Infinite Range: The Sniper Mage
Chapter 402 - 402: 402 – Together, We Are Unstoppable!King’s Authority: Unity of Will!
Orson’s eyes gleamed. Four soul chains shimmered around his limbs, tethering him directly to the soul of the Crimson Lizard King.
Her HP bar dropped by half.
His own?
Skyrocketed to absurd levels.
“Your HP has received a massive boost!”
“Duration: 10 minutes.”
His HP bar expanded tenfold—now even longer than a Saint Lord-class Golden Dragon’s. It was nothing short of ridiculous.
“While in [Unity of Will] state, your beast cannot die, and neither can you.”
“Soul Link active—your thoughts are synchronized. You can sense each other’s intent.”
“Cooldown: 6 hours.”
“This is… a souped-up version of soul-bonded life sharing,” Orson muttered, barely able to contain his excitement.
4.8 billion HP. For the next ten minutes, he was an unstoppable tank from hell.
And this was just one aspect of the Crimson Lizard King’s Authority. What really caught Orson’s attention were the passives: skill sharing and emotional resonance.
He didn’t need to micro-control her anymore. A thought was all it took for flawless teamwork.
“Let’s use this old hag as a whetstone.”
Orson smirked, and the duo swooped low—hurtling straight toward Velorith.
As they closed within 100 meters, Orson instant-switched to his Chaos Swordsman class.
With a single arm sweep, blue battle aura burst out. The Demon Slayer Spear extended from his arcane blade to its maximum.
From a distance, he looked like a melee fighter. But with a 200-meter attack range, he could put every player to shame.
“You damn insect!”
Velorith cursed, leaping skyward and shrinking into human form mid-air—trying to dodge the strike with agility.
“Awakened Skill… Heavenly Fire Slash.”
A calm voice echoed above her head. Velorith snapped her gaze upward.
The sun’s glow pierced the thunderclouds, illuminating her face.
The crimson-gold dragon silhouette was gone.
In its place, a black-scaled warrior, clad in draconic armor and wrapped in death energy, appeared out of nowhere.
She raised a curved blade. Her body blurred into motion like a flash of light—face-to-face with Velorith in an instant.
Fire burst from every angle. Velorith howled as flames engulfed her.
“I am Velorith! I am lightning’s sovereign!”
She roared and raised her lightning sword to block.
But with King’s Authority disabled, her attack strength plummeted.
The black warrior moved with ruthless precision—one slash later, Velorith’s blade shattered with a metallic crack.
This was the Death God Dragon King—unmatched at range, invincible in close combat.
She raised her leg and kicked with savage force.
BOOM!
Velorith’s eyes went wide. She was launched like a missile, crashing down like a meteor.
The black figure looked down upon her and whispered:
“But I… I decide whether you live or die.”
Orson got chills. His own battle companion was too damn cool.
He dashed forward, targeting her landing zone.
Tsunami Slash – Awakened Form!
Whoosh—Whoosh—Whoosh!
The Supreme Arcane Blade danced wildly, slicing through blood and wind.
Orson couldn’t hold it in—he let out a primal roar, fully immersed in the thrill of battle.
The black figure followed, perfectly in sync. Basic attacks chained into skills. A perfect juggle combo—the dream of every melee player.
Skyward and unstoppable—together, they launched Velorith into the heavens.
“I don’t care what kind of Dragon King you are! I’ll skin you and make you our guild’s banner!”
Orson howled, lifting his blade high. The black figure mirrored him, raising her blade at the same angle.
Twin Style!
Synchronized Finish!
“Nether Slash!”
“Nether Slash!”
Two azure-blue energy waves erupted in sync. Wailing spirits emerged from an icy prison, howling and shrieking as they slammed into Velorith’s airborne body.
BOOM! BOOM!
Her body cracked, blood spraying from her scales, and she cratered into the ground, leaving a bottomless impact zone.
Combo x66!
Fatal Hit – 36 million!
“Together… we’re strong.”
Orson whispered, heart pounding.
He paused, instinctively checking the combat log:
(Orgod dealt: 11 million damage)
(Transport Tool No. 1 dealt: 25 million damage)
He cleared his throat. “…I mean, together we’re really strong.”
“OW—!”
A sudden yelp escaped him.
He’d forgotten he couldn’t fly.
CRASH!
Fall Damage – 400k!
Luckily, the shared HP system made it negligible—just a scratch.
“Heh…”
A soft laugh echoed in his mind.
Orson looked up toward the sky, glaring.
“You little punk—why didn’t you fly down and catch me?”
She only giggled again—carefree and smug.
It was a laugh that dealt ten thousand points of psychic damage.
Like she was teasing him on purpose.
“You know why Veijander listens so well, right?”
Orson frowned, trying to set an example with a reformed employee case study.
No response.
Still arrogant.
“I swear, if you don’t act like a proper battle pet, I’ll rebind you with a master-slave contract!”
“You wouldn’t, my lord,” a teasing voice echoed back.
He froze.
Totally outplayed.
She had him wrapped around her claw.
“Damn it… battle pets should stay in their lane. Why the hell are you this smart?”
He dusted himself off and grumbled.
Above, she floated in the sky, her curvaceous form clad in bone-forged armor made of draconic scales, equal parts lethal and alluring.
Behind her, a pair of crimson-gold wings shimmered, like a death goddess descending upon the world.
“And she even comes with auto-censorship glow effects. Not fair.”
Her face was obscured in black mist, her scarlet eyes the only thing visible—glowing with eerie light.
BOOM!
A loud rumble cut off Orson’s thoughts.
A dragon claw burst from the earth.
“Unmatched Dragon God… Lightning shall never fade, even in death…”
Velorith’s thunderous voice echoed. A thundercloud blanketed all of Pondenorlin City in seconds.
“Crap!”
Orson’s eyes twitched.
If a Dragon King was chanting, it could only mean one thing:
Forbidden Curse-tier spell!
“Interrupt her—now!”
His gaze sharpened. He immediately shouted across the region:
“All dragon-slaying players—Forbidden Curse incoming! Evacuate now!!”
He switched to Chaos Mage, activating Whisper of the Wind for maximum casting speed.
Awakened Hurricane Spear!
Awakened Judgment Flame!
…
Four Awakened A-tier spells hurled toward the trembling earth.
Above, the Crimson Lizard King let out a draconic roar.
A black glow shimmered—Dragon Heritage: Phantasm Morph!
With one wingbeat, she soared skyward. Her mouth opened wide.
Death Breath!
A beam of pitch-black flame surged forth. Everything it touched turned to dust.
Combined with Orson’s spells, it carved a rift through the battlefield—direct hit on Velorith.
A shockwave flattened the land. Mountains collapsed.
“Oh no—her Body Domination cooldown is up!”
Orson’s heart skipped.
Lightning Dragon Form!
Velorith climbed from the ground, cloaked in lightning, still chanting in ancient draconic.
Fatal Hit – 120 million!
Death Breath + 4 Awakened spells = MASSIVE damage.
Her body was torn, wings obliterated—but she stood tall.
Still chanting.
Still casting.
Her eyes glowed with madness.
She raised her head proudly.
“You… mortal and serpent—will die here!”
Then—silence.
The lightning stopped.
And Orson… couldn’t breathe.
A massive, city-sized structure appeared in the sky above.
Not real—but a projection from another world.
It was lifeless, gray, terrifying.
A city of the dead—eerily silent.
