, a completely different sword from Kalamdra appeared together with a young cultivator who appeared out of nowhere. It was Zangeshu, who was breathing heavily and received several internal injuries. Nonetheless, his sword cut through Kalamdra's head, much to everyone's shock.

"Kalamdra!" Hiki was frightened after seeing that. He instantly gave up holding Herbert and shot in Kalamdra's direction.

Well, he didn't manage to. "Didn't you ask me to keep you company? Why are you leaving so soon? That's bad manners, you know?"

A Spear covered in Water Laws and Elements came from above, forcing Hiki to give up his plans and face it head-on. Naturally, it was Herbert, who wouldn't simply let Hiki go after the twins and Kentucky.

*Bang!*

Herbert might be almost without any energy, but his cultivation was still higher than Hiki's, so he easily stopped the Blood Wolf. Still, he glanced at Zangeshu for a moment, finding it hard to understand. Just where did Zangeshu come from? Also, how come Kalamdra didn't see him? No doubt, that was also the question in everyone's minds.

Truth be told... Zangeshu had been there for a while already.
