MMORPG: Rise of the Primordial Godsmith

Chapter 1538 - 1538: Gains and Conclusions

“Er…”

Having spent the past four days or so watching the young man fight groups of various monsters as if he were a tireless machine, the attendant that accompanied Ataraxia had grown both astounded and numb towards the sight before her.

After all, aside from the fact that he had shown her time and time again that fighting those monsters were as easy as lifting a finger to him, the young man she accompanied was also someone who was slated to participate in the final tournament being held at the empire.

“Sir Ataraxia?” Continuing to watch the young man sling spell after spell at the monsters that appeared on the killing grounds, the attendant glanced at her tablet for a bit, only to find out that it wouldn’t be long before Ataraxia had to leave the premises.

“You only have a few minutes left,” she said to him, understanding that the latter knew what she was talking about. “If you could wrap up your last fight in the next couple of minutes, that would be great.”

“Got it.” Hearing those words, the young man faintly nodded in understanding before shifting his gaze to look at the monsters that remained on the killing ground.

Not wanting to inconvenience the staff by forcing them to add more monsters for a final wave, Ataraxia went ahead and told them that he would be ending his session after this, activating his buffs afterward to increase his combat strength to its limits.

Then, with Mystic Energy grouping and binding all of the remaining monsters on the killing ground in place, the young man slowly raised his staff into the air, only to then slam it on the floor as a massive wave of light swiftly covered the entire room.

Whoosh!

With both the attendant and the staff caught off guard by the sudden flash of light, the group gradually began to ask themselves whether the spell Ataraxia just cast was actually an excuse for him to leave the room without anyone else knowing he left.

However, as the wave of light gradually disappeared and everyone’s vision returned to normal, the group soon found the young man still standing at the same spot he previously stood.

Though, this time, all of the remaining monsters that previously roamed the killing ground had been deprived of their remaining vitality.

“…Phew.”

Wiping off the sweat that appeared on his forehead, Ataraxia slowly made his way up to where the group stood, taking note of the shocked and confused stares they were giving him.

Faintly amused by the reactions they gave him, he went ahead and grabbed a couple of drinks for himself, downing them in a matter of gulps before posing a question to the attendant. “How much XP do I have to give to the killing grounds?”

“Ah…” Still recovering from the shock she received from the sudden flash of light, the attendant took in a deep breath to compose herself as she slowly took out her tablet.

Tapping a few buttons here and there on its screen, the attendant eventually got the information she needed as she looked back at Ataraxia. “Since you’ve booked a room of the highest tier, you only have to give 10% of the XP you’ve earned throughout the past four days.”

“And how much XP would that be?” asked the young man as he nodded in return.

“Let me check.”

Interacting with the tablet a bit more after that, the attendant’s eyes soon widened in surprise all of a sudden, causing Ataraxia to think that the woman had just seen something she shouldn’t have.

However, as he listened to the next few words that came out of her mouth, he eventually found out that the surprise she felt just now…

…Was caused by him.

“Throughout the past four days, you have killed a total of 5,145 monsters whose levels range from Level 55 to Level 100, and whose tiers range from Elite to Divine Elite.”

Looking at Ataraxia to see if they were still on the same page, she then continued, “The majority of the monsters you killed are at Level 100, which triples the amount of XP you obtained from them due to the level disparity.”

“Then, adding in the XP boost brought about by the monster tiers…”

Taking in yet another deep breath to compose herself, the attendant calmly looked at him in the eye before saying, “In total, you have amassed a total of 28,502,241,458 XP.”

“With that being said, you have to give us 2,850,224,146 XP in reference to the tier of the room you’ve booked.”

“I… see.” Briefly left at a loss for words at the massive amount of XP he earned throughout the past four days, the young man soon regained his bearings as he went ahead and gave the staff their portion of the XP.

Making sure that there were no issues between him and the killing grounds after that, he then proceeded to leave the killing grounds, sending a few words of thanks to Mystia about waiving his fees before making his way back to where Valyr was.

Ding!

“I suppose you’ve gained a decent chunk of XP while you were there?” Expecting the alchemist to respond to his words of thanks an hour or so from now, Ataraxia was slightly caught off guard when he saw that the woman had responded to him only a few minutes after his message.

Pondering over how he should reply to the question, the young man continued to stroll through the streets for a bit more before eventually settling with an answer that seemed to describe his gains best.

“Let’s just say I gained a lot more than what I bargained for.”

“With how much XP you’ve gained there, you’re kind of tempting me to head there in the future.”

Hearing those words being directed at him just as he got back to the workshop, Ataraxia looked at Valyr in the eye before giving him a wry smile.

“I’d honestly suggest heading there sooner rather than later,” said the young man, giving the original identity’s words after a bit of thought. “After all, you can only maximize the amount of XP you gain from there until you’re Level 90.”

“Some other time.” Valyr nodded in agreement, only for his eyes to flash with anticipation soon after. “In any case, now that you have more than enough XP to spend on whatever you want, I suppose we should get that thing over with, no?”

“I suppose we should.” Ataraxia nodded in return, letting out a faint exhale as he sat cross-legged on the ground.

Then, after giving Valyr a brief glance, he closed his eyes before sending a command to the system.

‘System… I would like to ascend.’
