Chapter 763: Mother’s Meeting (1/2)

Over a year ago.

Five women gather in front of Michael’s castle in the mountain fortress.

The few servants of the fortress hide while Michael’s gigantic dark mount circles above his castle.

Cecilia is among these women, along with Serena, Sophia’s mother; Claire’s mother; and Donna’s mother, led by Naomi’s mother, Mara.

*ROOOAAARRR!!*

Michael’s monstrous creature roars over the castle gate, clearly trying to deter the group.

"Damn you, Mara," Cecilia can’t help but feel fear and questions Naomi’s mother. "How are we going to force Michael to tell us the truth?"

Before Mara can speak, Emma, Claire’s mother, speaks first. "If we don’t try something, how can we continue fighting without knowing where they are?"

"But we still have so much to lose!" Cecilia isn’t afraid of what Michael might do to her but rather to her people. "If Michael turns against us, everything we sacrificed will have been in vain."

"Don’t be a coward!" Avery, Donna’s mother exclaims. "Michael owes us some answers."

"But we really need some kind of plan," Emma comments. "Just going in there and questioning him doesn’t seem wise."

Trying to think of something, the four women instinctively look to the beautiful red-haired lady, Serena, Sophia’s mother.

"Serena, you are the only one Michael doesn’t hate," Mara comments. "Could you please ask him where our daughters are?"

"Mm," Serena nods, looking at the others with a gentle and calm expression.

"Now we have a plan," Mara comments, then turns to Avery. "Please open this door for us."

Among the group, Avery is the strongest, being the only person in that part of Belor to have reached the Sky Realm besides Michael, although her power is still much inferior to his.

Without a second thought, Avery places her hands on the large doors of the castle and pushes them open, creating a loud creaking sound that echoes through the grand hall.

Immediately, the group is assaulted by a horrible smell emanating from the dark hall, and as the sunlight reaches its insides, they can see Michael sitting on his large black throne.

His condition appears dreadful as if he hadn’t left that throne even to bathe for several days, which in reality had been several weeks, precisely since he sent Lucien and his sisters to Argerim.

When the sound of the door opening and rays of light reach him on his throne, Michael immediately stands up.

"WHO?!?" He looks towards the door and sees someone with red hair, which excites him. "YOU?!?"

But then he realizes that it’s Serena and disappointment fills his face. "What are you doing here?"

Serena has never seen Michael like this, so she is concerned. "We came to see how you are..."

Michael sighs and almost smiles at Serena, but then he notices the rest of the group behind her, and his expression turns cold again.

"Just say what you want," he speaks in a hostile and arrogant tone.

Avery almost lunges at him in fury, but Cecilia and Emma hold her back as Serena walks toward the throne.𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎

"Those are our daughters, Michael, our dear little girls..." Serena speaks in her usual sweet and gentle tone. "You may have forgotten that, but we cannot."

Michael sighs. "It’s no longer under my control..."

"What do you mean???" Avery shouts.

"Exactly what I just said," Michael responds. "I can’t do anything now."

"So what are we supposed to do?!?" Emma asks, equally desperate.

But Michael shrugs. "Wait for her,"

"For who?" Emma and Cecilia ask simultaneously.

"For me." A sweet voice enters through the castle doors along with a strong gust of wind.

Cecilia and the other women instinctively shield their eyes from the powerful wind, and when they look up, there are two hooded figures at the entrance of the hall.

Only their slim bodies are visible, and strands of red hair peek out from under one hood, and pink from the other.

*ROOOOAAARRR—*

Michael’s creature growls as a warning to him, but one of the mysterious figures simply snaps their fingers, and the creature falls from the sky motionless and silent.

As everyone wonders who these people are, one of the figures removes the hood, revealing a beautiful young face and long pink hair.

The girl is so beautiful that she seems like a fairy, but she ignores Cecilia and the other women, casting a sharp look directly at Michael.

"WHAT!??!?" Michael is utterly shocked to see the girl.

On the other hand, she seems to have waited her entire life for this encounter, but instead of an excited expression, she wears a sinister and diabolical smile.

"HI DADDY." Despite the words, the girl’s tone is completely wicked and chilling.

"HOW-" Michael tries to speak.

But the girl vanishes, crossing the hall in less than a second and grabbing Michael by the neck with a brutal grip.

*WHOOSH*

The movement of the mysterious girl generates gusts of wind inside the hall, and everyone looks at her and Michael.

His expression is a mix of shock, anger, and fear. He wants to speak, but the girl tightens her grip, nearly snapping his neck in half.

"Zoe!" Then that sweet feminine voice echoes through the hall again, clearly coming from the still hooded mysterious figure.

The pink-haired girl looks at the owner of that voice. "Mom, please..."

"Zoe..." The hooded woman speaks in a loving but also firm tone. "I told you that you could have anyone, but not him."

"Mom..." Zoe makes a pleading expression like a spoiled child.

"Don’t make me regret bringing you here," the mysterious woman says. "Also, do you really want to deprive Eve of this?"

Upon mentioning Eve’s name, the mysterious woman shocks Cecilia’s group even more, while Michael struggles to maintain his life.

A gentle glint appears in Zoe’s blue eyes, and then she releases Michael, who falls coughing up blood on the floor.

"Be relieved for now," Zoe speaks to Michael in a sinister tone. "But when Eve gets her hands on you... oh, you’ll wish I had killed you a thousand times over."

"Damn it!!" Michael spits out a mouthful of blood before looking at Zoe and then the mysterious hooded woman. "How is this possible?? YOU SAID SHE COULDN’T BE SAVED!!!"

"No," the hooded woman speaks calmly. "I said you couldn’t save her. But how could I deny help to someone precious to my Lucien?"

While Michael is consumed by rage, Cecilia and the other women are again surprised to hear Lucien’s name.

Many questions arise in their minds:

Who is the mysterious hooded figure?

Who is the beautiful and sinister girl named Zoe?

Why does Michael seem like an ant compared to them?

And most importantly, what is their relationship with Eve and Lucien?
