Chapter 6082 Eight Great Divine Commanders - Le XingChapter 6082 Eight Great Divine Commanders – Le Xing
“Long Chen!”
BOOM!
Long Can clenched her hand, and the letter within it exploded.
Her pretty face twisted with savagery, and her eyes burned with a sinister, murderous light.
She sat in a grand palace, her right arm missing. A terrifying pressure pulsed from her, shaking the very walls.
“You damn bastard, I’ll tear your corpse into a million pieces!” she screamed, her fury echoing through the halls.
“Perhaps you should worry more about surviving the Divine Venerate’s wrath,” said a slimy, chilling voice.
Another figure walked into the palace.
Though the door was shut, he passed through it like a ghost.
He was exceptionally handsome, his skin deathly pale, with sharp cheekbones and a high nose bridge. His eyes were eerie, marked by strange black spots like a viper’s gaze. Just looking into them made the soul shudder.
“Le Xing, have you come to laugh at me? If so, you can fuck off!” Long Can snapped, glaring at him.
Le Xing was one of her fellow Eight Great Divine Commanders. He was also an expert who had lived from the primal chaos era.
As Le Xing looked at Long Can lightly, his mouth seemed to curl into a sneer.
He said, “Didn’t you wake up first so you could contribute to the Divine Venerate’s cause before any of us? You wanted to obtain his favor, right? Now, you’ve done it.
“Your cleverness has incited the conflict between the human race and the ten thousand races in advance. You’ve forced the Divine Venerate’s plans to go forward too early. And what happened? Long Chen appeared and directly ruined your plan. Because of your shortsightedness, the ten thousand races now view the Brahma line with suspicion. The Divine Venerate’s strategy is unraveling, and it’s all your fault.”
Shaking his head, he continued, “You then gathered a group of second-rate trash to hunt down Long Chen, hoping to fix your blunder. What happened? They all died. You lost an arm and our reputation You’ve even boosted the prestige of the High Firmament Academy.
“On top of that, the thirty-six Heaven Peering Divine Mirrors have been destroyed—during the exact window when the nine star heirs were undergoing tribulation. It was the perfect time to eliminate them, and you let it slip through your fingers. All of this… because you thought yourself cle—”
“Fuck off!”
Long Can howled and lashed out with her palm, blasting Le Xing’s body apart.
But it was just an illusion.
Le Xing reappeared behind her, calm and unbothered, as if he had predicted everything.
“We’ve always been cautious of the High Firmament Academy. It’s one of the few powers even the Divine Venerate is wary of. That’s why we never engage them directly. But you… you ignored that and attacked Long Chen, while knowing they stood behind him.”
BANG!
Long Can attacked again, blowing apart Le Xing.
Le Xing appeared in another location and continued, “Your stupidity is practically incurable. If I were you, I wouldn’t have attacked Long Chen. I would’ve elevated him—praised him as the human race’s number one expert.”
Long Can’s fury boiled. “Shut your fucking mouth! I don’t need your twisted advice!”
But Le Xing didn’t stop.
“Let him rise. We don’t need to do anything. Let the world crown him, as with that title comes enemies. The human race is full of proud, peerless geniuses. They would’ve gone after him themselves. And with Long Chen’s temperament, how long do you think he would’ve tolerated it? Sooner or later, he would have erupted. When he did, rivers of blood would follow—whether he was the killer or the killed. Either way, we win.”
Long Can remained silent, trembling. Her one-armed body was already too injured to fight Le Xing. She could only grit her teeth.
Furthermore, Le Xing’s words sounded hateful to her, but she couldn’t argue against their logic.
Le Xing said, “If Long Chen were killed, his Dragonblood Legion and lovers would bathe the land in blood to avenge him. If he killed others, the powerful factions behind them would retaliate. The cycle of vengeance would spiral beyond control. And once the other races saw the human race devour itself… well, they’d come for him too.”
“Why are you telling me your plan? I don’t believe you’d be that nice,” said Long Can coldly.
Le Xing’s sneer faded into something more cryptic. He replied, “Despite your idiocy… despite your arrogance and failure… you’re still one of the Eight Great Divine Commanders. My comrade.”
“You little shit!” Long Can cursed furiously.
However, Le Xing ignored her.
Le Xing said, “One of us has already fallen. Our eight-man roster is broken. And that means our positions are no longer secure.”
“Impossible… That’s not how this works!”
Le Xing sneered. “To Lord Brahma, we are all pawns. Once a pawn loses its use, it will be cast aside like garbage. Furthermore, the faith energy within us belongs to Lord Brahma. He can always take it back!”
Long Can wore a terrified expression. She had never thought about this.
Seeing her expression, Le Xing looked at her with irritation.
He said, “I don’t intend to be thrown away alongside you because of your stupidity. The Brahma line is overflowing with monsters and prodigies. A massive amount of effort and faith energy has been invested in them—how much, we don’t even know. Lord Brahma would never tell us, but we should be smart enough to sense it.
“When the time is ripe, they will replace us and become the new Divine Commanders. That part doesn’t matter—being replaced is natural with the coming of a new era. But the true danger is being eliminated before that moment comes.
“So wake up. Stop basking in your former glory and realize the truth. In the eyes of the Divine Venerate, everything useless will be mercilessly discarded. If you don’t want to die before your time, reflect on my words, you foolish girl.”
With that, Le Xing turned and passed through the doors like a shadow, vanishing from sight.
The palace became deathly silent.
The only sound that followed was the creaking of Long Can’s clenched fists. Her knuckles turned white, and her nails dug into her palms as her hatred for Long Chen surged through every fiber of her being.
She would pay any price to kill him.
However, even killing Long Chen wouldn’t undo her failure. Once Divine Venerate Brahma awoke, she might truly be “recycled”—just as Le Xing warned.
Her only hope now was to turn the tide. She had to make Long Chen the target of the human race and, if she played it right, of the other races as well.
If the momentum in the nine heavens tilted in the Brahma line’s favor, she would still claw back her chance at survival. If not… she would be discarded like trash.
“Send down the word! Stop all plans targeting Long Chen! And inform the Soaring Dragon Company—spread the news that Long Chen has claimed the title of the human race’s number one expert!”
“Yes!”
“Wait! He once said something arrogant… what was it again? That’s right—‘Beneath Sovereign Lords, I am unmatched. Amongst Sovereign Lords, one for one!’ Spread that too!”
“Yes!”
Long Can clenched her fists.
“Damn Long Chen, if I can’t kill you, I’ll toy you to death!”
