Number One Dungeon Supplier

Chapter 2195: No.8’s Resolve

The meeting ended without a hitch and Jin bid them farewell. Kalki surprisingly returned with Jin to the office as if to honour the agreement they had with the Commando Mages. Despite the roundabout way Jin had decided to employ to make his Mages feel that vengeance was a useless thing to pursue, she believed that ultimately there was a role to play for her.

Surprisingly, it also seems like some of the battle driven Dashavatara had decided to take the opportunity to follow Kalki mainly because they were too bored from all the waiting that was done to get the exodus of the Celestial Armies out of Lyro. This undoubtedly gave a glimpse of the Celestials in their home plane that the Dungeon Supplier store might possibly be a success if done right.

Their boredom might possibly be the problem that caused them to casually go around planes to annihilate worlds in the name of 'balance'. To them, they never have to worry about the consequences because none of them were able to lift a finger against them. They had always been expecting fierce resistance from such worlds but that was not always the case.

So, when Jin was able to do so, the armies were unprepared for such life and death battles where a number of the Celestial minions had to go through their reincarnation cycles to resurrect back again. Only the major ones such as the Dashavataras were returned to life with the aid of the System. Experience tales at empire

When Jin saw that Parashurama, the Celestial Avenger, and Narasimha, the Celestial Half Lion Berserker, had decided to follow Kalki back to his office, he did not object to their presence at all. Besides, he believed that with the hotheadness of his Commando Mages especially when it comes to this issue, those Celestials might be the solution to the problem.

He initially roped Kalki in because she was the only one in his opinion who was able to see and talk sense with him. But right now having Parashurama and Narasimha along with Kalki, it should be a walk in the part for them to have a good fight with the Commando Mages if they really made such a ruckus should they not accept the solution that Jin had come out with.

However, to his surprise when he got back to the Office, almost everyone had returned from the dungeon instance, dejected. The only person who did not return was none other than No.8. The rest had somehow accepted No.2's explanation and it seems that they did not fare as well as the 'hunters' of the Commando Mages.

Thus, when Jin entered the office, the rest of them bowed their heads to apologise for the rash behaviour which they had shown their King.

"Its fine. Quite a number of us had been through that kind of stage before. I am more worried about No.8 since she decided to end this all by herself regardless of the cost." Jin said as he looked at the magic eye to see which stage she was at.

To his surprise, it was still at the stage where he had left No.2 and No.7. Apparently, they were not able to clear the requests that Vishnu had given them and he believed it was similar to the double meanings that Vishnu has given to No.2 and No.7.

If they had killed 'Game Meat' in the first place instead of rescuing it from the Shadow Predators, the cycle to ask them to redo the task would make it even more difficult.

Thus, when the other Commando Mages heard about their endeavours, they believed that they had gone wrong because of the puns that Lord Vishnu had placed as part of their tasks. At the same time, Jin casually asked if anyone wanted to beat up some Celestials since he had brought company with him.

Only No.5, 6, and No.7 requested a match as they honestly wanted to know how strong they were in comparison with the Celestials. Naturally, Jin granted them the honour and allowed them to fight in a separate dungeon instance.

(This way, he did not need to entertain the guests.) And because of the failure the others had done, they too decided to join so as to remove themselves from the shame they had for disappointing Jin once they learned the reason of his dungeon instance.

The only person that needed more convincing was undoubtedly No.8 and despite everyone knew and hope to support her, they had been played too hard by Jin (and in turn, Vishnu with his ridiculous antics) that No.8 decided to complete all the tasks that her fellow Commando Mages had failed to do.

After all, she did not care how much time was needed but it required her to get this out of her chest, to do justice to the lover that she adored from the start.

Obviously, she did not make it apparent since this relationship was kept under wraps but the death of her partner had made it extremely unbearable and unacceptable that he could die just like that after all the hardship and tribulations they had gone through together. All she wanted was just a simple life working hard with No.4 but this reality would never come back again.

She took it so hard that everyone in the Commando Mage squad knew of her predicament and thus also decided to strive with her so that they could clear this 'regret' that she had with the entire group but they too had their limits.

No.2 stated that most of the Commando Mages that had been assigned with individual tasks failed for about 50 over times repeatedly before he decided to intervene and told them their King's agenda in this.

Jin knew that No.2 was a logical person but he never expect that he would be equally capable to convince the other Commando Mages to his side of the story. The king merely used him as a buffer so that he could perform the meeting with the Celestials and subsequently handle the aftermath.

He did not expect he was able to convince everyone except for No.8 whose resolve was unmatched compared to the rest of the Commando Mages.

Thus, he decided to give No. 2 a break on the sidelines and monitor how No.8 decides to pull through everything. After all, he felt that he had a bit of responsibility for letting No.4 die just like that as well.
