Death... and me

Chapter 3370 Shape Change

Chapter 3370  Shape Change

Herbert turned in Samalia's direction, which made all her subordinates raise their guards. Every time Herbert's group seemed to be about to lose, they always made a comeback in some ridiculous ways. The twins, especially, gave them a feeling of dread. As much energy as Herbert's group might have used, or as many injuries as they might have acquired, no one there underestimated them just because of that.

"Samalia," Herbert spoke, "Do you want to try your luck? Perhaps I am weak enough this time that you will manage to capture me. Killing me, however, would be meaningless since whatever I got from the Mist Library would follow me to the grave."

Samalia, who was indeed thinking about it, shook her head in the end. "Let's end this here. I've seen enough to understand that your Flintstone Clan has a bunch of weirdos, especially these two youngsters. That also gives me some hope that if I get into the library, I can get something as good as you guys. But, in exchange, everything that happened had nothing to do with me. Do you agree?"

Herbert faintly smiled, nodding his head. "That goes without saying. My group killed those who attacked us; it's that simple. I have no reason to deny my own group's actions, including my own."

"Good!" Samalia was satisfied. Above all, she just didn't want to get involved with Herbert anymore after he managed to kill the Inquisition Hall experts.

Herbert turned around, jumping on Kentucky's back. He also sent all his clan members into his Pocket Dimensional Realm. "Let's go!"

The twins and Rifindio quickly joined him, and finally, Kentucky took flight again, leaving that room for good.

They didn't make it to the outside of the tower straight away, though. After they traveled a distance Herbert considered good enough, he fell on Kentucky's back, breathing heavily, his Divine Energy in a chaotic state. "I... *gasp, gasp... can't believe we survived... *gasp*..."

Rean laughed, touching his shoulder and sending his Light Element inside. "Hahaha! Well, it is good that we did." He was using his Life World Domain together with Healing Aura to heal everyone, but that wasn't anywhere near as efficient as making direct contact and using his Instant Recovery instead. There was still a difference in cultivation, of course. That said, Rean took several tens of minutes to fully heal Herbert. "Alright, you should have no side effects later on. However, I can't do anything about your energy. You will have to recover it on your own."

Herbert sighed in relief, feeling reinvigorated. "I've seen quite a good number of healing skills, but none of them holds a candle to you. The fact you could also heal us over such a huge area with your Domain was even more impressive. Is the world outside the Divine Snow World that impressive, Fred?" He knew Kentucky, Rifindio, and the twins came from outside, so he attributed their abilities to that.

Rean shook his head, though. "I'm not really called Fred. My real name is actually Rean." After Herbert's display, Herbert at least acquired some of Rean's trust. Even Roan didn't complain about Rean saying his real name, although he found it idiotic.

"Rean..." Herbert thought about it for a moment. "I feel like I heard this name before. Oh, right! You don't happen to be linked with the Divine Snow Mountain, do you?"

"Divine Snow Mountain? What is that?" Rean had no idea at all.

"That is a no. That's what it is," Herbert answered. "It's just that there is a freak called Rean there. As for what the Divine Snow Mountain is, that is one of the top powers of the Divine Snow World, even rivaling the Inquisition Hall. Some say that's because they also have some connection with the Divine Realm big shots, but no one knows for sure."

Rean shrugged. "Well, just how many cultivators exist in the Divine Snow World alone? Let alone this Rean in the Divine Snow World. If we really try to count, we might very well find quite a few million or maybe billions of Reans, Herberts, and so on."

"That's true," Herbert agreed with Rean there. "So, how can you be that strong? Of course, if that's a secret, you don't need to speak. I'm more than happy enough now that I acquired my entire cultivation technique. I don't need to know about your methods."

"It's good you understand that," Roan commented this time. He had no intention of letting Rean or anyone else speak of their methods. Roan's opinion of Herbert grew after Herbert refused to abandon them, but he didn't totally trust the guy either.

Herbert didn't take that to heart. "Very well. Rean, can you heal the rest of my clan members? They are recovering their Divine Energies at the moment, but nothing I have in my Pocket Dimensional Realm can help them recover from their injuries as fast as your ability."

"Sure, bring them out," Rean nodded, not minding it. Their group had already decided to stay there for a while to recover their energies before they made their way out anyway.

Following the next hour, Rean used the Starlight Energy and Divine Stones to recover his Sky Energy together with Roan and Kentucky. Inside the Dimensional Realm, Zangeshu seemed to have completely forgotten he killed a Space-Time Realm from the Inquisition Hall expert, returning to his runes. That was truly a Roan 2.0 personality. And, naturally, Rean also healed Herbert Clan's members. Since their cultivations were much lower, it was a lot faster to work on them.

Time passed, and nothing much happened. Now and then, some other experts appeared where the twins' group was resting, but they didn't try anything and simply left. Even if they didn't know about the battles that took place earlier, who there would be idiot enough to challenge a Peak-Stage Space-Time Realm expert like Herbert? Thus, the twins' group was safer the longer they spent time there while recovering their energies.

"Alright, this should be about it," Herbert crushed a Divine Stone in his hand that was almost empty. "Let's get out of this place."

Kentucky returned to his real form, and Herbert sent his clan members back into his Pocket Dimensional Realm. Then, after jumping on Kentucky's back with Rifindio and the twins, Kentucky took flight once again, making his way out of the tower. Too bad they didn't manage to go much further.

*Rumble!*

The block walls began to detach and rearrange out of nowhere, just like when the pyramid transformed. The Mist Library was about to change shape again.
